Is Crysis 2 in DX 11 with the Maldo's hd-texture pack -way superior than the own Crytek texture pack-. But I still think that overall Crysis 1 looks better and Battlefield 3 has a clean edge over Crysis 1 and 2, even modded ones.

1) Trying to say that you would be able to run Uncharted 3 on 8600 GT is epic fail and shows extreme ignorancy to the specifics of console hardware. Damn, couldnt even read through half the thread..... Crysis 2 is a very shiny game on PC. Its a shame that the game itself is garbage. On consoles, the only thing it did especially well was the 3D mode, it layered the end of the rifle and the scope on different plains, making the 3D of very good quality imho. Its a shame that the game itself was still garbage. The lesson here? Make a good game, then make it shiny. Dont make a shiny game that is crap.BibiMaghoo

That's it exactly. One of the reasons i tend to think TW2 or BF3 are better is subconciously im thinking that im having more fun actually playing them. So I think I sway towards them more even though C2 can look phenomenal

lol no there's a good difference between 720 vs 1080 even with multiplats designed for consoles first and what upscaling does to ruin them.

What quality improvements does 1080p offer in none graphically advanced games? This image compares the quality offered in 720p upscaled to 1080p (typical console display image), vs native 1080p resolution.

nope on the consoles the texture quality is low

pc does up to ultra textures makes crysis 2 on max textures look like crap.

duke nukem forever textures look good out of the box on the pc max settings.

crysis 2 textures look horrible out of the box and need install a patch for higher res textures and even then still dont look as good upclose as duke nukem forevers.

duke nukem forever has better level design than that crappy ass crysis 2 thats for sure.

^Proof that Duke Nukem is the almightly god-game and deserves more respect. Those textures are even better than TW2 and Crysis.

And that's just multiplayer, imagine single player, the textures in SP are probably 100000x better.

Why do you need high res texture pack? lol because the out of box textures suck compared to DNF.
