Official 2012 NHL Playoffs Thread *Poll*

Yeah... playing on back to back nights is tough especially when there's travel involved getting home for the second game. Rangers will be in Montreal sunday night where both teams will be playing a back to back so no team really has the advantage of rest. The most impressive thing the Rangers did tonight was they totally shut down the Kessel line. I don't think they even had a shot on goal tonight.ohjtbehaaave

Despite the loss, my mother was happy being at the ACC. I was frustrated, feels good to vent it out on the players though. :P

Because I was too pissed off, I didn't take many pictures, so I'll just upload the opening faceoff. I also met a Rangers fan, he was pretty cool. Going to Montréal for that game tomorrow lol.

Still, I can't believe whoever missed that wide open net on the powerplay... That was ridiculous. At least they could get into a formation tonight, but they're still missing Liles.

I'm really feeling sorry for Wilson now, he can never get a break. Imagine if he started Reimer in net and hypothetically also let in 3 goals, the media would be calling for his head to roll down Bay Street.

Now there's rumors of Grabovski headed to Anaheim and Burke is ready to pull the trigger on a trade within the next 72 hours. Rumors are silly, but you still never know what the hell Burke is planning.

I seriously doubt that rumor is true. It's just on Twitter. Until someone in the businessmentions it (Kyper, Mackenzie, Dreger), I won't believe it.

I think they'll do something, but I haven't read anything to believe it involves the Ducks or CBJ or anyone else.

Now, if Ryan or Getzlaf get pulled tonight (they're starting even thougha deal was being "finalized" 7 hours ago), then something is up.

According to Anthony SanFilippo, Flyers beat writter, the fact that Schenn and Kadri sitting tonight (Schenn has since been assumed starting) did not mean a trade was coming. But, in speaking with a couple good NHL sources, it was mentioned that even though it probably won't go down tonight, a deal is in the works between Tornoto and the Ducks involving Bobby Ryan. IDK who'd go the other way, no names were given.

I just want something to happen:evil: Burke has made a big move every year since coming here, so I expect something. And every year a deal has included the Ducks......I see a trend:D

The Aulie-Phaneuf pairing is pretty bad. I kinda hope they're showcasing Aulie, cause why him over a rough, physical D-man, even if he struggled last game? They put Rosehill in for that, why not Komi (even though I know he doesn't fight much)

These refs are making my blood boil.

Aside from bulls*it officiating, Leafs still played a good game, Lupul and Lombardi scored. I'm not convinced that Lombardi is fully healthy yet. He seems to be becoming more dangerous as the season goes on utilizing his speed. I'm not convinced Reimer is healthy either. I think they rushed him back into the mix of things out of desperation.

At some point I just feel like giving up with this team. Sure, one point out of a playoff spot, but it's still been far too long for even a decent playoff outing. :c

EDIT: I must say I have to laugh at myself blaming the refs. :P

I might not like their calls a lot, but the Leafs gotta step it up and keep playing through it. I'm sure teams like Philadelphia and New York battle through that nonsense all the time, and look where they are. Blowing yet another two goal lead is unacceptable.

Still going to need more patience if Toronto is going to compete year in and year out. A young team still that hasn't completely meshed. And all Original Six teams have had futility streaks. But Boston and Chicago erasing their droughts puts even more pressure for a championship here.

Still plenty of hockey to play down the stretch, everything between 1-10 in the East is up for grabs relatively.
