also i want to see the ps3 accept inputs from 5 sensory devices, sort every single one of those signals, ignore the repetitive ones that occur all the time, calculate a response, and sent it back to its peripherals, all in a matter of nanoseconds.

i rest my case the fastest supercomputer in the world can do 1 petaflops, looks like we lose. give it 5-10 years, and that will be the norm for computers, and we dont get to upgrade. it will happen

PS3 on the other hand is proven to do 1.8 billion calculations per second. lets assume it is a theoretical principal. that would give it a margin of error of, lets say 8-10%. thats still considerably faster than the ps3. maybe were not as fast as the supercomputers in the NASA center or the ones under the pentagon, but were sure as hell smarter than a ps3.
