That's not balance, it'd be balance if there was a slight delay before being able to fire my weapon or something like that; filling the screen with an annoying effect is like being slapped in the face with a bunch of ****s. It serves no purpose and it's just annoying.[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]
Thats called balance...even I figured that out when I first cloaked and shot my gun. The game is suppose to flashbang your screen if you shoot while cloaked.

It serves to annoy you and balence the game by not letting you see.

How could my computer be infect before that? The file Malware caught was a Crysis 2 file.[QUOTE="Elann2008"][QUOTE="PernicioEnigma"] That's interesting, it installed fine for me. I'm doing a full system scan now just in case, but right now I think it's more likely your computer was already infected.PernicioEnigma
Oh I see, my bad.
I wasn't mad at your response, but you did get me even more worried about my PC! :P loldid you create your account via the website before launching the game? I had the same problem and had to create a new account through the actual game interface.[QUOTE="PernicioEnigma"][QUOTE="Ikuto_Tsukiyomi"]
/headdesk. Why is Crysis 2 telling me my name is Invaild and cant contain any "%^&*#" Symbols when its all letters? :|
Ikuto_Tsukiyomi
I've been trying to create an account though the game but since i had a previous one I thought that would work, But all it does is hang on the "Creating account" screen. I guess I'll just leave it on the screen and minimize it as it tries to make the account.
Nope. I closed it after about 5 minutes of trying to log in, went to Crysis Wars, logged in w/ the info, and then closed Crysis Wars and tried the Crysis 2 demo again. It worked but it was most likely timing.[QUOTE="DigitalExile"]
It's tough to say "That's okay" if you haven't played it (I haven't and i certainly wouldn't say it's okay at all).
KillerJuan77
I did play all those games, check my backlog. I only played the Arma II and OA demo's though.
I wasn't talking about YOU I meant "you" as in people in general, specifically those complaining about the bloom and stuff. You're expecting them to have an opinion on other games they might not have played and that makes no sense. they're judging this game for what it is - which is very bright. So what if other games may have the same issue? We're not discussing those. If you're thinking of getting Crysis 2 just for it's multi-player, here's a tip - Stay with Crysis Wars.
The style and all is fine but judging from the Crysis 2 MP demo, it's been dumbed down to a CoD-copy for sure, only that you have a nanosuit but even that is a little disappointing.Depends on your style of game.

Sorry if someone already mentioned...but Im able to look passed the "push start button" etc....but I just saw in game options that "Aim Assist" is default "on"......now THAT is almost crossing the border for me. Havent actually played yet, just messing in options before starting...but that kinda hurt to see.
Oh, addition, someone mentioned earlier you cant talk to teammates, you can, they have an in-game voip, but gotta turn it on. Alt is the button to push to talk.

Wait, there is aim assist in the PC version....wtf?
Yep, it has it...If a game has aim assistance, I would notice it. I never feel like my game is locking on to other players. Aim assistance would feel unnatural on the PC.

I am having the same issues... even tried to make an account through the mycrysis thing and still no luck. If the 'service' is this terrible, ass-backwards and dis-intergrated, I might just cancel my pre-order. The downsides of PC Gaming...

The performance is actually good but I noticed that there's no AA in the pre-defined graphics settings.
The one concern I have for this game is it's multi-player modes. So far, Crash Site and Team Instant Action are basically Headquarters and TDM. Hopefully this game doesn't follow the same direction as Medal of Honor.

Yea, I mentioned the Aim Assist earlier. Truthfully Im with Jango in the sense that I didn't "feel" it. Wonder if its just another pullover from console version? If so what console player would turn auto-aim off? Do you know how hard it is to kill a teammate in Halo without the auto-aim? (Happens whenever you get the same map 10 times in a row and wanna be kicked) Just give up trying too! Also, Im big on mouse sensitivity, interested to see that you like it pretty high, think mine is on 7/100 right now and Im still tempted to make it lower...
Honestly, I had ZERO problems logging in the game. I simply created account, type crap, logged in and is fine.

Truthfully Im turning into a fan of it. Only played for about 50 mins or so though, so it still has the "fresh game" smell. Can picture myself playing it for a few weeks, which coupled with SP is all I ask for.
Only thing that bugs me is how consoled down the nanosuit is...considering I just re-played Crysis about 3 days ago while getting psyched for this. Don't think I like it wasting my energy every blessed time I jump or run...or just having armor mode on draining it...Just gotta get used to it I spose. Excited to see some different maps. Would also love if they did implement more people, even 16v16 on some bigger maps and I would squeal.

I don't see your point at all. Especially considering that the menus and gameplay feel just fine.

Its refering to how half assed the demo is. That they pretty much just took the 360 verision and threw it on the pc.
So when Dragon Age 2 says "press any key" that means its a 360 port I'm guessing?
i think the point is about "press [start]" but the pc doesnt have a [start] button. unless your on a controller.

killing your teammate in halo without aim assist is very easy ive been playing shooters on consoles since like alien vs predator and doom and wolfenstein on atari jaguar lol. i remember i shot my teammate then started to fight back lol, i took him out so easily lmao. most people i guess didnt really grow up playing shooters on consoles. I truly wish console game's didnt have aim assist i turn it off when possible.I think the aim assist setting only applies if you are using a gamepad. I didn't notice any aim assist when playing with M+K.

omg...mycrysis is the slowest thing i have ever seen...its almost faster than dial up was nearly a decade ago...i wonder if i will ever be able to play this demo...it took me about 10 tries for me to actually see the registration screen without it timingout...then ive been sitting here for about 5 minutes while it "creates my profile"
I don't mind it, gameplay wise they moved from battlefield type stuff in Crysis to call of duty in the sequel. I don't mind either but I think Crysis 2 has the better multiplayer from a few rounds compared to the original. It's still rough around the edges with some bad ragdolls that clip through objects and I think perhaps health should be a bit higher for players.
I don't really think the Aim Assist did anything, I tried it first off and then again on and there was no noticeable cursor move or lock on. Which either tells me that it's doing some spread calculations from your shots (which would be silly) or it's a feature for the single player portion left in the demo.
Really disappointed you can't change the options a bit more. The game looks pretty good but the obsessive blur on sunlight is kinda annoying for me. I hope you can really tweak the game when it comes out, change LOD and FOV.
Having to manage your energy consumption is done much better here too. Using armor, running and cloak seems fairly well balanced. I did land on top of a guy with the stomp (replay showed it) and he didn't even die, I guess upgrades will make that more powerful but seems kinda weak compared to the video with 3 people dying from it.
Skyline seemed pretty fun; most of the action was up top though. Only crash site brought a few people inside. Pier was better than I was expecting based on feedback, looks pretty good with lots of boats around. There was something really fun about jumping in the water, going into cloak and then coming up behind a sniper in a building. It's reasonably large with a fair bit of detail in the buildings and boats.
Overall it's not bad, I'll play it some more and see how it goes. There were a lot of servers available when I played, 1200+ for a demo is really high.
