I got the same problem, they most likely won't fix. Best to just run it though speakers.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"] Can you run Crysis that well. I wish this stayed exclusive. When Crysis came out, it was mind blowing. Now not even the environments are destructible. Well man, that's your fault for believing it. I knew it was going to be held back, but so far the MP is fun and will last me until BF3. I played some SP from the beta and it was ok, but I only played like 10 minutes. I wasn't a big fan of the first Crysis, so I'm not as upset as some are.

They were destructible only on DX10 servers in Crysis. DX9 servers were static.
The destruction is in the beta. It looks awesome.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not, but whenever I'm cloaked and I shoot someone with the sniper, the hit never registers :(. Not sure if it is a bug or not.

Uhm. Who the hell are you quoting?
I believe Crysis only stated that the PC version would look better than consoles, and it does. They also stated that this will be a pc game, which it is. If feels fine.
Those who are yelling out "consolized" dont understand that its really just some of the textures + FOV that are changed for consoles. The game feels good on the PC and i couldnt picture playing it with a controller.
I don't really remember who I'm quoting. But there were rumours going around that Crytek doesn't want to show PC footage, because it would make console gamers jealous. Misleading marketing. I think it was a Crytek interview. And the whole, "It will be a true PC game" is an actual quote.http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22072
It's not.
And its true, Crysis 2 does look far better than the console version, that is not a lie.
Secondly "a true PC game" is an opinion, a matter of perspective.
When creating a multiplat game, you cannot make the versions too different. They carry the same name and should be the same game. They have given us better graphics, as most multiplat PC games do. They did a good job optimizing and made it feel right on the PC. In their opinion, it is a true PC game. I agree with them.
All of you just be glad that you could even play it:P I've been stuck at the login screen forever, will have to wait till tommorow now which will probably make me the last person left to try the demo at which rate everyone else will have gone because of their disappointment.
To answer one of the question, you will need to login to gamespy/incrysis account to play the MP on Steam as well. Anyway if this flops which looks like it may then I can easily see them blame piracy and the leak after all they were able to do that with Crysis1 which sold well early on despite the piracy numbers and when no could run it at full settings. They were even able to use a flimsy excuse that because the patches of Crysis1 downloads outnumbered the sales it proved all of the piracy.I don't really remember who I'm quoting. Well I don't. If the demo is anything to go by, it's a console game ported to PC cheaply. Unfitting FOV, No lean/prone, "press start", that kind of stuff. Very low graphical flexibility, only three settings. It is possible to add some PC specific features you know..Stuff that worked in Crysis. Wouldn't be that hard. See Origins, it's the same core game, but the PC version has more features that fit the platform. I expected this since Crysis is a PC franchise.[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"] Can you run Crysis that well. I wish this stayed exclusive. When Crysis came out, it was mind blowing. I remember stuff like "This will be a PC game, not a console game" or "We're not showing PC footage because it looks real" I actually believed that. Not buying. The giveaway for everyone should have been when Crytek refused to release any screenshots of the PC version even up until now. The only reason they would want to do that is if they knew PC gamers were going to be upset at what they saw. If the graphics for the PC version truly were amazing Crytek would have used them exclusively to promote the game since that makes PC gamers happy and will fool most console gamers who think that their systems will be able to pull off the same thing as the PC version. Put another way, no company tries to hype up their game by showing the game on the platform it runs worst on, they show it on the best possible settings and will even make up fake screenshots to make the game look better than it does on any system. Hell, Crytek is notorious for using fake screenshots to create hype. Remember the original Crysis? The pre-release screenshots looked incredible, whereas the game itself even when maxed out looked nowhere near as good. You really think a company like that would be against labeling maxed out PC screenshots as console screenshots?
I agree with GeneralShowzer on this one, but it's only a MP demo. Maybe they just ported from the XBOX demo to get it out for PC (things like PRESS START etc). Maybe, MAYBE... the final PC version will have graphic options and other stuff....?FelipeInsideThis MIGHT be it, who knows. I mean they weren't even going to give us a demo so hopefully they just threw it together.
I finally played it. It connected.
First of all i run it on hardcore with good framerate.
The game does not looks as good as crysis imo. It looks as good as the console footage i saw in youtube. SERIOUSLY. I dont know whats up with the engine but the screen reminds me more of forced blury-nes like some consoles game did, rather the crystal clear crysis graphics. The only reason you cant spot people cloaking is becasue its not sharp enough to spot the little edges. I am not saying its full of jagies, i am saying is blurry as hell.
The gunplay does not feel like crysis at all. It feels like your average cod ripoff with console/halo like FOV that feels like its zoomed in and your weapons are oversized and the sights aiming is too damn zoomed.
Hell, some people use the pistol without aiming because of the zoomed in sights.
There are alot of mechanics i dont get in the game, such as the grenades, the sniper rilfe zoom that demands that you press the meele button to zoom in and the suit modes are crap. The armor mode is running down without getting hit. WHAT THE HELL? I am not a starship in star trek, i want armor mode to be activated at all times without running down....also the nano-blur when you activate it, is terrible.
I wont even get to the fact that you cant sprint without wasting suit energy.
It feels like they did it to streamline the hud or something, like they couldnt add many scripts in the game.. in short it is an unnesasary crap design move and it reminds me of universal ammo in deus ex invisible war.
This is straight x360 console port. Thats all i got to say.
As for the game itself? Lets just say that you never know when someone will appear from nowhere and kill you, the gameplay does not feel like what the trailes promoted, instead of encouraging movement, it makes everyone camp 24/7 to restore power.
Also i noticed how no one uses sliding.

