@darksusperia: Â I'm sure you know this, but just incase...the 780 has some limited voltage controls...try ramping up the volts and seeing what you can score (if you didn't already do this).
updated.Updated my score after updating drivers and further stabilizing ram since the test never wants to complete without encountering errors past 3.7GHz on the CPU): http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/700644<--my score of 4511 :)

That's pretty much a Titan score! Â Unreal! Â :o
If you adjust for the fact that the score I have posted in this thread is for a volt-modded Titan, then I'd say they are very close.
I bet you are pretty happy right now. Â :D
Very happy with the card.I tried increasing the power target to 106% along with the temp seeing as they are linked, prioritizing power. No matter what I did it sat at the 1.16v, wouldnt budge. I havent tried using the over voltage function in precision. Im still very happy with the gains from the little OC on it seeing as its on stock voltage :D@darksusperia: Â I'm sure you know this, but just incase...the 780 has some limited voltage controls...try ramping up the volts and seeing what you can score (if you didn't already do this).

You can unlink Power target & Temp target. Â Very useful if your cards aren't getting hot, just prioritize Temp target only...
EDIT - Your voltage is probably not going any higher due to stock voltage. Â Try the voltage controls in Precision, I think you can get it to 1.2 V (you can in Titan, probably the same on 780). Â Your card is capable of 1.2125V overall, but to go past 1.2V you will need a custom BIOS, which will void your warranty...well it will UNLESS you have an EVGA card, in which case there is a nice exception. Â :) Â Is yours EVGA?

You shouldn't have any problem running any game at almost any setting with that card, coupled with the rest of your nice rig. Â :)

absolutely. Im starting with tomb raider as that was the first game I started putting off playing way back then (worked through my backlog up until now). I guess I will find out soon enough with the other games. Im currently @ 1200p but I have been looking at either a 1440p or a 21:9 monitor as my next move. Unsure as to which yet.Yay, sorry for the constant updating, but I started tinkering a little with OCing the gpu, and surprisingly, I had a weird thought to raise the fsb and lower the multiplier from 14 to 13.5, and now I'm able to finish the benchmark with at least 3.78GHz. Weird. Anyway, new score :P : http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/716003
Â
I find it crazy how much of a difference OCing was able to get me, even if just moderate changes. I went from my original score of 4394 all the way to 4685 :)

Thanks :) On a side note, I'm sorta waiting for someone with an AM3+ cpu, such as the 8350, to post scores just so I can see the physics score lol. I'm really surprised to see my 6 core phenom performing almost as well as an i5 2500k @ 4.3ish in the Firestrike test. It would be nice to fool myself into believing that AMD might have an advantage further down the road in some way that I could hang onto this processor a little longer :PWeird_Jerk
Well now that my hardware problems are FINALLY solved as of yesterday (I'll tell you guys about it later...I have had TERRIBLE luck with computer parts the past few days!) I have now had a chance to start playing around with my new 6-core (Intel) CPU.
Anyway, even at stock the thing is beating my 2600k @ 4.7 in Firestrike Physics:
What this tells me is that Firestrike Physics does a lot better with more cores/threads. Â So I'm not totally shocked that an AMD 6-core CPU is doing well.Â
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/503962
6444  firestrike score. i5 3570k oc to 4.2 and a single  evga gtx670 ftw.
Yeah, I was thinking that, too :P I'm just really hoping that with the multi-core optimization that my older 6 core will outlast some of the newer quad cores (Intel or AMD, I'd be happy either way lol, my cpu is getting old!)Weird_JerkYou got the first hexa-core from AMD? I think a friend of mine has the same one and he has been very happy with it for the years he has had it.

I have my overclock with a different multiplier depending on active cores. (42,42,41,40 I think) firestrike is also showing my ram as 1333 when its 1866 .
oops previous was at idle  . Im trying to stay low though- i think im atjust .0010 + offset. I think i gotta reapply the thermal grease though, as my temps used to be lower. Got some shinetsu microsi- been lazy. Maybe than i will up the voltage and go for higher. Dont think my p8z77-v-lk is a great overclocking though- had my share of bootloops after overclocking with it when i first got it - had to pull the cmos battery.
Here it is while running 3d mark . I believe when its running on 1 or 2 cores its a 4.2, 3 is 4.1 , all 4 is at 4.0. Â Have not changed anythingÂ
Since I was encouraged to keep trying as many times as I needed, I have yet another new high score! http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/723431 from 4685 to 4734 :) I'm not sure how much more I can keep pushing this 660, but I'm at the 1055t's limit as far as finishing/not finishing the benchmark goes lol.
I would like to submit a new single GPU score. Â :)

And you should be able to bench at 4.4+ without issue. Â :D
EDIT- Yes, there should be an easy way to get it going without a crash/freeze/BSOD, and I'll let you know the most efficient way to do so once I figure it out myself haha. Â Â

Good stuff! Â :D
Aaaaaaaand one last post. Alright guys, this is it. This is as far as she'll go. I OC'd the cpu up to 3.847GHz @1.45V, the CPU/NB @1.25V. The gpu's core clock was at 601MHz (1202 total), and the memory clock was at 3305MHz (6610 total) @1.15V :) Here's the result: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/724389
Feels bad not being able to achieve a higher score. Maybe I'll have to flash an edited bios for the gpu, idk. Anyway, as I said just a little earlier with my last post, I'm pretty happy with the gains I've gotten (from the original 4.3k score to almost 4.8k). Not too shabby :) I'm just a little disappointed I couldn't pass 2ndWonder on the scoreboard lol. His score just above mine was an inspiration haha!

I wish that one bit further could've been past 2ndWonder! :P First it was the CPU, then it was the 3300MHz cap on the gpu, and even volted to the max, I couldn't add anymore than 76MHz to the total core clock :( It just can't go any further. Maybe we'll see if I post again when it's -20C outside again instead of 29.5C hahaha. Maybe my CPU and GPU will be able to take a greater beating before I upgrade.

If you really want the most bang for your buck you should get yourself a GTX 780.
A 780 is pretty much a Titan for a fraction of the price, and this thread shows how much Titan/780 outperforms everything else in their class.
780 is the way to go if you want to get the most for your money...

Â
$660 is alot of money for a video card. Â Bang for buck is relative, I was able to get my 7970 for $300 and it came with 3 free games with a retail value of $160 at the time. Â Pretty damn good considering how close the 7970 is to a 780/titan. Â The only nvidia cards i would be interested in buying right now is the 650ti and the 660 and the last nvidia card I purchased was a geforce 460 gtx. Â Won't be coming back to them until they give me a solid reason to buy their cards.
Congrats on the 3930k btw, it was annoying seeing you with 2 titans and a core i7 2600k....talk about IMBA.
