Yeah, but there've hardly been any X360s sold in Japan. It's not like SE would have to really ramp up the production of games to meet the demands of the Japanese X360 market. ;)

The 360 is almost out-selling the Wii in japan, and in other news the PS3 outsold the Wii in Japan. Sony is making a come-back. O:WSGRandomPerson
I guess the 40 GIG idea was a success. I think the reason the Wii is being beaten is how Nintendo is saying that there is a major Wii shortage.

We'll see. I believe they're still losing quite a bit of money on every machine sold, though.

Hmm....we'll see. It's quite a toss-up. I mean they both have a huge lead over Sony, but 2008 looks to be Sony's year with a lot of amazing games coming out. And it sounds like Sony's finally starting to make the right moves. But it'll definitely be an interesting year....

Yeah, the moves they have made recently have been good. If they're still losing around $200 per machine though, selling 5 million will cost them $1 billion. The going is still going to be tough for them whether sales improve or not.

Well yeah but everyone loses money on consoles. You don't make consoles to make money off the hardware itself, that's why you have the games.

That's very true, but they'll still have to shift a fair number of games per system sold in order to break even. Things are looking better for the PS3, but there's still a long way for it to go yet before it can be deemed a success.

Yeah it does. Hopefully Sony will get a turn-around, they just need to stop pushing games back. and start putting release dates on the upcoming anticapated games like. . Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and possibly Kingdom Hearts III. =|
WSGRandomPerson
I'll tell you this on KH3. When FFXIII and Vs XIII are finish, SE will focus on KH3. Nomura will focus on that series, since I heard that he said that he will not work on the FF series anymore.
No, SE will continue on the FF series, but Nomura will not work on the project.
Something I've just thought about....they're making Star Ocean 4, but will SE continue with the Grandia series? kryu88
Good point. I don't think very soon, but they will.

When we really start talking about it.. there are a lot of games to look forward to...
the 360 ones (not for me, but I'm sure they'll do well)
XIII, VS XIII, Star Ocean IV, KH3.... for ps3
too many DS games to name
DQ Swords, Chocobo Dungeon.... for Wii...
Dissidia, Crisis Core, Birth by Sleep... for psp...
I know I'm missing a ton of them, but even just with those, we have a lot of games we're waiting for..

I'm just posting the ones you left out.
360- Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery
PS3- Last Remnant(remember I'm just posting the ones you left out).
Wii- A FFCC
DS- FF4 DS, DQ 4, 5, and 6 DS; KH: 358/2, DQ 9, Final Fantasy crystal Chronicles(I forgot the name of the CC)
Yea...it's always crazy to think about how many games SE is always working on at the same time. They must have a massive team - I hope.
On the whole Sony thing...yeah, I just think that they are now finally starting to do some damage control that Kutaragi left them. I hope to see them do well because I really do think the PS3 is quite good. 2008 looks to have some great games for them and with some of the good decisions they are finally starting to make maybe things will look up. Regardless - it's gonna be intense, the 360 and the Wii are also powerhouses.
Who would've thought....the Wii - the little console that could! :P

For a game business, yes, they have a big team.
I know, the Wii is still holding up against the 360 and PS3. I think its moto should be the little console that could, like you said Celes.

But i honsetly thing the Wii is going to be burned out within a year or two. They might be doing good now at the start of it, but i have a feeling it'll die out like the gamecube did.
WSGRandomPerson
I kinda agree with you on that, since its downfall is the lack of quality(and semi-quality) 3rd party games. SMG increased the sales of the Wii, and so will Brawl and Mario Kart DS. The question they(nintendo) need to ask is, what about after those games?
They need more exclusive 3rd party games for the Wii for it to survive. SE could make a spinoff of DQM for the Wii or something to that extent.

Well they did make Dragon Quest Swords but it seems too easy and still aimed at a general audience instead of more serious gamers.

That's what I've been asking myself ever since E3...there's nothing past that. Nothing! It sucks..where is the Wii going? I don't know...there's too much crap on there.

So....you're on chapter 2....and your characters are level 80? Is that all you've been doing is powerleveling? Leveling in tactics doesn't matter as much as in other RPGs, it's whatjobs and skills you have unlocked that matter. I'm in chapter 4 and Agrias is only level 25, yet she still is useful because she has up to date armor and skills. So if you consider being at a ridiculous level at that point good then...yeah, but to me in Tactics level doesn't matter as much.
After SSBB, and possibly another Zelda game. They'll have nothing, die out. Then they'll release another console with a stupid name. :D
WSGRandomPerson
Or they will actually name the next one the Revolution:P

lol, that's some dedication. I thought the Gamecube was called "Project: Dolphin" too. I mean, that's what the reference to it was for a while before it came out. Maybe that thing at the end of Smash Bros. was just a "hidden cookie" reference or an actual company or somethin'.

I know it was. I also know the Nintendo 64 was the Ultra 64 and that the Nintendo DS was nicknamed the Nitro briefly (hence why NDS cards say NTR on it).
Anyone notice that on the games on the numbers that start DOL, RVL, NTR are all from their old code names?
Worthless nerd trivia of the day ;)

I would answer that but I'm too busy laughing with you sig , I never saw that chapter, truth be told the only star trek serie I really like was EnterpriseFenian_lostsoul
