Woohoo! 101st post on my MEGATHREAD!

For an added bonus, the November 2006 issue of PC Gamer magazine, due in stores a week before the event, boasts a Guild Wars Nightfall cover story, and includes an access key for an exclusive, in-game, Gray Giant miniature. The Gray Giant will be useable during the World Preview Event, and then may be reactivated with a Guild Wars Nightfall account upon release.

I only get Maximum PC and Computer Gaming Magazine, so I might have to hit my local bookstore and pick it up. BTW I think miniature = minipet, but not 100% sure.

I just started an Assassin, but I feel the game is very unforgiving with him. Does anyone have any good tips to be a good Asssassin? Mainly for PvE. I want to get through the storyline first!:)LuffyTubby

Currently using Pure Assassin Build

DM 16 (12 + 4 (-75 Health due to DM Superior Rune))

SA 8 (6 + 2 (-35 Health due to CS Major Rune))

CS 13 (12 +1)

Health 420 (370 + 50 (sup vigor))

Using all NightStalker Armor = Armor +15 (While attacking)

Weapon = Barbed Zodiac Daggers of Enchanting (RARE)
Piercing Damage: 7 -17
Dmg + 14 (while Health > 50%)
Lengthens Bleeding duration on foes by 33%
Enchantments last 20% longer

Skill Bar:
1. Way of Perfection (SA)
2. Shadow Refuge (SA)
3. Leaping Mantis Sting (DM)
4. Jagged Strike (DM)
5. Wild Strike (DM)
6. Death Blossom (DM)
7. Twisting Fangs (CS)
8. SoC or Rez

with NF coming soon, i wonder if i should buy Factions just as i had intended to......i don't like the new professions....but i definitely LOVE the Kurzick armour design. :D

Well I think FACTIONS is good, maybe not as good as the original, but good.

You guys ever wonder why they make female characters in mmos so......well, hot. I mean look at what they wear, if she was really going to go into battle she would atleast cover up her skin whith some real armor.

While there is no denying that in Guildwars like in many online games, women would probably have better protection if they went to battle in their underwear rather than in their armor (actually the female ranger underwear convers more skin than the female druid's 15k armor), in Guildwars the same thing aplies to several male characters too. Gladiator's armor for the warrior only protects the shoulders while monk tatoos and necro scars can hardly be considered armor at all. They give a good 60Al though :)

I show off more skin in order to throw off the enemy, except this tactic doesn't work on all enemies. Its hard to fight when you are a little TOO excited! :wink:

Er I just see blank.

I have a Warrior and I have monk and assassin as secondaries. I'm just trying to finish up all these quests that seem to take forever to do. It's always, come here, then go a mile away, then come back to the place you were before, etc.

I have a bunch of skills, but I'm never sure what to use. I mean I could use knockdowns, stances or straight out damage spells, etc. Sometimes I can't even decide which gets annoying.

i'm trying to build up my Mes/Nec as well, but without much success. the people around say that the Mes is the most challenging profession, that may well be true. i feel they forgot about the "unrewarding" part, though..... :?

Well the Assassin is also challenging and many that don't know how to play them and give the other "GOOD" Assassins like myself (took some time though) a bad wrap. You have to experiment and test and see what works best with you. That is the thing I love about Guild Wars, the right skills and execution of those skills accompanied with right armor and weapon(s) is what make you a loser or a winner.

Thats probably what drew me to being a Mesmer. I love that class, and the challenge. PvP will be fun.

I find the class very rewarding. Originally, she was actually a Mesmer/Warrior, and actually quite good, but Mesmer/ Necromancer was a perfect fit for me, so I switched Secondaries once she reached the Crystal Desert.

Well, here she is.....finally. I liked this 2nd shot so well, its now my desktop background (well, er, the picture minus the skills and other mini-screens messing up the beauty).

Notice the detail, even showing her footsteps a few seconds earlier :)

Guild Wars Preview DELAYED!!!!!Seffiroth

The start of the Nightfall World Preview Event will be delayed by a few hours. We’ve discovered a corruption in the archives, and we’re pulling a full backup, after which we will then examine the error, make a correction, and the event will be on its way. At this point, we anticipate that the event will not start before 5:00 a.m. PDT (Noon GMT). We will update as soon as we have further information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

to be honest, i find it quite disappointing that, even though both the exp. packs have gone far adding extra content to the game, Tyria, where "I" came from, is entirely neglected. i don't need new classes and armour, definitely no more than i need to know what's happened to my homeland and how'd the war against the charr turned out. when would they tie up all these loose knots?

after all, of all the places i've been to....i still love the pre searing Ascalon best.

Well have you tried expressing that to ArenaNet? There may be others that feel the same way. Me, I really looking forward to NightFall when I get home, hopefully by then all the bugs are worked out.

Paragon is pretty sweet yes. The hole throwing spear thing, is quite uniqe. Their armor is great too!

Though I kinda wish that there where more hairstyles/faces for deverish and paragon.
