There's this really annoying Bruins troll on post-game Leafs comments on NHL.com that makes me hate the Bruins more than I should. >___>

Phoenix is on a bit of a run, 5 game winning streak. And the Kings have scratched Dustin Penner for two straight games. Possible trade or because of his maddening inconsistency?Los90902 games? Can't be a trade. Not yet anyways. Leafs are interested, and it kinda makes sense...

At least he's making the most of it: http://beta.images.theglobeandmail.com/archive/01373/Los_Angeles-201_1373689cl-8.jpg Rick Nash is out there. He's apparently given Howson a list of teams, and it's short. Bet T.O isn't there. L.A might be an option, along with Vancouver (if he wants that spotlight). Tell me again why the ASG is in Columbus next year?
And Elliotte Friedman, maybe favorite hockey T.V personality and writer in this city, was thinking out loud....would CBJ or Washington do a straight up Nash for Ovi? Nash is much more of a team player and may help get them further than Ovi, and Ovi...who knows, maybe needs a change of scenery. I think he'd be even grumpier. Doubt Washington would do it though lol.
I'm sorry to say, but I feel like sending any player to Columbus is the NHL's equivalent to the death sentence. And Elliotte Friedman, maybe favorite hockey T.V personality and writer in this city, was thinking out loud....would CBJ or Washington do a straight up Nash for Ovi? [QUOTE="JohnBean42"]I'm sorry to say, but I feel like sending any player to Columbus is the NHL's equivalent to the death sentence. Well if Carter wants out of there after like, 5 months...and Filitov never wanted there...then I agree. I respect Nash for wanting to build something, but his talent is, unfortunately, being wasted. Could you imagine if the pick Yakopov and, like Filitov (another Russian in the OHL at the time), he declines to play there. He didn't really declined...but he complained about it daily and demanded a transfer to the KHL, when Hitchcock was coach. He isn't there anymore obviously...so it shouldn't be a big problem. And Elliotte Friedman, maybe favorite hockey T.V personality and writer in this city, was thinking out loud....would CBJ or Washington do a straight up Nash for Ovi? Rangers are blowing my mind this year! They didn't even play that great and still beat the Bruins in Boston 3-0!
Lundqvist is the league MVP at this point imo.

*Sigh* Leafs.......better win tonight. I still think we need a shutdown Dman (who can PLAY defense), and maybe a 1st line forward. I don't know about a goalie...
There will be a press conference tomorrow in Seattle to announce an agreement on building a new sports arena complex. Monkeymust be happy.
Wow, what a start! 2 goals from Lups and Lombardi.
EDIT: Scratch that. 2-1. Terrible, terrible defense. Did I say it was terrible and we need a shutdown Dman who can play DEFENSE!
As cool as it would be to have Rick Nash on our team (local boy), I feel like people are overvaluing him a bit. Yeah, he's never left Columbus, but it isn't like I'd expect him to top 100 points a season or generally lead us to the promised land like some think he will.
According to Damien Cox's Twitter, he's confirmed that Nash has said Toronto is one of the locations he would waive his NTC, and possibly his number one destination. That's probably the only thing that warms me, players wanting to play for the Leafs again.
IF IF IF he does somehow end up here, I hope he can handle the microscope, I know (and frankly any NHL player born within or around the Greater Toronto Area) Nash knows it too well.
I'm also psyched for this Seattle sports complex announcement. Hopefully we're welcoming them to the NHL soon.
Look at the team he's on. Can you name 2 players that could be considered all stars that have played with him, to feed him the puck or vice versa for points? I can't. 4 playoff games in how many years? I think he's a very good player who's talent is being wasted in Columbus. Forget everything I've said about him before this:P Cox is an idiot, and won't believe it till I hear it elsewhere. I think MacKenzie said they're one of the teams (maybe Kypreos?). Hopefully Cox is right. I'd give up Schenn for him, no way in hell I'd give up Gardiner, I'd trade MacArthur or Kulemin if they want them, Kadri maybe and a pick. I think Schenn HAS to be included in any big trade. I think other players will help take the spotlight off, like Phaneuf and Lupul. But there is no way to avoid it. It sounds the the NBA is the top priority for this Seattle arena to host...the NHL is a "meh" at this point for the owner. And If we make the playoffs, I look to what Phaneuf did last night as a huge play, the biggest of the year so far. Excellent hustle, glad to see it.As cool as it would be to have Rick Nash on our team (local boy), I feel like people are overvaluing him a bit. This sounds like it is really going to happen, with no public money being used. I would hate to take a team from any city, but I am also looking forward to the prospect of the Seattle Coyotes ;)There will be a press conference tomorrow in Seattle to announce an agreement on building a new sports arena complex. Why the hell they still have a team there and the NHL is trying to keep it there is beyond me.[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]

Hal Gill and a 2013 draft pick to the Preds. Swanogt19Good move for both. Habs get Gerffrion, Robert Slaney (former Leaf, they got him in the Franson trade), and a 2nd rounder. Not...terrible.

I'm really getting sick of these west coast morons here putting the team down, and even the city in general.
