Hahaha, my brother so loves this Harry Potter thingy. I'll probably end up having to take him to watch it wednesday - and probably watch as well since I'll be there anyway! Plus it will take my thoughts off things right now!

The only good one was the Sony one. the Nintendo one to me was an absolute joke which saddened me since they went on and on and on about their success and showed us mainly two new games-both of which get a meh from me (Mario Kart everyone knew was coming). and the MS one was just about as self serving as the 2006 Sony one...and showed NOTHING new at all except----OH BOY SCENE IT!!!! *sarcasm end*

Either way all three companies do have things im excited about and by the end of the year I will own all three consoles (all I need is an Xbox 360, preferably an Elite)

Indeed, the new Killzone 2 and MGS4 trailers were astonishing, absolutely gorgeous, as well as the Lost odyssey and Mass effect trailers. However, the Nintendo conference was a little dry i think, personally i was expecting more from the new Mario Kart. I liked the new Fire Emblem trailer though

I saw them all too. Sony really came out swinging this year :). Nintendo's was ok and Microsoft's...well...wasnt too interesting (although Lost Oddessy looked nice). I most definately gotta pick up a PS3 sometime soon now! Gotta play Metal Gear :), Heavenly Sword, Resident Evil 5 :), and Uncharted,in addition to Ninja Gaiden andVirtua Fighter. Damn, so many games, so little money...

Yea I agree - I thought that MS's and Nintendo's conferences were both too much about numbers, charts, sales and not enough about games. And that's why I just loved Sony's. They told us exactly what to expect this year and the next. HOME looks great, the games - fantastic. I can't wait to see what else Sony has up their sleeve.

Oh, and uh...WHO'S EXCITED FOR LITTLE BIG PLANET!? :D

I LOOOVVEEEE my ps3!!! It's excellent! I am a little sad with this pricedrop thing though.. almost wish I had have waited longer and bought an 80 instead of a 60... oh well...

I didn't manage to watch any of the conferences live, so I'll have to go back through and watch Sony's at the very least, but I was busy watching Harry Potter (I'm a huge fan but was extremely disappointed by this movie.. :( )

I think 60 gigs should be ok. But, if not, I think you can just swap it out for a larger hard-drive of your choice. I read IGN tested that out a while back and the large pc hard-drives also work with the system.

Go 60. You can put your own HDD in (as long as its a 2.5 inch SATA drive) thats much larger. also the 60GB has better Backwards compatibility (as in full) at this time since it still has the PS2 chips in it while the 80GB one is cutting it out and going for Xbox 360 style backwards compatibility which just sucks...Cronaroth

I know! :( I read that yesterday and it's got me a bit worried. I wasn't planning on getting one till early 2008. We'll see how long the 60 gigs stay in stock...
