Dude, you're assuming that i'm trying to piss you off. All i'm trying to say was that not all people who think Crysis is overrated are bashing it blindly. Totally not true. And i did enjoy the first half of Crysis anyway. But it's still overrated IMO.

My feelings with Blizzard games are more like "I can't stop playing this!"

I don't get that feeling as strongly from any other developer.

Guild Wars. I will never know what so many people saw in that game. Poor AI, an online community full of perverts, a generic story, and most of all, it was too hard to get a party together unless you knew someone IRL who played the game. It was beautiful and the combat was innovative, but a 9.2? Nah.

Oblivion was disappointing, but it really was a great game.

And I will never know why so many people loved World of Warcraft. I downloaded the trial and didn't get into it. It was kind of... lame.

Call of Duty 4 thats for sure ....the story was nice but what in the world ......... the gameplay was the same as CoD2 only with a new theme & excuse me you steal all the multiplayer modes from VALVe's multiplayer games & Unreal's ... & you just add perks which is nice but it is not the CREAM of CREAMS that lubricates & revolutionise the FPS genre !

& Speaking about the next 2 overrated games those will be STARCRAFT 2 & DIABLO III ....BLIZZARD is stuck somewhere betweenn 1995-1998 ...they look & feel like exapnsions in 3D & whtats with all that colour WoW is infecting their artworking StarCraft II's color is quite OK only 25% more clorfull than SC1 ...but DIABLO 3 is 100% different from the art ****of DIABLO 2 wich was dark medieval like .... no alll WOW color / PIXAR movie inspored .... I was surprised & i said to my self if they didn't told me that was Diablo 3 .... i whouldn't recongnized it !

Good thing you played them and you know exactly what you are talking about ;). Vids=/=final game, not even the game, it's only a preview and Blizz will change a lot before they release them. Even so for me they look perfect, you either have nothing to talk about and you hate them for their popularity or you just hate Blizzard.

Sure, I'll oblige and, no, I'm not a console gamer although I'm not fervently anti-console like some PC gamers. At any rate, five games (or series) that I like (a lot):

1. Fallout (1&2)

2. Planescape Torment

3. Wizardry 8

4. Arcanum

5. Baldur's Gate (1&2)

There are more (of course) but you only asked for five. I'm not exactly sure how not liking Blizzard games would make you think I'm a console game though. If anything, I think Blizzard makes games that are overly-simplified, mind-numbing, and, more so than anything on my list, console gamer friendly. Blizzard has probably done more than any other company (except perhaps Bethesda) to dumb down PC gaming.

Thanks :). Well except Fallout those are one of my favorite games too. I didn't want to make the wrong impression of you ;) I thought you just hated most PC games.

Anyway that's your oppinion on Blizzard, but how they make their games console gamer friendly, I don't know, as I see it, how they designed Diablo (not only 3, all of them) it's next to impossible to port in on consoles, and if console gamers play on PC most of them wouldn't like it because it's played mostly with the mouse and some console gamers don't go well with a mouse.

Blizz's games were never meant to be complex, although WoW is pretty complex if you really know what you are doing and you try different combinations and stuff, it's more than WASD, mouse, 1,2,3....., some other shortcut keys (but I don't really like WoW), Blizz'z games are more about fun.

I absolutely love this game, but Jesus Christ, I can't stand how people talk about it. It's as if when anyone mentions this game, gamers have a collective circle-jerk about it. What really bothers me is that it has become hip to like this game, and not many people raved about it when it came out. I guess that the psuedo-fans of this game have over hyped it ten years after its release and now any mention of this title just makes me angry. The game doesn't suck, but in the last few years (especially since the first mention of Bioshock) more and more people have ruined the memory of this game by worshipping it so much.

Plain and simple this game would've been great 10 YEARS AGO.
1) Crappy story - so there's an island that has findings of alien tech and its let loose, and you have to destroy the island... wow, how original. Is like playing Doom.
2) Crappy gameplay - so you have a suit which you can set to run faster, give more strenght, jump higher, become cloaked, and more armor... right, like in the middle of a firefight I'm going to be looking at my keyboard, having to search for the keys to access those features. Why not have strenght, armor, and speed all in default? And just have cloak seperately?
3) Crappy suit - All those features in the suit, specially the only thing this game has going for it IS THE CLOAK, and it all lasts but 2-5 SECONDS!! WTF? Useless suit.
4) Crappy specs - I can run CoD4 all on high, I can run Gears of War all on high, I can run Bioshock all on high, but I cannot run Crysis past medium. Even when it is on medium, it fills up with characters, it slows down to a halt!! Waaaaay too much specs config.

