The reviewer is a woman -> casual gamer -> crappy-low standards -> A- score for crappy game.Yodas_Boy
a game that doesnt appeal to you -> a score that you dont agree with -> sky is falling...

1up gave "We Ski" an A. The exact same score as last year's GOTY finalists "Super Mario Galaxy" and "Call of Duty 4".
This goes to show that their review scores are completely inconsistent and unreliable.

Actually, wouldn't that show they're consistent? Unreliable though, I would absolutely agree with - as if you compare Wii Music to other game software on the market, it certainly doesn't offer nearly the same value its $50 price tag implies it should. I could care less about review scores, my opinion remains the same, 1up give it a 9.0, "hooray", IGN gives it a 5.0 "uh-oh", y'know, who cares? It shouldn't have been the focus game in the first place - THAT is the problem.
Again though, there only appears to be one real "Wii Music" supporter in this entire thread, so it's not really relevant. Hopefully that will simply drill further into people that the "gospel of review score" is stupid. People so like to cheer for them when they go their way, then turn around and whine when they don't. Whereas, I frankly feel review scores don't mean much *all* of the time. And yet they call me a hypocrit for maintaing a belief .... judge for yourself on that one.

Long story short - Wii Music is upsetting because of what it is - not because of its quality, and well, it's a damn shame to see it as the centerpiece of the Wii holiday lineup.

Why is it upsetting? There are PLENTY of games to play this fall and winter, too many.

again you go about how quality is irrelevant. News flash, the reason why this game is hated so much is because of it's quality. The idea itself is ambitious and like it or not.... people actually responded to the idea in a positive way, only to find out the package is half baked.Why is it upsetting? In terms of "games worth the price tag" coming to the Wii I've seen two maybe three candidates through the end of the year - the rest are filler, they're not worth the price tag compared to the superior offerings on other systems. I own many systems - it's about the *games* - they don't get excused because they're on the Wii. I'm not going to praise Mushroom Men because "it's a good game ... well by Wii standards". Doesn't cut it - Mario Galaxy was a good game by *all standards* - and that's where I judge.

Nintendo's holiday lineup of quality titles for core gamers is sparse. It's absolutely frustrating as a fan of clas sic Nintendo that Wii Music is their focus title. Animal Crossing shouldn't be the only quality choice on the shelf - I want to have so many *quality* core games (not filler) that I cannot possibly play them all. That hasn't happened on the Wii in its entire lifespan, let alone in one season.
