Where's the confirmation link?

Here buddy! World's first Crysis 2 benchmarks! Notice how they imply that not having options is actually better :/
That's not really full confirmation...
dont you know baranga is one of the usual suspects of negativity? The crysis 2 demo is actually good, not like anyone liked the multiplayer from crysis. What negativity? I'm the one that likes Dragon Age 2 and defended Crysis 2 to death around here. I'm pretty sure Nvidia's benchmarks are a good confirmation that there are no settings in the full game... Not that I care, I was tinkering with the cfgs in the first one anyway.
I envy you that you're able to enjoy this game:( I gave it a fair try, all my patience and attention - and it simply feels wrong when playing.

The crysis 2 demo is actually good, not like anyone liked the multiplayer from crysis.I'm not mad about the gameplay, infact I think it was a step up from Crysis 1's mulitplayer which was unplayable most of the time. I'm mad about how stripped down the game is. No settings, no DX11... wtf.

Well Nvidia's are not a good confimation because they are writing to a far more general audience than some place like tom's hardware. So they will probably stick to the predefined settings.
That said, I know Nvidia has been working with them on this game so maybe they are just focusing on the predefined settings and not doing anything else.
I guess we'll only know once the game is released. Either way, they aren't getting my money if I can't do anything with the game.
ya, I dont think the mutiplayer will last long. I like it and all, but I just want the single player. I get the feeling that its going to flop horribly on console, despite cryteks best efforts the hype level amongst console gamers just isnt that high. What negativity? Really should have given a SP demo. Have had the game downloaded a few hours now but can't login, can't create accounts to play.
I reread that geforce thing. Yup, we get 3 settings.
No sight of DX11 support either!
What a step backwards.

Oh that's good. Now watch it kill my framerate and I can't stop it!
I was kind of half expecting the game not to turn out great but still be within the reach of the original but the impressions you guys are giving so far it seems its a whole lot worse. I was thinking when they were previewing the game months ago and said the nanosuit powers are being blended together sounds like a good idea to myself but now I'm reading the nanosuits been gimped.

If they are encyrpting the config files, we can assume no editor is coming.

Nor can we disable their horrid AA or change massively-screwed FOV. **** this game. The console versions aren't even good. It feels wrong on all platforms.
if you dont like it on pc, there is now way you would like it on console. Only exception is if the pc version was completely borked, but its not.I would check it out for yourself and decide, there's a lot of folks unhappy with the changes Crytek made and they are going to scream the loudest.I was kind of half expecting the game not to turn out great but still be within the reach of the original but the impressions you guys are giving so far it seems its a whole lot worse. Well it all sounds great on paper and in videos, but playing it is a different thing...
Regarding MP, this is Haze all over again. Amazing ideas with a really bad execution. I mean, the upgrade system, the map layouts and visual design are superb. Even the killstreaks are somewhat balanced by having to pick up the dog tags. But it *feels* wrong to me when playing.
having free radical do the multiplayer makes me feel like it was an afterthought. EA probably demanded multiplayer.

Wow there are still issues creating an account and logging in with current account? I couldn't login with my account that was already setup up so I created a new one and it went through. Mind you, last night, I couldn't do either. Have you tried creating an entirely new account? Don't create the new account at mycrysis.com. Create an account at the game start up menu and it should take you right. Disregard if you tried this already.after 1h trying i finaly registered acount!
now 10hours of trying to log in no luck!:)

Yeah that was kinda the plan even when it was leaked I said I'm gonna wait until I get to actually try it out except now I can't even play the demo, will have to wait a bit longer.
Baranga - Is that feeling that some of all this just doesn't fit Crysis, I feel I can understand that partially from the concerns I had, what I have seen & the opinions I'm getting but of course I still haven't been able to play it.

