I just started this and it has been fun so far. I like the way the battles are done.

I haven't *dodges pie* heard a lot of good things *dodges another* about the game. How is it?

I spent some more time with The Witcher yesterday and it is fun. The story is more dark than other RPGs and there isn't a right or wrong answer to NPCs questions. All answers do have consequences though.

I really like the battle system. Not just random mouse clicking. You really need to keep a good timing to the sword swings.

I just need to finish Blue Dragon before I get too far in The Witcher.

I've not started ratchet and clank or assassin's creed yet.crushgoil

Both are great games! Ratchet and Clank is the one that I am farthest in and I have been liking it alot. I am just over half way through. The motion sensing was very well done and makes complete sense in the game. One change I really like for the motion sensing is the space battles. It was always so hard to use the 2 joysticks while button mashing! ;)

I got Persona 3 today and this game is addicting....I played it for about 3 hours straight (and for me, just starting out with a RPG, that is a long time). The characters are charming, likeable, and interesting. The combat is unique and gives you numerous options to combine and use Persona. The anime like graphics are pretty and the story advances in a new way that makes you keep wanting to play. By far one of the best games of 07...too bad I got it so late. Though, I'm lucky I found it at all. These SMT games are ridiculously rare....Digital DevilSaga on Amazon for $400...yeah.kryu88

Really? I've had the letter for awhile and fought her several times since and its not happened! Oh well, it'll probably happen randomly at some point.

Devil summoner was ok but I thought that the setting took away from the game itself. I loved Digital Devil Summoner (1 and 2).

Don't get me wrong: I didn't think that Devil Summoner was bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't hold a candle to any of the other SMT games that I've played (Nocturne, DDS 1 & 2 and Persona 3), some of which are among the finest RPGs I've ever played. :)

I also didn't dislike DS but I thought that the environment was very odd of a SMT game. I liked the battle system change (for the most part). I also think that part of it was the lead character. He was just not as interesting as the others.

Its not that I would not recommend the game. It just isn't as good as the rest of the series.

I totally agree that DDS 1&2, Nocturne (forgot about that one) and Persona 3 were just better. They just grabbed and held my attention much more.

The SMT games are hard to find and are out for such a short period. I had to beg a friend to let me borrow DDS1. Either that or pay $80 + USD for a new game :o

Basically every game I got for Christmas is taking a backseat to Persona 3 now. :lol: I was almost done with R&C Future too...I was only a couple hours into AC so I don't feel to bad about that. :P P3 is just so much fun though....probably the most fun I've had with a RPG since Tales of Symphonia.

And I must say, that game isn't afriad to show some blood o.o

The SMT games have always been graphic, dark, and creepy. But those are the aspects about them that make the games so interesting and fun! :D

And that's why I usually prefer those games over a lot of RPG's. :P
