It's taboo for most people; so they don't usually discuss it. As gross as it may be, I don't see incestual relationships as a problem if both parties are consenting adults. I don't think it's fair to compare incest to necrophilia or beastiality because dead people and animals cannot give consent.

It should be legal. The "You might get a deformed baby!" line of reasoning is terrible.

To my knowledge the increase in possible birth defects due to a 1st generation of in breeding isn't all htat high. I have heard that an old woman actually has a higher chance of birth defects, though I do not believe she should be barred from romantic relationships.

I just find it a silly line of reasoning. If we're outlawing incest for that reason then people with genetic disorders or people over X age should be barred from having sex, period.

Also incestous couples don't HAVE to have children. Theres no requirement to have kids in a relationship.

I personally see nothing wrong with incest and find it's illegality to be silly. What two consenting adults who love each other do=none of my buisness.