It fits Crysis. The multiplayer tries to be something like the graveyard battle against Koreans with nanosuits...
I keep thinking about this Nanosuit 2.0 and it just doesn't make any sense to me. In armor mode the energy levels keep dropping. You're moving extremely slow, but sprinting (which is still slow using armor!) makes energy drop even faster. Not to mention that it's almost useless, you take about 3 bullets without armor and 5 with armor. And headshots are always deadly.
So you want to use the default mode all the time, because you don't lose energy... except when you're sprinting or jumping.
Switching modes takes a fraction of a second. If an enemy starts shooting, you're dead. There's no time to switch to armor and kill him. This is one of those games where whoever reacts first wins.
If you're using armor most of the time, you have to constantly stop and recharge. Otherwise you're dead when you meet an enemy - you don't have enough armor.
There are only two viable strategies: camp like a boss or hope to find an enemy that's not facing you. You WILL kill him.
Did any of you noticed that even the biggest fans of Crysis are nowhere to be found today? No adulating topics no nothing...in this thread over 80% of the post are negative towards Crysis 2 in one way or another...
Where are those guys who verbally ambushed me a couple of weeks ago when i said that the Multiplayer in Crysis 2 will be generic console multiplayer fps???
A couple of weeks ago i said in a topic that Crysis will be nothing more than a generic average console fps...the GS moderator who says the same things in this topic today, deleted my post back then...with the reason :"bla, bla trolling bla, bla" Why dosent he delete his own posts, since his repeating the same things ived said?
How can all of you hoped that Crysis 2 would be something better than the first one since this game was created for the console as main target? How can anyone be fooled by someone so badly?Dont you guys have your own judgement?Cant you guys predict the obvious when all the facts and clues are on the table? You guys need a demo to confirm that this game will be a average console port? Why do you guys act like sheeps and follow/trust every EA/Crytek P.R. bullcrap?
I knew from day one...since Crytek announced that Crysis 2 will be multiplat...that this game will be average...and will not dethrone the original Crysis or even come close to it!I didnt need to wait some years for Crytek to put out a demo so i can be 100% sure that this game will be average at best...as i said before i knew it from day one...iam surprised how come u guys didnt :(
As I play more, the only thing you basically do is run and gun (and air stomp if you have the chance). This is what you get when you have a company saying it's not a console or pc port but it really is a console port. The good side about it though is that it looks good (only exception is the lack of AA support) and performs good.
However, if the multi-player is going to be like this in the final release, then damn. No power struggle is a big nay for me. It was my favourite game mode in Crysis Wars because it was the best game mode that was able to mimic Battlefield than any otehr games/game modes. Goodbye big maps with VTOLs and tanks :(.
The single-player might be nice but everyone needs to know what their $60 will justify for. Like I said earlier, Crysis 2 may end up on the same road as Medal of Honor.
Well I always had that feeling it wouldn't be as good as the first for obvious reasons :P but I was also willing to always give it a chance at it being fairly good until we got to play it that doesn't seem to be either which is a shame.
DX11 to be patched after release(use google to translate it).
Wanted it on day one.:P
mitu123
So the game isn't even go to ship with dx11, thats just says lazy console port.
Crysis 2 is now unistalled from my pc. The demo is just crap.
It will probley end up with the same fate of moh, its not horrible, but its not good.
You guys are making this game out to be much worse than it actually is. I found the game to be very fun.
Firstly alot of you compare it to CoD. I see the resemblance but I believe the suit gives the game a fresh feel that gives me more options in combat than CoD has. Cloaking to be stealthy is fun and throwing on my armor in a firefight is awesome.
Secondly the game looks great. It does not look better than Crysis 1, but it is one of the better looking games on the PC. It also is optimized well, allowing many people to run it.
As for those who say its consolized, it is in a few ways. I do see the low rez textures and the crappy FOV, BUT the game feels right on the PC and does not feel like a port. For those of you whining over the "press start" at the beginning...really? You do realize that by clicking it, you are technically pressing start.
The game has also been confirmed to come with an editor, as many of you are saying that it will not.
Another complaint I see here is about the 3 graphics settings. Even after reading the Nvidia article, it is still un-clear as to whether or not there will be additional settings in the full game.
I really like the game, and it is fun to play. I just think that many PC gamers wanted this to be just like Crysis 1, but it was announced it wouldnt be that way from the beginning, why the surprise? Plus you guys treat Crysis like it had some kind of amazing multiplayer. It really didnt.
EDIT*Also for those of you who wanted to know, there will be a higher player count and matchmaking in the full game, this was announced a long time ago.