Found this, If someones interesting In attempting to remove Motion Blur.
+cl_fov=90 +r_DrawNearFoV = 90 +pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov = 90 +r_MotionBlur=0 +g_skipIntro=1
Try adding this to the game's shortcut, according to some people the launch options aren't disabled.

Armour/Shields use energy, so it's natural that it runs down (specially on a mobile device such as the nano suit)
I agree with your post though, the little I played I felt I was playing console instead of PC.

I just got done doing the FoV thing. I wouldn't recommend it as it does do that and it made me sick. Yea, I just upchucked :PWhat you mean budget cuts? Its like they changed completly the way it works. Instead of simply making the armor a little tougher. It now makes a shield on the player that runs down constantly.
Also would it hurt them to put this map in?
Also ps3 gameplay and it does not look a bit worse in my opinion. If this is the "the game will be the same in all platforms but pc will have better graphics"
I wonder how rage and skyrim will turn out since they say that they will look pretty much the same in all systems.

I'm enjoying quite a bit as well, very fun, I like the smaller maps, it keeps the action going. I like the ability to spot enemies with the binocs like in BC2. I like being able to jump up and down levels at a time. The cloak is fun as well but I think I actually like speed and jumping better. The unlocks are there but not as numerous as in CoD, it strikes the right amount of balance of reward. The graphics in my opinion are fantastic, I don't know what everyone is complaining about, more importantly my FPS stays steady in the low 40s most of the time. I wasn't really expecting much out of MP, I mainly pre-ordered for the SP, so this is definitely a nice bonus. I hope Crytek will have good support for it, hopefully some more maps and unlocks in the future.GooeykatWell I think the graphics are great as well, but I can understand why people are complaining about the limited number of options. Hopefully the final game will have more.
The demo was actually just as generic as MOH imho nothing really stood out as amazing. Really felt like COD mixed with halo reach, but somehow not as special as either.
Although the game ran great and smoothly. Also despite me having 200 ping, I did not notice any visual lag I am very impressed with that. I knew the multiplayer was going to be meh, getting crysis 2 for the story. Demo was a good benchmark though
This game is running horribly. I know I only have a GT220, but my monitor is 1440x900, and I can run Crysis and Warhead on a mix of medium-max settings and get 40+fps. I can't get more than 31 with gamer, even with overclocking my GPU. Is AA enabled no matter what? That killed my FPS in Crysis, and turning it off is what gave me great performance, and I think that's the case here.
