Jesus, the people in Vancouver are f***ing bitter. Get the f*** over it. I don't get your hard-on for hating on us so much.

Swanogt19
Idk why they hate Boston so much. :P

There is going to be a certain amount of animosity towards an opposing team that yours lost to in the Stanley Cup final. I hated Dallas for years.

[QUOTE="Los9090"]NY Islanders snap 13 game losing streak to the Flyers in a 4-1 fashionJohnBean42
I had to read this a couple times to make sure it didn't mean they lost 13 in a row, then beat Philly to snap it:P Tavares, Moulson and Parenteau all have 40 points and are really fun to watch, and Nabokov hasn't been bad (although every other goalie does). They really need some secondary scoring, more than probably any team next to CBJ. I don't think there's anyone else near the 3 I mentioned

Yup, Kyle Okposo has 23 points as of today. He's turning out to be a bit of a disappointment.

Lupul and Lundqvist named alternate captains for the All-Star game. (:

AND our farm team (the Marlies) WHIPPED Montréal's (Hamilton Bulldogs) 7-2 at the outdoor game today. Hopefully the Leafs do the same to the Canadiens in a couple of hours.

Rangers beat Bruins with 3 seconds left in OT in Boston. Every time you think the NYR are a fake team they step up and pass every test presented to them. You can never count them out of any game with Lundqvist in net.

Kessel won't be picked last now. It'll probably be Sedins, Edler and Karlson + any other Sweede with Alfie, Kessel and Phaneuf on Chara. Datsyuk wants last so he gets a new car:lol:

Well, Leafs lost to the Habs, a good reason to get drunk and not remember all of it.

Tavares I think is breaking out now, though it would help if he had better players around him. but 22 points in 12 games is definitely nothing to scoff at.

St. Louis keeps tearing it up, Monday night vs. Detroit is gonna be wicked.

Yes. That I understand. I was being sarcastic. Despite beating the Flyers the Bruins are playing like crap.

WTF happened to the leafs? They were ripping **** up at the start of the season, now they just suck.

The perennial downfall was delayed apparently this year.

Definitely not taking the Islanders for granted tonight and tomorrow. I hope they're ready to at least try and shut down Tavares and Moulson.

I had tons of animosity as a 9 year old when the Hurricanes knocked the Leafs out from the ECF in 2002. Just an overwhelming feeling of being robbed.

Another week opponent, not a lot of action. (I'm so negative) But, it is a shutout, 3rd in the last, what, 6 games? Coulda been 4. Great to see Lombardi healthy and scoring.

Sure, the Islanders got a bad bounce in front, but the Leafs buckled down in OT to get the win.

Gardiner's first, Grabovski's goal was sick (and flukey), and Monster ties his season wins record at 16. Now it's time for him to shatter that. 8)

Also, even on Gardiner's goal, the only line to produce offense tonight was the MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin line. :P

That line needs to get going. Burke said he isn't worried about the secondary scoring. Grabo has been fine (in on all goals tongiht), but hopefully MacArthur gets going after this and Kulemin starts taking more shots. Crabb, Lombardi and Kadri have to keep it going. No penalties again. 16/16 this month on the PK. Wow.

Islanders fans are b*tching on a facebook page about hockey with the refs. I told them you're not going to get any sympathy from us on that.

On the OT goal, I think interference could have been called on Grabo or Kulemin...someone knocked down an Isle. Read something in the Boston Globe that suggests the Bruins could trade Thomas after the NTC ends this season. Set to make 3M next year. Someone IN THE ORGANIZATION (so not just a nobody) called him a "[expletive] selfish [expletive]". And he certainly didn't do himself any favors this week. They view that Rask is ready, and could get a lot for Thomas. I just can't see it happening. But who knows.

John-Michael Liles is staying in Toronto for four more years! :3

He even took a pay cut just to stay with us. That's a player that really wants to help a team win.

I really like it. BUT...does this spell the end maybe for Schenn and/or Grabo? Burke said Grabo would be a great "negotiating piece" in trades. But he's the 3rd best player on this team with him, fights hard every game, seems to be everywhere, in on everything...don't you need a guy like that in a playoff push? Or would you trade him (cause there's probably more of him around tbh) if it brings you the thing you've longed for: a 1st line centre

Well, perhaps Schenn goes to Philadelphia to play with his brother for another piece that isn't JVR. But who knows?

Hence that they were being obnoxious d-bags. I thought they were just being rude, it was distracting trying to hear Team Chara make their picks with all the Sens fans booing.

Highlights for me:

  • Alfie Chants/his 2 goals in the game today
  • 108.8 Shot and the cheers for Chara during the Skills Comp.
  • Stamkos's 3 goals in the Elimination Shootout
  • Carey Price mic'd up for the Skills Comp. and Hartnell mic'd up for the all star game
  • Of course can't forget the booing :P

They had a great streak last year, but I think it is too. 9 points out with 31 games left, and NJ has 2 games in hand...it would be a miracle if they get in to be honest. Great game last night. Sets up a great Battle of Ontario on Saturday. Finally, a Sens-Leafs game with meaning. Leafs win and I think he leapfrog them since they have 2 games in hand.

Anyone catch the end of the LA-Jackets game? Crazy end. LA shouldn't have won in regulation.

If I'm a team in a playoff hunt with them, like Minny or Dallas, I'd be pretty upset.