The only thing this game has going for it, is the soundtrack, nice music. Other than that, there's is NOTHING revolutionary about this game, it is WAAAAYYY overhyped.

the story was pretty bad but it wasn't like some shooters where the missions are super short, it did at least flow through nicely

you have to replay it to enjoy it properly, you'll find new ways of doing things and the suit features areeisily acsessable with the middle mouse wheel so you don't need to press a key and if you have set a key for it you shouldn't need to look you should be able to hit the right key from memory

the cloak had perfect timing any more aand i could play the whole game without killing a single korean, you're only supposed to use it when you get close to enamies or moving between cover not all the time, use prone and crouch to sneak through bushes and such or if the enamiy's at a distance

Yes the specs are high but it's not supposed to be run at full at the moment, when it says medium it means "for middle of the range gaming PCs", the very high is for future PCs like the new Nvidia 280s and the new set of quad cores comming out

Anyway, bioshock was a bit overhyped but i don't think it's the most over hyped, Assasain's Creed was pretty bad, so repetitive. I'll go with guild wars, i really didn't like it and some people really adore it.

Halo 1 was good, i thought it was terrible, even C&C Renegade beats it, i would have put this if i thought we were including console games, never really got any hype for PC.

Sims is not overrated because nobody expects anything from it and nobody really talks about it + it's didn't receive some top scores from reviewers, it's just something that most of us buy (yeah I have it tooand so do another 99+ million people)and we don't really talk about it, because there is nothing to talk about, it's just a casual fun game that let's you bild a house and take care of a family, just like a pet except the emotional part.

Well the first game got a 9+ rating and the second a 8.9....and 99+ million sales seem to point out that it IS overrated..

Well the first one really was good and the 99+ miilion sales show that people just want to have fun and relax at the same time. What if a game has huge sales, it means it's overrated? Crysis had let's say, crap sales and it's the most overrated game in the past 4 years IMO. Huge sales=/=overrated, huge sales=something, somewhere in that game makes a lot of people like it and feel good playing it. Nobody makes you buy 100x expansions, if you buy them it means you want diversity and that you really enjoy the game and you want more possibilities.

Anyway if you think it's overrated so be it, but Sims is not overrated at all IMO and Sims 2 is underrated.

Well I for one buy a game if I like it ie I rate it high...

I'm not saying I LIKE it, but it is fun for a while. About it beeing bad I don't know, what's so bad about it? it's a sim what can be better in a social sim? gore, koreans, aliens, cars,vietnamese, story. weapons, new maps?

I hope Sims 3 will be released soon, it can be fun :) but only fun and creative, because sims aren't made for the same reasons as RTS, FPS, RPG, Adventure, etc

This is in no sort of way a bad game. CoD4 is a bloody brilliant game, its one of my favorite FPS's of all times. But in my opinion, it does not deserve a GOTY award, mainly because it failed at introducing any new mechanics. The game's singleplayer mode is heavily scripted which gives a melodramatic experience that can be awesome at times, but forces the campaign to be really short and linear, just like all the other Call of Duties. Multiplayer is solid but it isn't anything out of this world, really its just a great FPS, but it's given a god-like status among FPS games that I don't think it should have.

If you are talking about me, I feel that I should let you know that I recently made an account on Xfire, just watch the join date. I played it and I own it if you feel that you have to know. All I found valuable in that "package" was the sandbox editor. Next time don't assume that much ;)

Well...the primary reason for playing games (for me atleast) is to escape reality...whether that is being a soldier or a theoretical physicist...now if I have to do the same boring things that I do everyday in my life, that somehow doesn't sound like much fun to me

why i use an M16.. burst fire so you cant spray and pray.. I miss the old CoD2 days were it actually took skill to get a kill, not just hide in a building and plant a few claymores in the entrences.

the game is crappy dude bad design about cod4 i think its better than cod2 maybe cod2 has more quality but i HATE how the screen jumps while getting shoted, apart form that its misions and missions no story like moh series so i guesss cod4> cod2

Well i don't remember 100 mill either but it was pretty close. This is exactly why i hate The Sims. It always brings out arguments wherever it's mentioned. A boring family game for people with too much time on their hands, no? UH OH.....i think i can hear the angry mob now.:P

Anyway, if there was actually an expansion like "We Dealin' Now" i might consider playing it again.
