Well, I don't think it's one of the best looking games, it's not graphics king, it's not unmodded king, I'm not losingends. So what did you want me to pick?>2 people voted terrible
seriously? it was put there for a joke
HaloinventedFPS
The textures are like a kick in the nuts, and it's a sorta dully colored game.
Looks exacrtly like on 360 with a bit crisper image
0.001% difference maybe
Of course 360 is a beast in graphics, so that is a good thing

Such denial and damage control...
1080p/60fps vs 540p
16xAF 8xAA vs no AA
Alan Wake is not a bad looking game..... but graphics king.... nope! sry.... I love it btw, one of my favorite games of this gen.
Will pick up the PC version during Steams Summer Sale

This made me LOL HARD!! good one
It made me lol too. :Peverytime TC makes a topic about graphics it's filled with about 30 pics. His Skyrim one was the same until he deleted 3/4 of them
For anyone who is curious as to how the game runs. It's absolutely fantastic. I have it maxed out Easily.

Yeah me too. Everything completely maxed out and I rarely go below 45 fps on a 560Ti. Most times Im hovering between 55 - 60 fps.

I didn't know that! He must be quite notorious here in System Wars.[QUOTE="Animal-Mother"]

Ya I have a 6950 Vsync on or off? This game has always had bad graphics - even since its launch on the 360. Trying to say it has good graphics on PC now is just a joke. There are games that look extraordinarily better and came out half a decade ago.
EDIT: Seriously, I'm ashamed of System War's eyesight. One of the best looking games? Lolwut? Where have you guys been? There's a very long list of better looking games.

Ya I have a 6950 Vsync on or off?always off. The tearing is far less annoying than the input lag. But thanfully there is minimal tearing.
6950 should be pretty similar so

Just cos some look better doesn't mean this looks terrible. I think it looks great. the textures and character models are pretty bad but the lighting is almost unmatched. And the scenery is amazing with some decent level design.
If it got a little bit more of a polish for PC it would look great but it's far from really bad

The resolution alone is 442% bigger, but the troll mathematics you use suggest that 0.001% = 442%
It looks sweet, the graphics not that much. However, I was interested on this for story and gameplay only, the graphics were secondary.

I can think of quite a few games with far better and more realistic lighting. The VERY obvious one being Uncharted 3. God of War 3, and killzone 3 also come to mind . Battlefield 3 as well. And in all honesty, beneath all the bloom and fog effects, the graphics in Alan Wake are actually pretty mediocre. ..and even you know it deep down inside . There are MANY better looking PC/ps3 exclusive games out there. Although, I guess it did look good FOR A 360 GAME at the time lol
It looks like...a 360 game running at higher resolution. Meh.

most PC games are just 360 games running at a higher resolution, your point is?

all games you mentioned have terrible textures thanks to consoles limits, all of them hide behind lighting
who cares
I thought that the story was a nonsensical and poorly executed mess lol. And I found the gameplay to be really repetitive and boring. Its like Luigi Mansion minus the fun. Not my thing, but for the people that did actually enjoy it. Have fun I guess. I rather not bother with this lackluster game again. Being able to play it ( alan wake) at a higher resolution isn't going to fix all the significant problems deep at the core of this disappointing game.It looks sweet, the graphics not that much. However, I was interested on this for story and gameplay only, the graphics were secondary.

You must not be talking about Killzone 3, because that game had insanely detailed textures. And its funny because Alan Wake has even worse textures then all those aforementioned games too[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="Animal-Mother"]

The only thing to care about in Alan Wake is the phenominal characters and story and environment - game is like playing through a Stephen King novel.

Tearing is far less annoying than low frames or input lag
PC version also has 8xAA and 16xAF. It has better lighting and shadows with better godrays. And it has better LOD and draw distance. It's not just a resolution bump. But the textures are a bit low in resolution and the normal maps are pretty bad in some places. It looks like...a 360 game running at higher resolution. Meh.

Let's hope that they might actually provide some mod tools. they said they might if people wanted them.
