Really? I was really shocked! GS reviews are so weird lately I didn't really know what they'd give it...regardless...Galaxy seems to be doing well overall.

To GS, if a game has the word "Mario" in it, it always gets a decent to great score for some reason :?

I bought Disgaea for my psp yesterday... and oh my!!!! I am sooo addicted!!!!!!!!! :D

Running on very low sleep... couldn't stop playing... if you don't see me posting a lot today it's because I'm playing Disgaea... no doubt.

As much as I was really enjoying FFT until I got stuck, I think Disgaea is a million times better, sorry.

Here is a simple 1 word explanation for Call of Duty 4......Amazing.

I was scared at first at how Infinity Ward would jump out of the trousers of WW2 shooters and into the camflouge pants of modern combat, but my fears are cast aside. COD4 is just awesome....

I also picked up Skies of Arcadia Legends (originally came out for the Dreamcast) for the Gamecube today, havne't tried it out yet though.

Here is a simple 1 word explanation for Call of Duty 4......Amazing.

I don't think that's 100% accurate though. I mean, I've bought almost every Zelda game but I'm no fangirl. I just like the games. And I don't think it's as bad as Madden, since Madden is exactly the same game, as where all the Zelda titles may have the same concepts, but it's not the same game. Settings change, people change, every once in a great while the villain may change and the puzzles are definitely not the same - although some may reference to other games.
Although I will say that the quality in Zelda games has declined in the recent years. I fear we may never see another Ocarina of Time. PH was great though - a breath of fresh air since the controls rock so much.

You could even maybe say the same for the Final Fantasy franchise. Although I believe FF to be a lot different every time - yet we still see the same concepts that makes FF what it is (Moogles, gil, Chocobos, summons, etc.)

That's just with the Zelda franchise though, as I can see Mario Party being Nintendo's Madden. (Do we really need 8 of them? Do we!?)

It's true - there is a fine line between making the same game over and over again and making games with the same THEME over and over again. Final Fantasy has been so successful because it has always recycled the THEME of the game and recast it with different characters, settings, villains, etc etc. Zelda has been successful because it does the same thing (although I agree - Ocarina of Time is the best ever :) Even if you look at other SE games there are lots of similarities, but each game is unique in its own way. Still, I think the reason both are successful is because there are many people out there who are trying to relive their favourite gaming experience in a new way, and really, there is nothing wrong with that. As long as you know what you're getting into. It only bothers me when people bash a game because they expect it to be the same as an old one.... I mean why else do we love SE, but the same way we love a favourite artist or author - same **** same look, but each time a new reincarnation ....ok, that's my deep moment for the day :D

The single player campaign may be short, but it has some of the best battles in the whole COD series and just because it is short doesn't mean it isn't fun because it is :lol: The story is actually involving and deep, compared to most shooters and actually makes me want to see what happens next after each mission.

But, as with every shooter nowadays, it's the online that keeps people playing them, that is why COD1 has survived so long (it's still pretty popular even 4 years later) and the online is executed very well, the c.lass system lets you choose what kind of warrior you want to be (sniper, submachine gunner, demolitions) and the "perks" you unlock to equip on your warrior make them unique and you can customize them pretty well, kinda like in a SRPG. Though, the weapons to feel kinda cheap, every submachine gun or machine gun hits and kills instantly....which is why I tend to shy away from modern warfare games, the weapons are too easy to kill with :? There is only one rifle so far (and I'm a rifler) there are more you unlock as you gain experience and go up in c/lass(like in an RPG) but just one c.lass for riflers....I don't like that.

But, you are right in that if COD4 was soley a single player game and was only 5 hours, it wouldn't be worth it most likely, but the multiplayer makes playing the single player worth it.

I'm also interested as to how COD4 would play out on the DS :lol: I know the graphics can't be anywhere near as good as its PS3/360/PC counterparts.

I've got Call of Duty 1, 2, and 4 and I didn't get the whole Orange Box, but I got Team Fortress 2 which is a game featured in the Orange Box (downloaded it off of Steam, Valve's online store thing) Those are the shooters I mainly play for PC.

Oh the orange box looks great, I can't wait for the the ps3 version(I would like to get the pc one bc it's already out but my pc sucks xD). I still busy with both Zelda PH(I finally found the ghost ship can't say more bc it might spoil it for some) and Silent Hill Origins, the game is wicked a true SH :DFenian_lostsoul

Nice. I played the first COD and was very very into the BF1942 games, especially the first one years ago. Played lots of online. What? No UT for you!! How could you! :P I swear by that game!! I really want UT3 *starts to drool* :lol:

I was thinking about just buying TF2 off of Steam but I've only played HL2, none of the episodes. So I think it'd just be best for me to go ahead and buy the Orange Box. Besides....I really wanna try Portal out.

Zelda PH finally arrived in the mail today and I love it! I am only up to the dungeon on Ember Isle and I'm stuck already! I'm terrible at Zelda games but I love them anyway. The controls are so cool and I love using the boomerang!TheManWithAPS2
