[QUOTE="PSP107"]lol, it was 6-3 when I step outside for a few hours come back 5 mins as of this writing its 9-7 Cards. lol, once again MLB( and NFL) prove The best team during the regular season do not win/or compete for the championship. And people say the NBA regular season doesnt matter.

Add the NHL to that. 2 of the best teams last year was out in round 1, and the Cup winner was the 8th seed who got in on the last or 2nd last day. But there's just something about baseball...everything can change at any moment. And these playoffs sure have shown that.

Guess you gotta change the title :P

Man, what a collapse. What's up with these Cards and their last strike heroics?

And the whole history with this team is cursed. All the way back to Rick Monday against the Expos in 1981.

As for the poll...sticking with Detroit, and I just can't go against STL anymore. Tigers-Cards World Series.

JohnBean42

And a cursed team moves to a cursed city.

Well I guess I'll go and predict the Tigers to win it all although the I'm keeping an eye on the Giants.

They were pretty good. But Chicago beat a Philly team who got in on the last day of the season as an 8 seed, and Boston..well, those were the 2 best teams. It doesn't happen all the time, but there tend to be a lot more upsets and lower seeds in the finals than other sports.

lol Pete Kozma replaces Pujols, freakin sick! I have no doubt they will crush the Gnats unlike the Red chokers or Natitude pretenders. You just had the vibe from that stadium that they were getting nervous and didn't think they could really win.

[QUOTE="Master_Live"]I got Yanks in 7. PSP107

Based of what? Where is your analysis?

I believe pitching is the most important factor in October. Verlander and CC cancel each other, Scherzer and Kuroda cancel each other, Fister and Pettite cancel each other, and Sanchez and Hughes are equally shaky. Detroit's bullpen has been shaky so far in the playoffs while the Yanks bullpen has been solid. For the talk about the Tigers offense they are top heavy with Cabrera and Fielder but not much depth. The Yanks lineup is deeper and can get out of funk because they have patience and see many pitches. The Yanks defense is better with the 3rd fewest errors in the AL, 15 less than Detroit. These team are pretty even, hence why I think it will go 7. Feel free to refute.

I love this. I hate Valverde. His antics on the mound are quite funny considering he's a fat tub of overrated lard.

I don't like the Yankess at all, but I want Ichiro to get his ring.

Jeter fractures his ankle and is done for the remainder of the playoffs. I had the Tigers as favorites to win this series before that injury, but now it should probably be over in five games.

Just moments ago On TBS just, they were debating should Arod move to ShortStop(SS). Been a long time.

That would be stupid, A-Rod is "capable" at 3rd. He doesn't have the agility anymore to play short.

It's funny how they show the graphic with nobody else really performing and Cano doing worse than A-Rod but somehow he gets most of the hate? Guess what you knew when you signed him that you'd be lucky to have half of those years be productive and that's pretty much what happened so why are they crying now? A players prime ends at age 32, A-Rod was decent to 37 what more do you want? Carp on the hill in Game 2, that's 2-0 Red Birds going to STL. motte's beard > wilson/romo

Exactly, it was extremely rare for players to put great seasons after 35 but with PED's that changed. A-Rod just happened to signed his contract just before his own use was uncovered.

Ushers in Yankee Stadium were instructed to move fans to lower levels so there wouldn't be so many empty seats viewable on television.

On a Saturday.

For a playoff game.

Yeah I read about that. The largest city in the U.S. can't even fill a 51,000 seat stadium. Kinda sad, I thought the Yankees had the most fans?
