And Elliotte Friedman, maybe favorite hockey T.V personality and writer in this city, was thinking out loud....would CBJ or Washington do a straight up Nash for Ovi? Nash is much more of a team player and may help get them further than Ovi, and Ovi...who knows, maybe needs a change of scenery. I think he'd be even grumpier. Doubt Washington would do it though lol.

*Sigh* Leafs.......better win tonight. I still think we need a shutdown Dman (who can PLAY defense), and maybe a 1st line forward. I don't know about a goalie...

As cool as it would be to have Rick Nash on our team (local boy), I feel like people are overvaluing him a bit. Yeah, he's never left Columbus, but it isn't like I'd expect him to top 100 points a season or generally lead us to the promised land like some think he will.

According to Damien Cox's Twitter, he's confirmed that Nash has said Toronto is one of the locations he would waive his NTC, and possibly his number one destination. That's probably the only thing that warms me, players wanting to play for the Leafs again.

IF IF IF he does somehow end up here, I hope he can handle the microscope, I know (and frankly any NHL player born within or around the Greater Toronto Area) Nash knows it too well.

I'm also psyched for this Seattle sports complex announcement. Hopefully we're welcoming them to the NHL soon.
