I'm really thinking about getting back into Guild Wars for some fun but I only have prophecies and haven't played the game properly in about 4 years :3 Worth it, or shall I just continue to wait forever for GW2? Thanks.-Feath-

Well it shouldn't be forvever. If you still have an account why not just login and see what's shaking and start playing it properly. But most that get back into it still seem to enjoy it. Good luck!

Eh, it just shows that WoW isn't the only game that hasOCDaddicts.The difference is that no one bumps the WoW threads because they're too busy playing the game to hang out in a dead-horse thread.

I know its kind of wierd to bring another game into the the GW thread, but seriously, i was really close to buying Aion, and now that ive seen the GW2 trailer (I cried watching it. tears of joy i assure), idk what im getting. curse you Anet! You hold my gaming life by the choke hold, and im loving it like some Masochistic person to an abusive boyfriend. (long story short, GW rocks)

I went to PAX in Seattle WA and I got a free art book and I got it signed by the Guild Wars team. This will definately make a nice addition to my living room table.

Totally hear you on the Aion thing. I so wanna play Aion but I'm not a mug, and paying subscription fees for a game I've already payed for makes me feel like I'm one.

I want GW2 now. Like...right now! :p

I loved GW and actually still play, though admittedly much less than I once did - which I guess is normal as we all like to do other things and play other games from time to time. The GW2 trailer made my heart skip a beat. For reals. I know, I'm THAT sad...lol

Guild Wars is something I play with my other half, though. It's like our own little fantasy world where we can frolic together -- um, ok, TMI maybe. Anyhow, we're looking forward to what we know is going to be an amazing looking game (no cartoon characters running around with giant feet and hands), with a wonderful storyline, and great, compelling, and interesting gameplay with quests that don't just consist of killing a bunch of things over, and over, and over again.

I squee everytime a bit of info leaks through. Total fan-girl squee at that ^^

the reemergence of guildwars 2 has made me put off my plans of buying another mmo. unless its completely amazing ill try one, maybe even play it for a bit (champions online, swtor). but deep down inside i'm really waiting for guildwars2. the feeling guildwars gave me when i first logged in i have never got from another game. ever. i'm hoping gw2 can give me that feeling again. I think there is a good chance of that. From talkingwith the Guild Wars team at Pax they were very excited and proud of what will be coming.

If Guild Wars 2 was not enough, ArenaNet seems to have really been paying attention to what fans have been asking for in other mediums. One of ArenaNet's crown jewels is their art team. They have produced hands-down some of the best concept art I have ever seen. Their art constantly appears in trade magazines and books like Spectrum. Now, they are going to be releasing a hardback, 128-page concept art book for Guild Wars 2. Fans have been asking for something like this for a long time.The book'sfirst showing will be at the upcoming PAX, where they will be giving the books away! Worry not, those stranded in sunnier climes, the book will go on sale at a later date.

On another note, while Guild Wars 2 news is still coming at a decent pace, some of it is crafted through lore forum theory, wiki postings by the devs, or other "off the radar" bits. Right now the folks at Guild Wars 2 Guru are doing a great job at putting these blips on a central radar on their front page. Things like Guild Wars 2 gun concept art!

look at that gun! and also, it seems theres a guildwars novel in the making (too bad it will never be available where i live). guildwars (and gw2) does have some great art. best loading screens ive ever seen in an mmo. i think im getting a little excited :PKh1ndjal

Well, actually the bumping of this very old thread is rather disruptive, irrespective of the number of times it has happened since 2006. In my opinion, all good things must come to an end, and it is time to let this thread rest in peace. :)

You may of course create new Guild Wars discussions, but be careful not to disruptively bump them in future.