I can actually wholeheartedly agree with this, I think the hate is just a little bit too high. I can see where much of it is coming from, but a lot of it is ridiculous. I also see the CoD resemblance but it still has enough Crysis added to it to make it feel a little fresh. Also I believe Baranga was making the same complaints I was earlier about nanosuit 2.0 does feel inferior to the first in that to do ANYTHING costs valuable energy. At first this really bugged me but with more playing I see some balance...It almost feels like you have to forget Crysis 1 completely and just take this for what it is, managing energy isnt that bad, moving regular for about 2-3 seconds and you are back at full.
Lastly, I had heard that this was mainly always going to be 6v6, but you saying it'll have more player count will have me partially excited all over again! I think this would be a lot more impressive on a bigger scale.....if so they really should've done a 6v6 and a larger XvX on the demo for impressions.

Many previews and interviews said that the PC version will have a higher player count, an article on IGN from January states "while precise PC player counts are still being finalized, I was able to cajole the word "more" out of Crysis 2's producer".
Im happy to see there are other people that can accept this game for what it is rather than harping on what it doesnt have in common with crysis 1. I loved Crysis and Crysis Warhead. Do I like all of the changes? No, I do not. Is it a terrible game? Not at all.

I wonder if you could be able in the full Crysis 2,to connect directly to a server using only the IP of that server...if not...is p2p enchanced :P
Hmm. I really, really, really really hope this is not in any way representative of the SP. I truly despise the new nanosuit. You have absolutely no control over it, it just drains drains drains, the only viable mode is the default mode!! Man, I hope Crytek see how disappointed their fans are at this, it's a shocker, and I really believe this is because it's gone multiplat. Gutted.
Just like to add, I was one of the few people who actually really liked Crysis Wars. Something has gone drastically wrong!! It's just reaction based, I know I will probably be picked up on this but Crysis Wars felt solid. I liked the fact there were no cIasses, you picked up weps ingame, I loved the large maps and the vehicles, didn't feel unbalanced because everyone was at the same place. No cIass system, no levelling, just some good old fashioned MP fun.

How do you guys think this is "fresh"? The only thing that differentiates Crysis 2's MP from COD's MP is the two suit powers which at this point honestly feel like gimmicks, especially when you consider that the only useful one is invisibility. Everything else is IDENTICAL to COD. Three killstreaks that you get to use at 3, 5, and 7 kills. Four preset classes plus custom classes for which you can pick three perks, plus weapons. Tiny maps with tiny teamsizes. No vehicles. Oh yeah, and it's all set in a city (LOL URBAN WARFARE). They should have just called this game "Crysis of Duty: Urban Warfare" since that's obviously what they were going for. Also the graphics are hardly among the best looking on PC. And then we've got upcoming games like Battlefield 3 and Rage which already look better.I was going to legitimately respond to you, but you just said that Mirrors Edge looks better than Crysis 2. Get your eyes checked.
The two suit powers are not made to be left on, they are to be activated as needed. If you are moving in to a large gun fight, throw your shields up. If you see an enemy and want to stealthy take him out go cloak. Yes the killstreaks are a copy of cod. Perks have become a standard for FPS games and if they were not in the game, people would whine. The perks are very different from the CoD ones though. no vehicles because they decided to focus on infantry combat. Metro 2033 looks better in some areas, but character models, lighting, and first person gun detail are supurior in Crysis 2. Metro 2033 has some interesting enviroments, but it also doesnt run half as well as Crysis 2. Crysis 1 is the only game I can think of that looks legitimately better than Crysis 2.
Also as for the gunplay feeling like CoD, it doesnt. It feels more like BC2 than CoD because it is more weighty than CoD.
