Alan Wake not HD!

Same thing happened with Quaz51 and he was right. Although he was using a decent quality 720p as source for the pixel counting. Currently leaning more towards 'true' since this guy has experience doing this kind of stuff.

The game still looks amazing. Just my two cents on the matter.

The difference is Quaz51 had a copy of the game and did his own buffergrab using his own setup.

This pixel count is based on a screengrab of a video that was encoded at 960x540(notice the similarity between the video encoding and the "resolution"????)

The pixel count is accurate for the image given. Doesn't make the image that was given accurate.

if remedy says it runs in 720p with 4xMsaa, then that's the resolution the game runs in, the fact that the cows are doing so much damage control confirms that this game looks awesome, not that it matters, like i said before, Ps3 owners can keep there pretty, but ultimately, totally linear games,SONY is behind the times, sandbox games are in, linear games are out of fashion, the PS3 probably couldn't run a sandbox game with the same level of graphics as AW or reach, especially with 200 AIdelta3074

Sorry to destroy PS3 fanboy happiness, the video is the only non hd thing about the game, which runs in full proper 720p, confirmed by the 10.000x cripser and smoother actual in game pics below (with HUD, not bullshots like Uncharted 2 pics)

Well, pics prove the video was downscaled abd CRAP, so your card has nothing to do with the facts that the "test" is fake

No that deleterguy wrote "germans with there crappy hardware" which is a generalization. Just because videogameszone.de didn't capture it right doesn't mean all Germans do it.

The devs themselves said it runs in 720p i tend to believe them in this matter.

BTW these games should not be compared, Alan Wake has a vast area you can move in and explore (and get a car for that), day/night cycles, moving shadows in real time, stunning water and some of the best lighitng in the industry, so why even compare to a game that plays on a strict path ????

Why are people calling this graphics king?? compared to uncharted 2, gow3, heavy rain and killzone 2 this game looks terrible in every way, theres no way this game is going to become the next king, its technically impossible.ThePsTriple
