4K Gaming..........Teh Future

Let's see them manage to support 1080p before we start fantasizing.

This.  I don't see 4K becoming a reality until 2 gens from now.  Seriously, that requires a ton more power and they struggle to pull off 1080P.  give me a break.

My main concern when buying PC hardware is the power consumption, sure you can have a HD7990 nad have it sound like a jet taking off but not for me. Thr HD7850 is bad enough for me. I was really pressed going over 120watts because i know the fan noise would become an issue.

I have a GTX560 Ti, so according to that chart (which I see I don't even make it to) I would get even less frame rate as the Kennedy assassination film which is 8fps. Time to upgrade. FoxbatAlpha

Why would anyone pay $140 for a GTX 560 Ti when you can get a 650 Ti Boost for $150m3Boarder32

Its not uncommon at all for the dual fan 560s to got for $130-140 while the single fan (stock) cooler version go for around $120

Lock if old. MS has stated that this will be the console for the next 10 years. In this life cycle 1080p may become a thing of the past and 4K may become the norm. This article discusses how 4k gaming will be supported on the X1 and not on the PS4. I don't know how they plan on doing this but it seems interesting. Yes the PS4 will support 4K but only for pictures and video that was recorded in 4K.
