Burke and Howson had an unscheduled meeting in NYC today to discuss Nash.
Let the rumors run wild people!
I don't think the Rangers should go after Nash. Whats the point considering how well they're playing? And how about Minnesota's Niklas Backstrom stopping 48 Boston Bruin shots in a 2-0 shut out?Los9090If they get him, they might be the favorite.
[QUOTE="monkeytoes61"]http://mynorthwest.com/422/630686/Reporter-Seattle-is-favorite-to-land-relocated-NHL-team It's moving forward!Los9090Probably will get Phoenix then? Don't see anyone else moving.
Ya know, the Islanders sure could in the coming years. No new arena deal, and I believe the lease on their current one expires soon (maybe this year?). They get hardly anyone there...you never know,

I was watching the Sens-Islanders game today and they mentioned it expires in 2015. They also have no plans on extending the lease either.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the Islanders will be in Brooklyn with the Nets. I think the Islanders are supposed to play a year at the new Brooklyn arena anyway once the lease is up... and I have a feeling they are going to stay there. If they were going to be getting a new arena on Long Island it would have had to be under construction already... and nothing is going on at this point. Also the Rangers have made a deal that says they are fine with the Islanders playing in Brooklyn or Queens if they don't stay on the Island.
They play the Devils in Brooklyn next season at their brand new state-of-the-art rink. Either one of them could find their way there soon, but I agree, more likely the Isles do. And it's 2015? So 3 more seasons. I knew they (the Nassau County) don't want to extend the lease or build a new rink, but the owner Charlie Wang keeps trying.I have a sneaky suspicion that the Islanders will be in Brooklyn with the Nets. Wow. I just don't understand the Caps at all. They seem totally unmotivated, no matter who is coach. They just don't look like they wanna win. Down 4-0 to Carolina? Yikes. Hunter look disgusted. Something is just....not working.
Time to move some bodies I think, especially Semin. It just time.
Meanwhile, Toronto and Winnipeg will stay in 8th place thanks to thisself destruction.
Lmao, I follow him on Twitter. Along with Chemmy (Felix Potvin). Both are pretty funny.Lol, Steve Dangle just trolled the f*** out of everyone on Facebook. Said Clarke MacArthur got traded to the Sharks. :P
Everyone bit the bait.

I....I just don't know what to say.
Guess Reimer next game. But does it really matter? Burke: go get a goalie! Please.
Burke admited today that before the deadline is done, they will explore the market for goalies. Big change from a couple weeks ago.
Thank you Caps for continuing to suck slightly more than us, and allowing us to hang onto 8th.
Signed, Leafs and Jets fans.
P.S: They haven't scored since the 2nd period Saturday...over 130 minutes.

For the love of god Leafs, please win or at LEAST be competitive tonight, both of which you haven't done much of lately. Reimer in net.
Might actually need to drink tonight.....we shall see.
Carter to the Kings sounds near done. Jack Johnson's name has come up a lot, along with Bernier and/or a first rounder. Probably gets done tonight. Reunited with Richards...some chemistry there, get the offense going.
They're going to take on the Richards AND Carter contracts and trade one of their better defensemen, despite how disappointing he's been? Wow. Lombardi fighting to keep his job IMO.
I don't think the Rangers are willing to give up what CBJ is asking for Nash. They don't need to. And if CBJ was smart... they'd wait until the offseason and field offers for Nash from every team if they want to get fair value back. ohjtbehaaaveThey are definitively considering it. Might get a better 1st round pick out of it since teams interested wouldn't be just contenders with low picks. Get off your damn knees Reimer. Geez.
[QUOTE="SF_KiLLaMaN"]Lost in a shootout to Vancouver. That's heartbreaking. :(Mkavanaugh77What a game that was! I will say that they got lucky that Dasyuk is out. :P
This year it's backwards....do great, up to 7th place. NOW we start failing, rather than Oct/Nov/Dec.The Leafs always have to make it frustrating ever since post-lockout.

Leafs-Caps tonight. Obviously, huge game. Reimer in net, Lupul is healthy...could be the last time we see some guys depending on what happens.
I was reading through the first few pages last night of this thread....boy was I off in what I said:P Down year for Vancouver? Nashville will slump? LA-TB Cup Final? Pfft. At least what I said about the Leafs was accurate lol.
I don't (can't) drink...but damn if I could, I would of after 4 minutes of this game.I'm hitting the bar. There's no f***ing way I'm watching this third period.

Why the hell are there 20 minute ceremonies so often? Ruins the team. Burke should have a say. No excuse though, the game is brutal. I don't know what will help.
If Wilson wasn't given the extension, would he be gone? I don't think it should effect if he gets fired or not but still...would they even fire him at this point without the extension. I'd sure as hell fire him, this is pathetic.
They said on the HotStove tonight that if the Leafs lost badly, they'd be sellers.
They also said they received a 1st rounder for Grabo, possible top 10, be declined. Burke said pregame that he hasn't offered Schenn to anyone, but said to Schenn that he can't say that he will or will not be traded.
Leafs talk briefly to the Oilers about Khabibulin, no fit really. Zero interest in Vokoun. That may all change.
According to Kypreos, the Rangers had an offer in for Nash, as did Toronto, the only two serious teams about him.
And Dustin Brown has 4 points (and a hat trick) after the trade rumors.
I want the Cup here - but in all honesty, and I think Tampa has an amazing team and Nashville, harleyottoOne of Tampa's key players is injured and they have no goal tending atm. I think Nashville has a shot as good as anybody. Trade deadline at 3pm. Does anyone want to see some trades down for their team? I'd like to see the Bruins grab a Dman but they've missed out on Gil and I don't know of any other solid Dman they could trade for. We don't really have much to offer in a trade to tbh, maybe some prospects other than Dougie but we really dont have any good looking prospects than him.
