Claude Giroux is back from a concussion. How relieved must the Flyers be? Giroux's loss was more important than Crosby'sLos9090They really didn't miss a beat. But 4 points in his return? Wow. He didn't miss a beat either.
Atta boy Kadri. 8)
Reimer was back to form against the Kings, it was a shame he couldn't win that one, but now I think the leafs finally have two confident goalies that give them a chance to win almost all nights. Defense has to hold up to their end.
So much for some asshats saying Kessel is cooling off. :v
Kessel has been a very talented player for a few years now. I remember when he scored 30 plus goals in Boston. I was quite upset that he left for more money. But oh well. What can you doSwanogt19He's been criticized a lot here for not yet scoring 40, yet I don't see a problem with a perrenial 30+ one either. As long as the team as a whole is rolling, I don't give a damn, but he's been a big part of the leafs this season, so. :v And Habs lose fifth straight, this is amazing.
Anyone think they will fire this new coach? Swanogt19If they had a coach that could speak French they would be 5-0 right now and on their way to their 25th Stanley Cup in June. :v
On that topic I think there should be a poll for the halfway season on who users think will take it all. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the Bruins repeat, but out of the East I can see Philadelphia and the Rangers taking a stake at it. For the West, Chicago looks poised to return to the finals, but my "dark horse" (if you can call them that) would be St. Louis. They've been on a roll since Hitchcock's joined. (well, more consistent.)
I was kinda surprised he was called up before Christmas, I was expecting Colbourne. Kadri has been great in the AHL, but idk..I just thought he could stay a bit longer. Reimer looks very, very good now. It would be great if this doesn't stop Gus from playing the way he has. Seeing the Habs lose 5 in a row and 0-4 under Randy, including a shutout to the Jets last night, is awesome. Maybe this will push Molson to fire the man that should have been gone a long time ago. Hint: It's not the coach, nor should it have been. If this was a French coach losing 4 in a row, people would just say "Ahh, why didn't you hire *insert name here*, he wouold be SO much better, and can learn french. Crawford did it!' For my contenders, like mentioned, I would say it's Boston and Philly 1a and 1b, then NY. Pitt. can be dangerous with or without Sid, so don't count them out. In the West, Chicago looks great, but idk about Crawford/Emery for the playoffs. Emery does have experience...also, I won't discount Minny, they have the goaltending, just gotta get some more scoring. St. Louis is good, but I doubt Elliott can do this all year.Atta boy Kadri. 8)

It's also nice to see the farm team of the Leafs, the Marlies, do well this year. :3
They handle games really well when others are called up to the big team, and even better than the Leafs are leading their division. (:
I'm in Scumberg right now (Hate it here so much), but Mike Zigomanis is a really popular player down in the Marlies and a lot of people in the city want him to be called up. I think the problem some people mention is that he has to clear waivers and there would be quite a few teams interested in him. He's apparently a good penalty killer when called upon, but I don't think he's going to crack the Leafs because his job is to help out in the minors.
Ya, Zigomanis would ave to clear waivers on the way down (maybe up too). He's an outstanding faceoff man (many fans wondered why we got Steckel when we had Zigomanis) and a great PK'er. So a team in need of a good 4th line center to win key draws would pick him up in an instant. And that thing about the Marlies to the Leafs...I think Eakins has to be credited for that. He probably instills some type of attitude and confidence that you need when you play in T.O, and that just sticks with them with the big club. He was an assistant for years, he knows what it takes. Kadri might be the best example...he has a ton of confidence and scoring some big goals. It's also nice to see the farm team of the Leafs, the Marlies, do well this year. :3

I love some of the replys...James Duthie's was funny (my autograph is on the way) and Dreger too (coupon for Dexter box set?). And some asking why he wanted a pink slip.
Obviously, it's the contract extenssion.
I don't really mind Wilson all that much anymore, he was right in saying that he's right where he thought they would be. Plus I love his snide and sarcastic comments to the media. :D If there's one thing to hate on, it's definitely Simmons and Damien Cox.From Ron Wilson's Twitter:

Him and Burkie on Twitter are hilarious. I hate Simmons and Cox, so seeing Wilson and Burke insult them is pretty funny. That whole incident where Wilson was "lying" about his starting goalie was pretty funny. Wilson got the last laugh: @ coachrw63: Favorite movies: Liar, Liar; The Invention of Lying; Big Fat Liar. Well...he got the extension. Although, sounds like it's for 1 year. So if they miss the playoffs this year, or get off to a horrible start next season, they'll fire him.
3 goals on 8 shots I think. 1 PP, one breakaway (cause of turnover) and another he just should of had. Didn't look good at all.Bad blunder by Schenn, they could have had OT. >___> Too many turnovers in general.
I only watched the third period, why was Reimer pulled?

What a f*cking depessing game. go up 3-1, and lose that in a matter of 2 minutes. Turned it off after the OT penelty, I knew what was coming. F*cking patchetic. Don't know how to play with a lead.

Dude, against Carolina too..... That's what makes it worse. We suck against the 'Canes. Ugh. At least Canada won like they were supposed to do. Off NHL: Mark Stone is a beast at the WJHC.[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]

Some people say it's the lack of veterans on the team. I slightly agree, but they have Steckel and Liles who are 30, but Liles is unfortunately out. :c Hopefully they play a good game against Winnipeg. What a f*cking depessing game. go up 3-1, and lose that in a matter of 2 minutes. Wow. USA out of WJHC. Lose to Czech 5-2. Petr Mrazek was sensational, 52 stops in the win (and almost scored). Detroit may have another hidden gem, drafted 141st by them. Who knows, one game (or one tournament) doesn't define a goalie, especially a junior one *coughPoggecough*
Tomorrow's game will be no fun:( Hopefully John Gibson starts...great goalie for Kitchener, love watching him.

[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]Doesn't surprise me, didn't hear to much about the U.S. squad this season I actually is a huge upset. Americans had 7 returnees and 5 or 6 players that played in the NHL at one point. So they were heavy favs for gold. Czech had....no one that I know of.Wow. USA out of WJHC. Lose to Czech 5-2.
