in guildwars, the items you get are they tradable:idea:

yes they are. these include raw material, salvageable items, and less frequently, weapons ( also salvageable ). you can sell these to merchants or other players. however, DO NOT customize a weapon you're planning to sell: nobody else can use a customized weapon, therefore nobody would want to buy it.

just in case you don't know, GW doesn't drop armour like other rpgs do. the above-mentioned materials are needed to craft armour pieces, and the material hunting is definitely one of the most important elements ( and chores ) of the game.

In Factions, I cant get into the Eternal Grove Area (the gate is locked), I have beaten all 13 missions so what gives, anyone know. Thanks!

Have you completed the quest "Befrending the Kurziks" given by count Zu Heltzer? Once you have 10000 kurz faction he will give you another quest that leads to the eternal grove...hope this helps

I will buy it as soon as it's in stores here. I liked the preview btw, think the paragon is awesome. Although I will be playing Dark Messiah at that time. Well you can never have too many good games :)

Have you completed the quest "Befrending the Kurziks" given by count Zu Heltzer? Once you have 10000 kurz faction he will give you another quest that leads to the eternal grove...hope this helps

I have the Eternal Grove location on my map and I have completed that mission (with Masters rating, as I said in previous post, I am 13/13 Masters, and have "Protector of Cantha" title). But there is a path called Eternal Grove, that has a gate that is closed, so I can travel the path (it is not a mission location).

Anyone??

I'm not sure what you mean, Addict, there's the Eternal Grove outpost, and then there's the Eternal Grove mission area, which becomes explorable after you complete the mission. It's accessible from Vasburg Armory. Is that the gate you're talking about ? Where is the path you're talking about ?

Sorry about that...i must have read your post in a hurry :) it could be that the locked gate you refer to is where you can enter The Eternal Grove mission hub from the outside in Eternal Grove Explorable.

BINGO! That one! And like I said I have completed all 13 missions with Masters rating, so I'm not sure what I am missing. Thanks for any help.

OK I did play the NightFall Preview event and it was fun, but I was also helping out people in Factions and doing FOW, so I didn't get to play it as much as I wanted. I heard that there are ways to run multiple builds with the Nightfall on the fly...

Is this true???

Well, first of all, you can change your secondary profession (and that of your heroes) in any outpost, by using a little dropdown list. Secondly, it's free, even if you haven't had that secondary before. You can even remove your secondary and become a "pure" character again (this is handy if you're playing a pure build anyway and don't want a too long skill list).

The retail version will have a template save feature for build attributes/skills, but that wasn't in the preview.

You know what, you're probably right about the secondary profession thing. I wrote my post when the preview event was over so I couldn't check. Anyway , the heroes' secondaries could definitely be changed to whatever you like. About your own character, I'm not sure. What you said is all correct. Just so theres no controversy. I agree with you. YOUR character can only change their 2nd profession to one that they've previously been as that character. Heroes armor doesn't change, just upgrades (presumably AL) when the hero levels up.

What should I do with white items? They're not good enough to use or sell, so do i salvage them (what kit?) or just sell them to a merchant?siskokidd

To each their own I guess. I love the new Hero system. It is going to add alot of strategy to the game and I welcome it with open arms. Besides, if you don't like the Hero system, it's as simple as just don'r use them as you play. Me, I personnally prefer to have more control over the henchies and the Heros system answered my prayers. Now when I have henchies, I can still pull by telling my Heros to stay back as I pull instead of having the idiots run in and screw everything up.l-_-l

I cant stand stupid henchman, I cant wait to control some heroes!!

When I get Factions or Nightfall, do I get 4 more character slots? siskokidd

for my oppinnion, if you'r getting factions and the prophecies just for the character slots just buy nightfall and then buy 3 character slots from the NCsoft store (9.99$ each I think).3abden

Or you can try and score the NightFall version with Bonus Pack included ($9.99).

BTW I got lucky and Pre-Ordered Nightfall with the Bonus pack (get free slot and other stuff) included free. So $43.29 shipped. :)

I would say decent, sometimes dumb. But good player is always better than henchman, not too mention better drops! :)

this new guildwars thread is so cool. ive been playing guild wars over a year now. guildwars nightfall gonna be a big sell for Ncsoft website. am hoping its gonna sell more than guildwars factions i cant wait.steveosandwich

I already pre-ordered my copy with bonus pack! Can't wait. Right now playing FOW and UW and still enjoying the game. Played with Ranger, Assassin, and just started a Warrior.
