I know ARod has been bad, but how come no one is giving much attention to Cano and Granderson. Combined 3-34 and Grandy has 9 Ks, same as ARod. At least Cano has had some productive outs, with 4 RBIs, but still. IIRC, Tex was on 4 times in front of Cano, and that led to absolutely nothing

If they lose, ARod isn't the only one that has to take the heat.

That Justin Verlander will be a hall a famer. He's only 29(30 in feb) and has more high productive years left. Too bad he plays in the AL central (White sox fan =(

Tigers win. :) Now to find out who they'll play. As much as I hate the Yankees, I kind of want them to win so Detroit can beat them again. :P

Verlander gaped my A's :( It was still so much fun watching them this year though. I loved watching them over-achieve with the 2nd lowest payroll in baseball.

ARod isn't the only one that has to take the heat.

JohnBean42

But he will, they are going to run him out of town. Fans and the NY media has never liked A-Rod, the only reason they tolerate him is because he was a great player now that that isn't the case all bets are off. He gets paid the more money and he will get the biggest scrutiny.

NY papers covers about Alex Rodriguez problems at the plate.

Wow, that might have nip the foul pole but it is so blurry that it couldn't be possibly be overturn if we use the "clear and irrefutable" evidence standard to change the call.

Nationals start 2B, 3B, HR, and are up 3-0. Wow. With Gio on the hill, it'll be tough to overcome. But long way to go.

Look at the poll, it was something like 6-1 in favor on Trout but now Cabrera has taken the lead yet none of his supporters care enough to make an argument besides Blabadon.

I don't know what the fvck Mike Matheny is thinking, but maybe, just maybe, he might wanna take Wainwright out before the game gets MORE out of reach.

Are the Nats allowed to have champagne in the clubhouse after? :P I wonder how many Expo fans will travel to Washington to watch the next round.

More of a reason to hate the MLB and the owners for abandoning them in their last couple years. Some are die-hard fans that have followed the team even after they left. But to most, it's been too long between them leaving and the playoffs, it's not really the Expos anymore.

I didn't know I was expected to make a statement about the poll after I voted... Cabrera and Verlander are the only reason the Tigers are even in the postseason. When our team wasn't hitting anything, Cabrera was the only person getting runs and the only reason we won a few games in such a bad stretch. The fact that he is one of the sole reasons the Tigers got into the playoffs is reason enough to give him the MVP. After all, it isn't the best player, it's the most valuable, right? Throw in the fact that he has the best batting average in the AL and has always been good ever since he came into MLB, he deserves an MVP.

Probably because of the hockey and CFL rivalry :P But a lot are Jays fans now. I know they had a couple sections full earlier this year at a Jays game for "Expos Recognition Day". Lots of fans in Expo and Jays gear. Even Expo and Nats stuff.

I was hoping New York would win, I believe the Tigers match up better against them. The Tiger's have superior starting pitching although their bullpen is questionable.

If the Yankees offense is anything like it was vs. Baltimore's pitching, NY will really be in tough. Cano, Swisher and Grandy really have to wake up.

It's such a joke that players only get a 50 game suspension for cheating. They should be kicked out of baseball.

Guess you gotta change the title :P

Man, what a collapse. What's up with these Cards and their last strike heroics?

And the whole history with this team is cursed. All the way back to Rick Monday against the Expos in 1981.

As for the poll...sticking with Detroit, and I just can't go against STL anymore. Tigers-Cards World Series.

lol, it was 6-3 when I step outside for a few hours come back 5 mins as of this writing its 9-7 Cards. lol, once again MLB( and NFL) prove The best team during the regular season do not win/or compete for the championship. And people say the NBA regular season doesnt matter.

Well, to be fair, this might had been a completely different series if Strasburgh had pitched.
