[QUOTE="Eddie5vs1"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]I think his ideas he tries to get passed border on absurd. His views on what's right for this country and how to "fix" it are just the same, IMO. If you need more than that, go check out one of the other 100 Obama threads from this week. :)

Thankfully his own party which controlls everything currently doesn't think so. And Bush was so different? Oh wait, Bush was AMAZING. Whether it'd be a completely unnecessary, high budget war, or putting us into this freakin ditch... which Obama has done a good job of digging us out of recently.[QUOTE="Eddie5vs1"]Ok, to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Personally I think he's spot onPirate700
2012 is too far away at this point, but who says he'll even be the nominee? I mean he most likely will be, but say things don't improve by 2012 and his approval rating continues to dip, you know very good and well that Hillary would mount another Presidential bid.
Remember, Ted Kennedy ran against President Carter.
The big difference is that Kennedy wasn't a member of the Carter administration. If Hillary was still in the senate, I could see her running in 2012, but there's no chance in hell that she runs against Obama now.2012 is too far away at this point, but who says he'll even be the nominee? i do not want hiliary clinton as president
First off we don't know if he'll seek a second term. The country, under his policies, could deteriorate and he may decide to not seek re-election. There also could be a Republican or Third Party candidate whom I agree more with and decide to vote for.
To sum things up, it's way too early to even be discussing this.

Too early too tell -- also depends on his policies and what he does in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Also depends on who is running against him in 2012.
Hmm...don't recall saying Bush was amazing in any of my posts. No, but you did find it amusing that Obama's party is disagreeing with him. I'm not really going to consider such a thing until we hit 2011 and then make an assessment of the other candidates.

It doesn't matter if you think he's was great, sucked or anything in between. Obama is in power now and we need to start judging him. Not Bush.[QUOTE="GodofBigMacs"] And Bush was so different? I'll be old enough and it really depends. Honestly I wasn't to big on McCain, and Sarah Palin was just an embressment. But not exactly a fan of Obama eithers though. Basically you could say it depends on who's running and my thoughts on Obama in 2012. However I can tell you that if Sarah Palin gets nominated, lol i'd vote Obama
Probably. I voted for him in last time, but we'll see what happens. I won't vote for Romney, Huckabee or Palin if they are the GOP candidates though.
The big difference is that Kennedy wasn't a member of the Carter administration. If Hillary was still in the senate, I could see her running in 2012, but there's no chance in hell that she runs against Obama now. I agree her being in his administration makes it harder, but if his approval ratings are down in the 30s (that's a big if), I still think she would give it a go. I wouldn't be surprised if she puts herself in a place where she strongly disagrees with the President on many foreign policy issues just so she can resign as Secretary of State. IMO, Hillary Clinton will do anything to be President, and I don't doubt for a second that she feels like she was robbed.[QUOTE="peaceful_anger"]

He hasn't even been in office for a year yet, how could I know. I voted for him, but if he screws up I won't vote for him again. Who blindly votes?
grenadexjumpr
Um...pretty much the only reason he was elected was because of people blindly voting either because:
A. He was a black man
or
B. He wasn't Republican
There were 22 kids out of 25 in my government course in highschool, just as an example, that voted for Obama. When the 2 of us that Voted McCain asked the 22 why they did...
well...not a single one could explain nor really NAME a policy of Obama's that would ACTUALLY work outside of theory and not a single one of them could actually come up with a legitimate reason why he was better than any other candidate.
I guess so. Truthfully, blind votes were the main reason he was elected. Dah well....

Even more so on the other side of the fence. Both sides are guilty of blind voting. So what? That's the American political system.[QUOTE="grenadexjumpr"]

Blind votes are always a factor. Plenty of people like Obama's policies enough to vote for him solely for that reason, and not because of his race or his party.Since it's my first time voting in 2012... I want to make a smart decision. So noOblivionfan10

Talk about blind voting there. It really depends on who the Republican candidate is (and how Obama does)... but as of now, looking at the possible candidates (Huckabee, Palin, Jindal, etc.) I'd say there's a very, very good chance I'll vote for Obama.chessmaster1989I think Huckabee would be a good option. I think McCain would be an awesome option again if he wouldn't be about 100 by then. :P
