Yes you did. But we still didn't play good hockey. Gave up too many goals.I told you they would beat the Leafs.

Way to many defensive breakdowns last night, hung Gus out to dry.
Carter Ashton makes his debut tonight for the Leafs. Armstrong out with a suspected concussion, but no confirmation for Carlyle. Lupul also out, may be long-term.
Surprised it's not Kadri or Colbourne...
Oh, if Turco is claimed by any team, for example TB, who lost Garon last night, he would be ineligable to play since he would be claimed after the TD. But if he signs a regular contract and passes through with the Bruins, he's eligible. So no real point to claim him other than to make Boston's situation worse I guess? Unfair to Turco though then.
I believe he can play. But not into the playoffs. Swanogt19There's a reason for Turco not eligible for the playoffs. So I watch a few Austrian league games because there's a Croatian team (Medveščak), Turco signed with Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. In that contract, he had an opt-out date which was the day of the trade deadline. The only problem though was that he wanted to help RBS in the playoffs, but they lost in the first round to KAC. He signed with the Bruins after the fact, and any signings after the trade deadline, he's not allowed to play in the playoffs.
7th overall pick and counting. I didn't think that in the 4th year of Burke, we'd be in the draft lottery. Tank Nation!
I was at the Leafs/Flyers game, it was amazing. Obviously I didn't get the result I wanted, but I'll take a point from the Flyguys anyday.
I have some pictures of the Flyers at ice level during pre-game warmups (the stweard on the Leafs side of the arena was being mean, so I didn't get good photos of them):

Crosby needs to go the Morneau way. Master_LiveHe's back Thursday. Feeling better than his first comeback. If he's healthy and STAYS healthy, Pens are my favorite for the Cup. If Leafs lose to the Panthers tonight...I may just lose it more than I have before. ESPECIALLY if it is a shutout.

He can't take a hit, and if someone knocks him out the uproar would be huge. Crosby can't play like that, opposing players can't play like that. Either he won't be touch and that isn't hockey or he will go down and be done. Better get out before something regrettable happens.

Well, GM Meetings were this week, and the issue of concussions didn't come up at all pretty much. I know what you're saying, and I agree. If he's hurt again, it will be bad....and no one will want to be "that guy" who ends Crosby's career or season or whatever. So they'll be...gentle. And ya, it's not hockey.
Starting to think this team won't make the playoffs. Swanogt19How does a team blow out team after team and then turn into this. Like I don't even have any words. I don't get it.
How does a team blow out team after team and then turn into this. Like I don't even have any words. I don't get it. That's how I feel about the Leafs entire February. Yeah, yeah, they suck, but they had a legitimate chance at making the playoffs this year. Something has to be going on in the dressing room.[QUOTE="Swanogt19"]Starting to think this team won't make the playoffs. sherman-tank1
Tank Nation is alive and well. 1 point from last place, meaning 1 point from 3rd pick.
Carlyle called out the team after yesterdays game. They're saying soft Carlyle is now gone, as they need to figure out what they got. My question is: That was SOFT Carlyle? Oh boy...

[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]Carlyle was ever soft? My point exactly. If that was soft Carlyle...I can't imagine normal Carlyle. Kulemin out for 3 weeks with broken finger. That kinda year for him. Damien Cox wrote an article today suggesting the Leafs trade Kessel. I'm not going to even link it because of how stupid it sounds. And the 57% of Star readers that agree are also stupid.Tank Nation is alive and well. 1 point from last place, meaning 1 point from 3rd pick.

Hopefully it's the last time we say that when related to a concussion.El Sid is back.

On Sportsnet tonight: "Let's talk to some players to see what they have to say about this brewing controversy", or something, re: Kessel trade. "Brewing controversy"? Sportsnet is the one making it a "story", or actually, one of their idiot panelists who writes for the newspaper. They're hyping up their own story. And he completely contradicted himself saying that they need to change something after what's happened, with a new coach and losing...but then said "the losing streak hasn't changed anything on how this team should go with a rebuild".
Why the hell would you trade a 24 year old sniper who gets 30 goals with ease. Sure he isn't a great leader or physical. But he's a kinda player we need/want. Young, dynamic hockey player. You would trade him who what, similar players with similar skill sets? Or a downgrade of sorts? Or piece or pieces that won't be ready for 1-2 years?
So i was watching this  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co6JSXPlLSA&feature=related Then came across this one  (skip to 2:45) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y6tc84scIA&feature=related Man this team, it's always a train wreck with the Kings and i can't help but watch, i think they have the odds against getting in.....oh well, the Detroit Lions of hockey. ^^ Funny, was JohnBean42 taken on teh twitter already? For some reason i'm also fascinated by Curling, but you never see it besides the Olympics....X360PS3AMD05
No, it WAS JohnBean42...that's my username for everything. For some reason though, I changed it to 32 (Halladay and my baseball number) cause that's what I originally wanted here at GS and for my GMail. Now I try and change it, but I think it's taken. Oh well.
Ya, for people in the States is hard to find. But here in Canada, its on quite a bit over winter, with the Scotties (woman's Canadian championship) and the Brier (the men's) being the two biggest events. The Brier actually just wrapped up.
Did you actually look me up on Twitter? :P Cause I assume that's where you saw where I like curling...I have mentioned it here. If you go through my tweets, they're either about The Hunger Games, the ball game I'm going to in April, sports, or retweets of sports..or funny things. I'm not a very interesting guy:P

In terms of his logical analysis in his article it was "sound", but my mind was all "NO WE'RE NOT TRADING KESSEL YOU B****, F*** YOU COX"I would add you on twitter bro, but i rarely use it so it'd be a waste :P 5 teams...or is it 6 with the Stars? Within 1 point or two of 3 playoff spots, this is insane! I must say i don't like how many playoff teams there are but it seems every year it goes down to the wire with a bunch of teams so close to one another. X360PS3AMD05That's generally the playoff race every year. :v
Tampa Bay looked terrible last nightLos9090They weren't the only ones. God damn that was bad. There's nothing more to say.

X360PS3AMD05I have the SLIGHTEST of soft spots for the Kings only because of Anže Kopitar, from Slovenia. He brings hope one day that maybe someone from Croatia will be able to crack the NHL.
His goal last night was sweet, tee it up and slap.
There's a guy who posts on a Kings blog from Slovenia, and some others from other parts you wouldn't think :P It's like early morning for these guys and they watch the games with us. X360PS3AMD05They want to see their boys play. I wanted to see Medveščak play in the Austrian League, but a lot of games are in the early afternoon here.
