Quick question, if Nvidia had to do a little release to enable a fix for SLi, how's the CrossFireX support? Anyone had the chance to test? *seeing as the bloody mycrysis site is going through timeout after timeout, I've been unable to check myself :(Hi for anyone that interested i edited the latest Nvidia Sli profile, i have put it on the nvidia forum,

It appears the 3 settings in the demo will be in the full game from geforce.com
Unlike the first game, Crysis 2 doesn't have any graphical sliders or checkboxes to enable. Instead, there are three preset modes: Gamer, Advanced, and Hardcore. Gamer is the lowest setting, Advanced is in the medium setting, and Hardcore is the highest.

I guess there is one simple thing in the demo which perfectly sums up the PC-Version of the Game:
"Press Start to Begin"
Good night.KHAndAnime
I don't see your point at all. Especially considering that the menus and gameplay feel just fine.
Are you really okay with all of the graphics being tied to a single setting? Even in a promotional demo, it's extremely annoying. They act as if fans of their games aren't graphics enthusiasts or something. Are they even acknowledging us as an audience?I'd rather have something than nothing. Anyway, isn't a demo supposed to give you taste for the gameplay? If you like the gameplay, what, you're not going to buy it because there's no graphical options in demo?
Well this game is obvioulsy consolized. Bad textures, blurry graphics, too much bloom. Bad POV. Sloppy aiming/mouse lag/input delay. clunky movement. preset graphic options. Consolized COD gameplay. Unoriginal and not even as good as COD. Sort of reminds me of Deus Ex:IW when that first came out. Crytek couldn't dissapoint anymore if they tried.

The day one patch should add DX11, SSAO and other stuff.
For a while I thought that maybe they locked the settings for multiplayer, so that other player wouldn't get an advantage by turning off foliage or some ***. But now I see they went full r-word.
Can someone explain what's the logic behind punishing me for moving? The nanosuit is a disaster, if anything the one in the first game felt more advanced! Are they going to make aiming drain energy too?!
Also they totally went overboard with post-processing, I can't see **** most of the time. Temporal AA is terrible, it's a vaseline filter that also produces ghosting. The bloom is blinding... And they encripted the .cfg files!
At least it's bloody amazing in 3D, I'll give it that. Oh and these environments look much better than the similar ones from Crysis, too bad the post-processing makes it hard to see them lol
I pre-ordered it too, and even though I'm hoping that there'll be more to multiplayer I got it mainly for single player anyway.[QUOTE="Elann2008"]Maybe it's a good thing that I'm having log in issues on my end. I don't want to be even the least disappointed. I already pre-ordered the game weeks ago and I'll proceed with it.DigitalExile
I had fun too, but I don't see the multiplayer lasting for long. Aside from being a CoD clone CoD itself was never terribly interesting to me. Running around in circles with not an ounce of team work? meh. There wasn't an ounce of team work because of the TEAM. The variety of modes offered plenty of opportunities for team work.Truthfully Im turning into a fan of it. Only played for about 50 mins or so though, so it still has the "fresh game" smell. Can picture myself playing it for a few weeks, which coupled with SP is all I ask for.
Only thing that bugs me is how consoled down the nanosuit is...considering I just re-played Crysis about 3 days ago while getting psyched for this. Don't think I like it wasting my energy every blessed time I jump or run...or just having armor mode on draining it...Just gotta get used to it I spose. Excited to see some different maps. Would also love if they did implement more people, even 16v16 on some bigger maps and I would squeal.

Here is a video i uploaded of crysis 2 in QUAD HD its on gamer settings which my 5770 1G handles at 1600x900 at around 60fps which is the most important thing for mp.

There's more to a game than just gameplay, and the demo should be indicative of what to expect. They can't release a demo (which hardly works by the way) with just the bare minimum and think they're promoting the game. If anything they're just pissing people off and losing pre-orders.[QUOTE="James161324"]

No why they encrytped the cfg files the bastards does this mean no super awesome custom configs that improve visuals and performance by taking out all the **** that makes the game look bad and/or drain performance for no reason :(
I can't install the demo. Just finished downloading it and trying to run the file gives me the message "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running blah blah blah". I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64-bit. Any help?
amit_89
Strange. I'm on Windows 7 x64 as well and it works fine.
You could try running as an administrator or running in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or XP. Failing that, the download could be corrupted and you might have to download again.

Just tried it. Doesn't work. For what it's worth, I've updated to SP1. Maybe that's what's causing the conflict? Will there be a steam version? My net speed is terrible and I'd rather download it via Steam now.
Edit: Nevermind, I just found the demo on Steam. Thanks for your help and time.
Meh, I'm pretty sure I've played this MP version in the past 3 CoD games. Small maps with nooks and crannies where a player can embed themselves until the next fragtastic player takes my spot. I'm only interested in the SP, so this demo didn't do anything to sell me.

Yeah, I'm not expecting to be blown away by a revolutionary multiplayer experience either. The only reason I'n trying it out is to see how my rig runs it.
So what is up with the gamer, advanced, and so on settings? What is the best and worst? Also the demo is in DX9? Didnt they say it would be DX11? And they need to trash the aim assist and mouse acceleration.

It is a really poor demo. I can't even log in, but my buddy can, and the games controls have assist and acceleration. The graphic settins are gamer, advanced, and so on...wtf is that? I have high hopes for the game and the MP seems fun, so I hope this is resolved soon.

Assist, I believe was added for folks with gamepads, doesn't effect mouse and keyboard. Not sure why you guys can't log-in. I had no problems.[QUOTE="Mystic-G"]

Multiplayer in Crysis 1 wasn't anything to write home about, and this isn't either. But at least you could play Crysis 1 multiplayer somewhat like it was Crysis. This....this isn't like Crysis. God, when will developers quit trying to make every FPS multiplayer mode like COD?

If this is true, I really don't think I will bother, no matter how great the campaign may be. Not that I'm overly concerned with graphics, but this is just plain ridiculous. Three settings is not adiquate; there are more than three different kinds of PCs in this world, Crytek.

If that's true I will not be buying this game, ever. The graphics in the multiplayer demo are terrible by PC standards. Low res textures, tons of jaggies, and no dynamic physics to be seen anywhere. This game is so consolized it's offensive. It's obvious Crysis 2 has been developed primarily with the X360 and PS3 in mind, with the PC version as an afterthought. While I could run through all the gameplay mechanics and engine features (or rather lack thereof) that give this away, I think all that needs to be said is "Press Start to Continue".This is a demo. Im sure the final product will have all the advanced graphical tweaks you could wish for.bonafidetk
It was confirmed that it won't.
After this terrible demo I tried the leaked beta. And hated it. The new nanosuit ruins the game, but frankly the gunplay and level layout just don't feel right. It's a disaster.
Pre-order cancelled. Thanks for the demo, it saved me 27 pounds!

Yeah it doesn't even run in dx11. Its still locked to Dx9
The game is in a poor state.
I really can't even begin to express my discontent with this demo. They took the game I've played the most these years, a game that I really loved, and they have destroyed it. The sad thing is that it was more enjoyable to play on my Xbox than in my PC, they have brought it down to a bare-bones level so that it could be played well in my console but in the process they have let the PC version die. I'm not supporting Crytek anymore.

What is the anti-cheat program called exactly? Gamespy Arcade or Gamespy Comrade? I'm not sure which to download. Thank you in advance!
