No we don't.
Really? That's why people wanted him traded? That doesn't mean we forgot how good Tuuka is. People talk about trade possibilities because Thomas still has a few years in him, and Rask is a free agent after this season. They want to keep Thomas and hopefully have Tuuka stick around for a bit more, but there's that thought in the back of your mind that he could try to find a team that will pay him better and make him a starter. That's why people were giving him a hard time about last year. When it was the team that was playing poorly in front of him. If they knew this they wouldn't want to trade away the goalie of the future. imo. And Rask has stated he wants to stay in Boston.Swanogt19
He has, and I hope it stays true, but it's not a guarantee he'll still be with the team. My point in the beginning of this is we didn't forget Tuuka. I mean damn, TUU-KA! We love him, but Thomas is a beast now, and he can help the Bruins through the playoffs. :)

And the NHLPA says "no way" to the the new realignment.Los9090Was going to ask people here what they thought of this. I like this. I still don't like the playoff structure. Move the Jets in the West and a team to the East (Nashville or Columbus). Keep the same divisions and add 1 game at each building for East and West team match ups. This possible?

Let me just say this. The Bruins beat themselves yesterday with a little help from the refs. That 5 on 3 in the first period was BS and there was no way that the Bruins should've been two men down, should've been equal on both sides. Speaking of the NHL rescinded the game misconduct on Lucic. That 5 on 3 goal was a lucky bounce after a block shot. The second goal was because campbell was with out a stick on the PK. But hey the Bruins beat themselves. And I am okay with that. Throwing away 2 pts with where we are in the standings atm to deal with the dirty and disrespectful Canucks after everything we had to deal with in the Cup finals totally with it. Burrows bites a player in the cup finals, starts the first brawl of the game, followed by six canucks on one bruin, totally uncalled for. Luongo speaking about Thomas in the Cup Finals when Thomas had never said anything about him and totally had him beat in every category in the cup finals. Rome for his hit on Horton. Hansen spearing Mcquaid in the groin when being down 4 to 0 in game 7. Waise today talking about fighting Thorton at the face off circle and then when the puck drops and Thorton drops his gloves, he skates away and is asking the ref why he should get a penalty. This team.....I would rather have the Flyers or Canaidens when the cup then this Canucks team. Swanogt19Coming from a Toronto and Chicago fan, yesterdays game was a disgrace to most hockey fans. The Bruins took every cheap shot they could get at the Cunucks, and it ended up with Marchand, the dirtiest player in the league delivering an illegal hit to Salo, probably the only respectable player on the Canucks. Both teams were pretty bad, with the Marchand hit on one side, and Dale Waise backing out of a fight. The two team are an absolute disgrace to the sport.

Bruins aside, anyone wondering what's going to happen to the Penguins? Letang and Crosby both out, now they lose Neal and Staal for an undisclosed period of time...suddenly, I'm thinking the Caps should pummel them next week :) I should knock on wood or something...
[QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"]What was the deal with that? I liked how every team would play every team twice. They should reduce the playoffs, you don't need to be like the NBA.Los9090What do you mean? Doesn't the NBA have a 5 game first round playoff?
They have 7 games each playoff round now. Last time the NBA had 5 game first round series was in '02 I think.
yeah, they're in horrible condition. not to mention you left out adams. any team that doesn't pummel them right now is just horrible.Bruins aside, anyone wondering what's going to happen to the Penguins? Gustavsson keeps on playing very well. I think there is no debate on who to start right now. Until he loses a couple in a row, or there is a back-to-back, keep him going. It'd be wonderful if Reimer can get back to the form we saw last year and early this year....it could be a great tandem.
I agree, but as a huge Leafs fan I must say it's about time Toronto gets a first line center and a top goalie. Lets face it, Gustavsson and Riemer aren't gonna get us far in the playoffs. Woo! Leafs win again, and another shutout for Gus! 2nd in less than a week.
We can go up 10 points on Buffalo if we beat them again this week.

At least not this year. You never know. Look at Philly and Chicago 2 years ago. Boucher and Leighton? Niemi? No one expected much outta them. Gus has international experience, so he can handle pressure probably. They only have to be good, and maybe steal us a game in each series. Is there even a top goalie out there? They're tough to trade for....Nabokov? Hiller? Nah. What do we do with Reimer or Gus then? Trade them? I agree, a first-line centre is a big need...get Getzlaf or Parise, and everyone moves down one..might spread out the offense.[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]

M-M-M-M-MONSTER SAVES again, and a shutout to go with it. The Leafs are also playing defensively sound and seem to have confidence in front of Gustavsson for now, which is what I b*tched about all last year. Now it seems like a reversal of the role, but to get Reimer going as well would be extremely great.
Wilson is becoming more positive in my eyes. I always liked him for his snide remarks towards the Toronto media (I don't know ANYONE who likes them), his comments about not focusing on the bottom, but to the top to gain home ice advantage for the playoffs is the start of establishing a winning culture, and plenty of us haven't seen that since Pat Quinn probably.
Jaroslav Halak returned to Montréal for the first time since being traded to the Blues and shut them out, and gets a standing ovation at the Bell Centre after the game. They really love him there for taking them to the conference finals (And I must admit it was fun seeing him school Pittsburgh and Washington in 2010).

I agree about Wilson. He wants to win, and believes they can. Plus, he admitted that when it comes to the PK, he said they probably just talked about it to much, and just got back to basics, and they've been great. The players are playing the way he wants them too, has them playing with confidence, and..well that's good:P
Hopefully the team keeps listening to him, they're on a roll. Losses are inevitable, but streaks like these in between losses, nobody would mind that. Hopefully we don't do what Buffalo has been doing, and that's not winning 2 straight since Miller's injury. Sportsnet guys talking about how the Sabers should think about moving Miller if they lose Friday and fall 10 back, and continue to fall. I couldn't imagine them doing that....but they have $80M in cash into this team, and have Enroth, and could fetch a ton for him from a desperate team (TB? Columbus?).[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]

It was really close a couple years ago. I think the year Columbus made it, they all did. The NE is backwards. Outside of Boston being in the right spot, I would thought Buffalo, MTL, Toronto then Ottawa...not the other way around. No Southwest team except Florida is in, and they only have 50 points, 1 more then Tor. who's in 6th.Geez, aside from Columbus sucking, the Central division is very close together. Only 5 point separate the division leaders (St. Louis, and Chicago is tied with them) to fourth place (Nashville)

I love Burke. :3
He's a big part of the whole "instilling a winning culture" in Toronto. His interview with McCowan today, he stated he could have just traded away all of the young guys for some 30 year old to merely make the playoffs last year. He reallywants the championship here. It's really heartening to have someone who cares again.
Telling Gustavsson that he saved our season probably helped out his confidence. And even sticking up for the goddam city and the team (the whole "loves to hate us").
This is raising my happiness leading up to going to the ACC to see the Leafs play against the Rangers this Saturday night. ^___^
I love his comments towards that new, stupid SI poll of "Overrated NHLers", with Phaneuf first. He said "who even takes place in a poll like that? To trash people? It's a silly, stupid poll". I'm paraphrasing..but you get it.I love Burke. :3
