[QUOTE="farhan007"][QUOTE="Overthrow"][QUOTE="JPOBS"][QUOTE="TekkenMaster606"]They're multiplatform.
The term console exclusive is damage control used to eliminate a platform to create some kind of illusionary first place to claim ownage over other console fans.
Overthrow
its not completely invalid though.pc gaming is a small market. console exclusivity is very important considering nintendo, microsoft and sony are not competing with pcs.
in truth, its a double edged blade. a game is not exclusive period if it can be found elsewhere. conversely, the denial of the importance of console exclusivity is damage control also.
That's ridiculous. PC gaming is a larger market than any of the current gen consoles, none of which have sold much more than 10 million. There are PC games that have sold more than that (the Sims, for example).
see thats the problem... there are more than ONE type of pc... There are thousands of combinations of pc's out there. The sims didnt require a high end pc to run it, thus almost everyone in america had a pc that could run the game. Now tell me how pc's are out there compared to 360's and ps3's that can run crysis smoothly?
More than enough, considering consoles aren't even close to being able to run Crysis. If you're going to compare specs, compare the number of PCs that can play 360 or PS3 games. Quite a lot, I would think.
i doubt it....
First and for most... FEW people are buying pc's now a days. They are buying notebooks... ON TOP OF THAT, your average consumer is going to click the intel extreme graphics option for their notebook instead of the nvidia or ati card. And last... go to a setting where you would see plenty of casuals or non gamers.... For example i currently work at radio shack... My fellow employees and I always have casual conversations about video games, sports, girls etc.... They know about halo 3, they know about the games on the ps3 and the 360, but they have no damn clue what the hell hellgate london is or what crysis is(two of the biggest games comming for the pc). They also have no damn clue what direct x 10 is.
There are more casuals than hardcore gamers and none of the care a rats ass what crysis is or what direct x 10 is. If you think pc gaming is a bigger industry you FAIL. Its all about supply and demand, and walking into a eb games store you can see the demand for pc gaming(virtualy NONE). There is literally ONE SHELF of pc games and accesories.
