this is awesome, its basically Deus Ex original on massive awesome juice.

So what makes this not consolized?
Yangire
The menus looked somewhat over-crowded. Maybe that's what he's referring to
What determines whether a game has become consolized or not? I hear people talking about the games being dumbed down but i need some examples to see for myself

Wasdie
Better question.. what makes it consolized?
Looks just as diverse as the original.
that is my point, jsut look at the upgrade tree, and all the hacking stuff, looks absolutely awesome.

Regenerating health, instakill melee attacks, popamole gameplay, and level scaling. I bet I could think of more if I was actually following this game.
I also heard the levels are more linear, but I don't care enough to look for a source.

It has no Lockpicks/Multitools, At least they kept the way your hold and combine weapons together.

Really? Well that´s a damn shame...The only thing you did is prove that it is butchered with dumbing down for the consoles. This game has nothing on the original Deus Ex if anything it is the bastard child of the series.

you do realize that not only did you not counter his argument right?
if you were not ready to counter argue why did you create a thread about the consolization of Deus Ex?

Really? Well that´s a damn shame...Yeah, according to the Dev's they removed them to make hacking "More important and deeper" so Multitool and the Lockpicks had to go.
That would be invisible war. From what I've seen HR is a perfect combination of what made the original so good, and the fresh elements that would appeal to modern gamers. The only thing you did is prove that it is butchered with dumbing down for the consoles. This game has nothing on the original Deus Ex if anything it is the bastard child of the series.

It´s the last streamlining step, first you had multis and lockpicks, then only multis, now you get none.[QUOTE="loadedboon"]That would be invisible war. No invisible war is now promoted to the sisterthe series the new Dues Ex game is just a product of incest between the original and invisible war.

Lockpicks and multitools were kinda crap in the original anyway. You just stood there pressing a button to expend X amount of them until hey presto! The lock/device pops open. A skill based minigame would be better imo.[QUOTE="Ikuto_Tsukiyomi"][QUOTE="Arach666"] Really? Well that´s a damn shame...

I won't miss out on anything since I can play the game the way its meant to be played aka Deus Ex.
You seem to have low standards that's fine but don't go around spreading lies that the game is deep and complex because it isn't.
It was made with consoles in mind and they don't mix well with deep and complex gameplay.

Unless like Bioshock you can specialise in lock picking which would make it much easier... That'd be good.[QUOTE="NaveedLife"]

looks like it has the art style of fear
edinsftw
Really? It reminds me of Perfect Dark 64 :).
The enemies almost look exactly like the enemies from fear and the gunplay looks like it has the same feel.
Is that a Pro or a con? I've played a small ammount of fear. But Not enough to understand if the gunplay was bad. I found it nice.

im not saying the game is a "bastard child", people are making comments as if they played the game And im saying from the looks of the trailer the game looks awesome. People it seems jus dont want to enjoy the game based on its own merits they have to jsut whine and complain about everything and then say "waaa its consolized becasue im butthurt and waaa and waa" i mean really.

It was good, when fear came out it was awsome. It didnt have regenerating health so it was also awsome.

Now, i consider Deus Ex to be one of THE greatest games of all times, i always have the game on my HDD, playing it from time to time, using various mods.
But don't be quick to judge Deus Ex: HR, very foolish thing to do, since you haven't played it, neither is it released yet so we could dwelve a bit into its features, which i doubt we have a basic understanding at this point.. Wait, a little longer.

LBP (the level of customization in this game is mind blowing)
