its a lot easier than you think (if you are a high enough lvl, you should have no problem getting 5 stars, just focus on the Stagger meter)
*to answer juden's question*, it took me 45-50 hrs due to lvling up in Gran Pulse to retry the final battle

Well it is, but isn't 7,8 and 10 the same way? Isn't every Final Fantasy the same way?
Well, in FF4 we had the Kain vs Cecil and Rosa conflict (lots of emotion)
We had the Rydia inner conflict, which is beautiful and emo, then we have Tellah who is avenging his daughter's death, full of emotion. If I remember right two of the characters give their lives in a very emotional way to stop the party from being crushed.
FF 5... Galuf has lots of emotion ,and so many issues, that he doesn't even know what planet he's on. Lenna, woo boy, full of emotion and heart. And the ending of this game is very emotional, I won't spoil it.
FF6...Well do we even need to go there? LOL
We got the whole Terra thing going on, characters who have lost everything in life...without spoiling anything it's a very emo game
FF 7... We have the whole Cloud emo thing and Aeris, very sad scenes in the game, very emotional content throughout the entire game...
FF 8... Squall and Zeifer , Cid and Edea, Squall and Rinoa...Laguna and his family...
FF9...Never made it through this one yet but I'm sure it's emo.
FFx...Tidus and Yuna, Tidus and his father, Auron and Auron...
FF 12...Bash, Fran, Ashe,Vann, only played this one once but they all have a emo vibe to them to date.
FF 13..nothing new, sorry I skipped over the first 3, i haven't beat my Japanese Fancoms yet.

I honestly think there's typically a annoying character in the Final Fantasy games.
Final Fantasy 4 was probably Edward or those two kids...
Final Fantasy 5, probably my favorite of the franchise, I can't think of anyone really.

truth I agree with you about Rikku. she wasn't all that annoying in FFX. in FFX-2 she's almost as bad as Vanille. squall/zell/rinoa is the best party combo :DYeah...I have that problem in RPG's, I find a good party my first playthrough and I NEVER differ from it. I've played through FFVIII like 7 times, still have yet to use Selphie, Quistis, or Irvine (except when the story forces you to, of course). Same goes for VII...bought it on the PSN, determined to make a party besides Barret and Cid...so it's Yuffie and Cid. With Cloud, of course. Huge step for me towards diversity lol. FFIX is always Zidane, Steiner, Garnet, and Vivi...

Indeed. Like, I loved X-2, but the voiced dialogue...ugh. FFXII was fantastic (and surprised to just learn that it's the 2nd highest rated FF on metacritic) but Vaan's voice work didn't do it any favors. And let's not even get into Star Ocean's voice acting...I think a lot of dev's need to realize that voice acting in games is no longer revolutionary, and can deeply impact the overall value of the game.
That being said, though Vanille's voicing wasn't great, it didn't detract from the experience for me. I still found her conversations with Sazh (who has great voice work) to be endearing.
I like her too. I like her personality as well, I wish I could be more joyful and out going and content with life like that, I'd have all the chicks. It's brilliant! Who wants a perfect person who's all proper and boring? If I wanted to see that I'd go to the mall not a video game that's supposed to have unique characters in it.
I like her for her energetic and crazy behavior and her great attitude.
Almost a annoying character for me, but definitely brilliant design and fresh.

I never said anybody was wrong? That last art can't be towards me can it? I have so many complaints about FFXIII that there is no way I'd give t a 10 I rated it 7.5. I don't even consider it an rpg let alone Final Fantasy. It is still a good game however.

Dear lord, dude, get over yourself. I never said the game sucked or was terrible or anything like that. I actually said it was a good game the entire time. I only mentioned the things that I didn't like about it. I was initially very disappointed in the game as a Final Fantasy title. Now, however, I've had more time to play and its grown on me. I'm still disappointed for a lot of the exact reasons I stated before, and it still has a few majore flaws but I'm accepting and enjoying it as the game it is. You're the only one who's tried to say I was wrong about anything this whole time as everyone else is intelligent enough to realize that opinions can't be wrong! You can't prove me wrong because I haven't stated anything that can be proven otherwise. You calling me wrong, however, can. So I say... You, sir, are wrong. Get over it!

I agree. I really like Vanille. Hope is the one that bothers me, but he's growing on me now. He's shaping up. Hope = Raiden from MGS2. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the game. I was sad to see the lack of towns and NPC's, but I was very satisfied with the combat system.

Well, as I said in an earlier post, the story isn't all that great. I open the datalog pretty often to make sense of the things that the cutscenes don't get across very well. The datalog really does an amazing job at telling the story despite repeating itself a lot. Use the Libra Techinique on it twice. Using Libra only once only gives you half the enemy's info. Using it twice gives you all of it. On bosses that second Libra usually reveals the juicy bits. Odin, for example, is easily defeated by using a "Rav/Rav" paradigm and a "Med/Med" one switching back and forth the whole time.Can someone please give me some tips on how to beat the boss at the end of stage 5 I believe, its the one where its just lightning and hope. Does anyone have any tips for upgrading weapons? it seems i'm putting alot of resources into them and seeing little payoff. also when changing to a new weapon is there anyway to carry over or transfer some of the upgrade XP from a previous weapon or salvage more than just the meager components you get for dismantling?PoisoN_Facecam0Don't think you can carry over much from a upgraded weapon to a new one. What's a good way to earn some cash in this game? I haven't had more than 1500 gil at a time in the almost 20 hours I've been playing. What's the point of stores if I have no money? I got 20,000+ CP that I can't even use yet and enough upgrade components to level every weapon I have to ten or better (yeah, I found a few really good places for farming), but I have only 350 gil right now. No idea. I havn't gone over level 10 and I'm still at chapter 10. well i've already leveled 1 to 14 for one (which i ended up scrapping because it had no passive abilities.. I, too have most my weapons around 8-10, but I have a couple at 12. My question is this, though: How many levels do these weapons have? What's the max? Seems impossible at this point to get some of the better ones up to 12 let alone any higher. TheEldestGodplus once you hit lvl cap with a weapon it evolves into something better...
