[QUOTE="Young_Charter"][QUOTE="Texas2089"][QUOTE="Young_Charter"] Xenosaga was hot tho. I have yet to even play the 3rd one. .:( I hope they make an HD Collection.

You should definitely play Episode III. T-elos is so f*cking badass, and KOS-MOS actually becomes even more of a badass. Makes up for the somewhat lackluster design choices in the second game too. I would buy a Xenosaga HD Collection in a heartbeat even with still owning my PS2 copies of all 3 games. One of my favorite RPG series of all time. Shame they had to cut it short though. It was originally supposed to be spread across 6 games but I think due to poor sales they had to cut some things and constrain it to just the 3 games.

if they make an HD Trilogy and it sells, it could revive the project. Imo

Unfortunately I don't think so. The whole saga that they envisioned ended with the 3rd game. They just condensed it to fit into a trilogy so the ending that they wanted for the 6th game was really the ending of the 3rd game. They could always do a separate trilogy or a spiritual successor but unfortunately we'll never truly see things the way they were meant to be. Not to mention that Nintendo owns Monolith Soft now so even if there was an HD Collection, I would imagine it would be a Wii U exclusive (unless Sony could somehow negotiate it to get the game on their platform since that's where the original games were) and the install base for the Wii U isn't nearly what it is for the PS3 so I doubt it would sell all that well anyway. If they ever were to release one that would be enough for me to buy a Wii U though lol

Mass Effect 3 is great the only problem about the ending was it was like abruptly ended. But the role you play and the adventures you experience are great.

ME3 was great man, I thought the combat/gameplay was improved. Some things about ME3 are underwhelming, but many parts in the single player were mindblowing and it was just fun to play imo. I wasn't the biggest fan of the online co-op; but that may have been due to having to play with strangers (But I've had some tense moments from it.) If you enjoyed pretty much everything about 2, I'm sure your gonna like 3.

I've played the ME3 co op demo with people for hours. I actually enjoyed it. Did the Online demo benefit you with anything for single player ?

Oh it did, it gave you more War Assets (For this system ME3 has) which has an impact on the ending for the game.

Such a cheap way to force people to play MP too. The MP actually isn't half bad, but I did not like having to stop playing the game to grind through the MP for 3 or 4 hours just to make sure I got the best ending. I wish they didn't tie the two together at all.

It (the original ending) made A LOT of people furious. ME3 was a hot topic for weeks.

They made a free extended cut DLC which did add some clarity to the ending. It still wasn't what we wanted, but it was definitely an improvement so I've learned to live with it. Don't let the bad hype surrounding the ending deter you though. On the whole ME3 still was a fantastic game with some truly gutwrenching decisions and heartfelt moments.

I haven't tried going through it again yet. I plan on running through all 3 games again this summer when things die down. If I remember right part of the patch for the extended cut DLC did reduce the number of EMS you needed for the best ending which does help, but it's probably still too high to realistically get the best ending without playing any MP at all. Guess I'll find out when I get there :P Hopefully it's only minimal or none.

Sounds good to me. See 60.00 for all three isn't so bad hearing that. but by the time I finish some of the games I have, hopefully it'll be 40.00

Obsidian pitching Star Wars RPG

"I would say it's within the top three pitches we've ever come up with," he said.

The game would be set between the events of the films Episode III and Episode IV. "We think that timeframe is super interesting. It's the fall of the Republic, the extermination of the Jedi; it's Obi-Wan going off and making sure Luke is OK. You have the Sith, but you have the extermination of all Force users except for very, very few," he said.

Urquhart said he pitched LucasArts on the idea prior to Disney's acquisition of the Star Wars brand in October. He noted that the transition "changes things," but that won't keep Obsidian from pushing the game with new owner Disney.

He said when Obsidian pitched the game to LucasArts, the studio received a positive call back later that very day. Since Disney's takeover of Star Wars, though, Obsidian has yet to speak with the House of Mouse about getting the project off the ground.

"We haven't [talked with Disney yet]. We're kind of waiting for the smoke to clear," he said. "But that's one of my next big things to do. To kind of go over there and [get the ball rolling again]."

Here I thought this was going to be roleplaying of a different kind.

I started Fantasy Life recently, the standard lumberjack outfit has a skirt like thing for males. So my character looks like a female right now.

Anybody else playing Fire Emblem? I'm up to Chapter 4 now on Classic mode (when characters die in battle they're gone for good) and just lost my first unit. Poor Kellam. Nobody even knew you were there to begin with so I guess nobody will miss you. I'm gonna try not to reset and just let things happen the way they happen so we'll see how this works out.

Leviathon is amazing. I think it could be the best mission in the entire trilogy of Mass Effect. Certainly the most important mission in the whole trilogy. Omega is boring tho. The combat is good as usual, and there is a lot of it, but it seems like it has zero story.

It's a hybrid or at least an action game with RPG elements.

Yeah for an RPG/FPS hybrid, FallOut 3 is the best. Borderland's RPG elements feel like small drops of RPG elements.

You guys ever play Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1? It's really cheap right now and I'm intrigued. I've read good things but I've never really gotten into SRPGs before. Is there a good story and characters. Thought I would consider trying something new.

So, I know this is the PS3 board, but I was wondering how you dudes felt about some of the Wii RPGs. There are a few that are unique to the system, and I was thinking about checking them out. Ones I'm interested in are Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Tales of Symphonia, Rune Factory, and Arc Rise Fantasia. Any input would be appreciated.

Tales of Symphonia: A New Dawn is a good game, it was my first in series and was fun, good story as well. Rune factory is good but depends if you like the whole harvest moon part of it too as thats a big factor in those games.

He got money, he just has this strict policy of not paying full price for games. This is one game where he needs to make an exception.

Eternal Sonata:

Was playing it. Had to quit. Got about 30 hours into it. The story wasn't very good, and the cutscenes were super long and almost torture. The great thing about the game is the battle system, but there is tons and tons of battling to do, and eventually it becomes repetitive and tedious. And that's the problem IMO: because that battle system is the only great thing going for this game, and once you get tired of that, the game is toast.

The money system in the game seems broken. I always had tons more money than I ever needed. Whenever I went to a store I spent a quarter of my money and had all the best gear and healing items and stuff I needed.

This is my opinion anyway. I was about halfway through the game at 30 hours. I'm not complaining though. I paid $22 for the game at Gamestop, and that's less that $1 an hour for entertainment. I was really enjoying the game for about 20 hours, but then it started to get tiring.

Can you turn off the little voices when they speak?
