It's because Crytek messed up. At least, they were responsible enough to own up and make an attempt to correct it.

i could find better street textures in DNF but i think that proves it's close enough even with that texture.

The pig cops in DNF are one of the funnest enemys to fight in any modern shooter they're use cover hide behind stuff or they bum rush you and leap kangaroo into ur face and start punching you they're fast that's why they fun.

Because I don't have screenshots of my own off hand to post. Just because they are not mine does not make them less credible. And if Duke was shrunk that doesn't mean the textures should change, if anything they should still look as great as you say because you are closer to them. The duke pic I used is your screenshot not mine.

i own both games crysis 2 has **** textures out of the retail package.

the mirrors in crysis 2 are just grey dont even show reflections nice lack of detail.

Have you played the game in dx11? Crysis 2 has reflections on basically everything with a specular map.

That remains to be seen. If you can post a variety of environments in DNF and they look good, I may buy the game. I don't mind derivative gameplay. That's why I still play older games like Doom 3.

cryengine 3 is more just copy and paste level designers didnt need as much skill to build the levels than DNF either.

duke nukem forever even though engine isnt as advanced out of retail package textures are better and level design is better.

i erased the screenshot because i was using FXAA which is crappy post processing AA and i could see jaggies everywhere crappy console anti aliasing i was gonna turn on super sampling.

crysis 2 is a piece of crap it's just street textures with buildings in the background with overdone hdr and colors.

it's easier to make a game look good when levels so simple.

Variety in levels has nothing got to do with graphical fidelity. That's just a stupid statement to make. Cohesiveness and consistency are some of the cornerstones to great graphics.

And graphics are not just what you see on screen but they are also the technical side too and Crysis 2 is way more technical than DNF. And GS said C2 was graphics king not me, I don't agree with it because that belongs to BF3 or TW2.

Also what the hell is up with that S**tty screenshot you took of C2. Its incredibly blurry and extremely small. Its not even an HD screen. Stop trolling with awful pics trying to make th game look bad
