A typical mulitplat with "1280x720, low-medium settings, 25-30fps", looks and play really bad(compared to pc) on console, on the other hand playing a game with "1920x1200, max settings, 60fps" looks and play much better.
Now Alan Wake on xbox is unplayable for someone that is used to play at high resolution.960x544 vs 1920x1200 than is 442% bigger resolution (and that doesn't even include better shadows, SSAO, draw distance, godray quality, etc)

In reality it doesn't work out that way.
Everything on the 360 is output in 1080 upscale, it looks alot better than the native low rez.
Technically it is just a visual trick, but the result in the right dev hands is excellent.
When I played it on 360, I didn't even think it was low rez, the game looked excellent, and in motion it looks alot better than the screenshots.
Ultimately the production of the 360 game is focused around the controller, everything from the camera angle to the aspect ratio is made for a controller, whereas on PC this is probably an afterthought.
So it's basically higher native rez, but you lose out on the native controller scheme.
Alot of people will pretend using a controller on a PC is the same, but it never feels right, feels like controlling a tank.
Buy the game and enjoy it, but don't pretend you're getting a better experience because you're not.
You're getting a taste of the superior games we enjoy on a regular basis.
Except you're getting it with all the headaches of PC gaming, the upgrading and troubleshooting, insecurity of buying things on DD, inability to rent, inability to share games with friends, the poor couchability, etc etc.
You're trading all that for a native higher rez vs an upscaled one.
Name something GOOD that come out for PC exclusively in the last 5 years that isn't an RTS or MMO. Uh huh. You can't because there's nothing good.
You're willfully missing out on the good stuff in exchange for platform loyalty.
You could be playing something like Alan Wake every month, instead you are stuck playing garbage games like WoW. You already known you won't be getting the next Ghost Recon, and you'll be lucky if you get the next Max Payne and GTA 5.
^The damage control goes strong here.i bet it is makes you feel sad that your system lost an exclusive and on top of that the pc gets the superior version graphics and gameplay wise.
Now let's go to the facts:
960x544 upscale to 1080 or 2560x1600 will not improve anything it will continue to look exactly like 960x544.
also the pc version have better gameplay because it have 60fps and control scheme of your choices (k/b + controller), for me k/m is much better for this type of games because it provide better control is more accurate and more fluid.
also in pc version their is an option to remove the HUD to improve the immersion.
do you realise the controller on a PC is the same? and if you have 60fps it is even better.
now go play on your little console with the significant inferior version of mulitplats and less exclusives than pc.
Its funny hwo some console fanboys act like PC cannot use a 360 controller if you want lmao.
I just played an hour on pc version with wired 360 controller. Haters keep digging themselves bigger holes
PC version of Alan Wake steamroles the 360 version, anyone who owns both versions and it not a blind fanboy will say that.
