Nice to see your keeping this up GPAddict, but you should try adding some third-party GW websites besides pages from the official Guild Wars website. I know for sure there are tons of websites that provide a mine of information, stuff you couldn't even get anywhere else, not even on the official website.Drunkentig3r
Thanks for your support and your suggestions, I will do my best. Still hoping I get a sticky...
How do I know which item to expert salvage or just salvage normally. Also can i preview what I will look like before I dye my clothes? Because I think that sometimes the color isnt exactly what you dye it.siskokidd
salvage all white items.
blue and better you use expert on.
remember to use an identification kit on EVERYTHING. even the stuff you want to sell. sometimes the price will double of what its worth if you identify it..

I never noticed before, but man you really like to post alot! DANG!!! :)
Yep I was famous (infamous?) for defending GC Masterpiece Metroid Prime in System Wars for a long time.
Now it seems I've been doing the same for Guild Wars lately ;).
how do you jump in the game? is jump some elite skill you get when ure high level?
also for some reason when i leave town, i am all by myself, no one is around :( am i brocken or something
dareevil87
Oops, I must have missed this question some how. Sorry about that.
You can acually jump in the game but only in place or in one spot. There is no need to jump anywhere in the game. Just type "/jump" in the command line interface or chat interface.
No you are not broken, When you leave town you will only find NPC(s) and enemies and some wild creatures. But if you get a group of other players with you (and this is best for better drops) they can come along with you and travel the GW universe.

Who did you have to defend that game from!?!?!?!??!?!? Metroid Prime is one of the greatest games ever made. That and Windwaker were really the only reasons I bought the GC (although Windwaker was not as good as Ocarina of Time).[QUOTE="AFBrat77"][QUOTE="GPAddict"][QUOTE="AFBrat77"]Level 37

For the record, Guild Wars got a 9.6 from me. Believe it or not, I'm a tough grader.
When I'm a ranger do I lose my pet after a while?siskokiddThe only way you can lose a pet is to go to the tamer and give your pet to him. If you remove your skill, you DO NOT lose your pet. You just don't have him with you because you don't have the skill equip. If you put that skill back on and go back outside, you will have your pet back.

And if it is a perfect mod on a weapon with 2 mods, use a superior salvage kit because it will give you the best chance of getting the perfect mod over the lesser mod. Same with I.D. kits. A superior I.D. kit will give you better results when you I.D., but really should only be used on gold weapons. I superior I.D.ed a non max gold sword and got a +30 (perfect) health mod from it.
i came back from my vacation, in which i usually get rid of my pc, and there's this NightFall all of the sudden. somehow, the pace of these ex. pack releases bother me....it's as if ArenaNet has toppled over into the money making frenzy....i doubt NF would be a satisfying experience, not with such rushed effort...... :?
I have been wondering the samething myself. I loved prophecies because I wasn't into PvP yet and Prophecies has a really long story and takes along to beat (unless you just rush through and don't improve your chars much), then came factions which lvled you way to fast and the game was over before it started. Good for them they brought along alliance battles which I like alot and play all the time. I beat the game with 3 different chars and now mainly just play AB. Now you have Nightfall which is being released only about 6 months after factions. I can't see them adding to much to the PvP part and who cares if the henchies can now be customize if the story is going to be even shorter than factions. I sure hope I am wrong, but it sure is starting to seem like a rush job and thats never good.i came back from my vacation, in which i usually get rid of my pc, and there's this NightFall all of the sudden. somehow, the pace of these ex. pack releases bother me....it's as if ArenaNet has toppled over into the money making frenzy....i doubt NF would be a satisfying experience, not with such rushed effort...... :?

Guild Wars NightFall started development almost a year ago. You can try the event, very soon.
check it out; http://youtube.com/watch?v=8mjPJ9QIbxk
Rememeber that you don't have to buy these expansions. they won't make you inferior in pvp. they just give you less options(skills and classes) to choose from. You dont have to get factions either.
you as a consumer can vote with your wallet. go on www.guildwarsguru.com or another GW fansite and log on their fan forums and tell ArenaNet what you would like in a GW campaign and what you won't.
GW Factions was mostly focused on PvP. GW Nightfall will mostly be based around PvE, featuring over 20 Story missions, traps, and heroes.
the graphic shown in the trailer seems to be much more robust than that of GW.....is it an updated engine? i sure hope i won't need to upgrade my pc... :?
would it require substantial hardware upgrade? i hope not......Jinroh_basicno, its the same engine as before but with new effects and such, a bit slower but not enough to need new hardware. You can expect better lighting, water, and effects for skills and such.
hmm....this thread is kinda quiet....maybe i should shake things up abit...
maybe you guys can give me some advice as to how i should build my mes/nec? she's currently at L10, and is always running low on mana :? also, i couldn't figure out which skill set i should use....so, skill points distribution, skills to equip, anything suggestion is welcome. :)

Have her (him?) wear the Enchanters Outfit, it looks good on a female Mesmer and adds Energy.
I know, I have a lvl 20 Mesmer/Warrior, she looks great
True, but so did CD media as well at first. Gaming needs something new right now. Guild Wars sounds like a great game from what a friend of mines is telling me. One question though. Did the experience bring a totally new experience or just another game? Even if it was a great game, did it bring something new to the table beyond what we already know about gaming? At E3 nothing on PC or Console brought anything new to the table except Nintendo. Yeah they may go belly up if this doesn't work, but at least they are trying to bring somethign new to the table. Graphics will continue to get pretty, but does that make the game experience better. Not saying blue ray is going to change anything if the game makers are going to keep spitting out crap, but it can open up some doors for more robust gaming, longer games even. with the amount of space it holds we could put a years worth of gaming on one disc. I am a gaming fanatic and kind of getting bored again. Need the next generation to step in and bring something new. Can't wait to get my hands on GWs and see what it is made of. But I think it will be a great game, but just another game.

Well I'm sure blue-ray or whatever new standard that comes out that provides huge media storage capability will be made to work on PCs. Thing about PCs is that there are many things you can do on a PC, you CANNOT do on a console. Feel free to tells us what you think of GW whenever you get around to getting it.

Its energy, not mana :)
Try http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page
You can get alot of great information there. I have only done a Ranger/Elementalist, and an Assassin/Monk so far.

NCSoft said that there will be graphical updates, without having to update computer specs. Kinda nice for people with older comps. :)
You can buy character slots from the store ingame. You also get new slots when you merge one chapter with another.teebeenz
Will there be additional character slots on my existing account, if I purchase Guild Wars Factions?
A Factions account offers 4 slots that provide access to the Cantha only, just as Guild Wars (the original Prophecies campaign) offers 4 slots for access to Tyria. If you choose to link your Prophecies and Factions accounts, you will have a total of 6 character slots, and all characters will be able to access to all areas of the map.
Thats the one I assume, the Nightfall preload is STILL downloading...just went passed 260megs :) Ill watch then after. Oh and I redid the whole thing on the Nightfall free weekend thread.http://www.gamespot.com/pages/profile/video.php
Just uploaded several Guild Wars videos for you guys! Check it out! No need to download em, just watch and enjoy. Thanks teebeenz for the suggestion!
