[QUOTE="RuprechtMonkey"]And it's a bad game. Every review basically reviewed it as a non-game. Do you have Wii Fit? It's terrible.
And B+ is higher than 80.
ogvampire
its not a bad game. its probably not what you expect or are used to, so its no surprise that alot of 'gamers' dont like it. it doesnt have to be a game in the traditional sense. they reviewed it, they liked it, whats the problem?
yes a B+ is higher than an 80.... thats like complaining that GS gave a game an 8.5 when the average is 8.0. youre kinda nitpicking there...
That's why I'm saying this thread is pointless.
This is Jennifer Tsao we're talking about here.
She's not very good, and overrates even horribly average non-games.
That's not going to stop GS from giving it the score it deserves.
Like I said, she constantly raves about Wii Sports, as if it's the best "sports" game of all time. She would've given it an A.
Then again, Wii fanboys are all too happy to let these types of games "define" their system and tout them. "Sure they suck but they aren't really "Games" and lots of people like them, so they're awesome!"

just because you dont agree with her doesnt make her a bad reviewer... its called opinions, folks. you should look in on it...
Wow... are people truly that ignorant? FUN! :D
Mr. Bear accept ignorance only because in the end it's advantageous to his plans for world domination. However to scoff at a woman for reviewing a game and discredit her for any reason whatsoever because of her gender? Hmph... All I can say is, Mr. Bear doesn't take kindly to people that think so shallow. Even he incourages outside thinking once in a while (cause then it'd be boring to take over your world so easily) but ... RAWR! This just makes him quite ticked! A women is capable enough of reviewing a video game completely honest and proper like any "male" out there who drools over exaggerated breat effects and sizes along with scantly clad women ut there to just entertain them.
Here me, Rawr! This isn't a pro-Wii music response as even I have my doubts about this title and will likely not buy it either, but to discredit the review soley on the sex of the reviewer? Gamers are such shallow creatures. Mr. Bear will make sure you kids suffer the most with his female army of teddies out to cuddle you all to death. :D

Fixed. A 7.0 is all it needs and I'll be having a field day on a board where people were claiming it to be the worst game Nintendo's ever made.

Matt? Ok let me tell you something about Matt cuz i actually enjoy listening to the Nintendo team.
Matt has been saying for months that he was gonna give this game a crap score. He continuosly bashed the game on podcasts and directly told people not to buy that game. All this BEFORE the game actually arrived at the IGN offices, go take a look at the comments on the IGN preview, you'l see people, who like me, know what he has been doing all along and they are criticizing him for it.
The video they made for the preview was also clearly made to spread negative opinions about the game, Zelda theme with cheerleader dog and cat sound (?) being purposely butchered to incite their negative campaign.
Now, i'm not saying the game is worth an A- or not, i havent played it, i'm also not THAT interested in this game beyond wanting to rent it and give it a try, BUT using IGN's preview (in this particular case) is not a good example as they are terribly biased against the game from the start.
And saying Jenn Tsao isnt good because she likes this game and Wii Fit is incredibly fanboyish, she also like Star Wars KOTOR, Zelda, Grim Fandango, SSX, etc...
[QUOTE="Krigon"]Meh that reviewer is "the casual games" reviewer. No wonder it got -A.ogvampire
um... thats how it works. did you want her to review Gears 2 instead?
I want a gaming site where their main audience are core gamers to review games based on the same basis as all other games get reviewed.
If this would be reviewed by Shane or someone else in their crew, it would get demolished.
Jennifer Tsao only does casual gaming reviews and overrates them. Even having a casual gamer reviewer disgusts me, mostly because casual gamers don't read 1up and casual games will get just get overrated because the reviewer is just comparing it to other casual games.

Matt does have an extremely negative attitude towards this game. I mean he dismisses the game in the first sentence of the preview. I won't say if it is good or not but he needs to play the game without the bias in his head...

Well, I don't know or care about the particular inclinations of the reviewers, but I do know not to trust YOUR inclinations or your opinions, and so do many other people. Why, then, should YOUR opinion about the reviewer determine how bad or good the news is?

2.) watch this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnhLtB3n25c&feature=related

Why? Wii Music isn't going to be compared to Halo - it's going to be compared to titles in the vein of Cooking Mama and Wii Fit.
Wow, I can't wait for the GS review. It's going to be fun times in SW :lol:Zhengi
Why? The complaints about Wii Music have absolutely *nothing* to do with review scores. It could get a 10.0 and the complaints against it would remain. It's not the quality of the software people were concerned about, it's that Wii Music is the centerpiece for the Wii holiday season, when many people would rather have had a new Zelda, Starfox, Metroid, or whatnot type title.

Just look at this thread. People are attacking the reviewer because of her gender. They are attacking the game without ever having touched it. It's just deliciously hilarious. Yeah, that actually makes it look good. The gameplay looks perfectly fine. The concept is interesting, taking a song and sort of making it your own by improvising, mixing instruments and tuning the tunes, but...it sort of sounds like ****. It just falls flat on its ass due to the poor song selection and midi sounds.
You want to play real songs, and you want the instruments to sound like the real thing, not some toy. The piano and percussion sound pretty good I guess, but the guitar is a disaster. And like, who has ever been playing air guitar to stuff like "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"? I don't know if it's even technically possible to play and improvise the instruments in real songs, something everyone would consider awesome, but...Wii Music still has lame songs and midi. There doesn't really seem to be much to the game either.

Yup, it's only possible with MIDI. If a dev were to use high quality music to make such a game, it would take around 90 GBs or so. That's more than even Blu-Ray can fit.
