And some people thought Deus Ex:HR was going to be "consolized"

It looks good as a FPS title but I feel like it's lacking something as a Deus Ex title.

Better question.. what makes it consolized?

Looks just as diverse as the original.

The menus looked somewhat over-crowded. Maybe that's what he's referring to

What determines whether a game has become consolized or not? I hear people talking about the games being dumbed down but i need some examples to see for myself

Regenerating health, instakill melee attacks, popamole gameplay, and level scaling. I bet I could think of more if I was actually following this game.

I also heard the levels are more linear, but I don't care enough to look for a source.

The only thing you did is prove that it is butchered with dumbing down for the consoles. This game has nothing on the original Deus Ex if anything it is the bastard child of the series.

I get a Blade Runner (movie) vibe from it.

Also, could the PC version be the new graphics kind? 'Cause damn it looks pretty damn slick.

I will wait to play the real game to see if it has been consolized or not. I am expecting the same amount of freedom of the first (Being able to go fully stealth, literally more than 5 ways to finish a level)

Yeah, according to the Dev's they removed them to make hacking "More important and deeper" so Multitool and the Lockpicks had to go.

That would be invisible war. From what I've seen HR is a perfect combination of what made the original so good, and the fresh elements that would appeal to modern gamers.

It´s the last streamlining step, first you had multis and lockpicks, then only multis, now you get none.

No invisible war is now promoted to the sisterthe series the new Dues Ex game is just a product of incest between the original and invisible war.

Lockpicks and multitools were kinda crap in the original anyway. You just stood there pressing a button to expend X amount of them until hey presto! The lock/device pops open. A skill based minigame would be better imo.

I dont think I have ever enjoyed lock picking in a game. It feels like unneccessary punishment when you don thave them, and its not fun to do.

You seem to have low standards that's fine but don't go around spreading lies that the game is deep and complex because it isn't.

It was made with consoles in mind and they don't mix well with deep and complex gameplay.

Unless like Bioshock you can specialise in lock picking which would make it much easier... That'd be good.

im not saying the game is a "bastard child", people are making comments as if they played the game And im saying from the looks of the trailer the game looks awesome. People it seems jus dont want to enjoy the game based on its own merits they have to jsut whine and complain about everything and then say "waaa its consolized becasue im butthurt and waaa and waa" i mean really.

Now, i consider Deus Ex to be one of THE greatest games of all times, i always have the game on my HDD, playing it from time to time, using various mods.

But don't be quick to judge Deus Ex: HR, very foolish thing to do, since you haven't played it, neither is it released yet so we could dwelve a bit into its features, which i doubt we have a basic understanding at this point.. Wait, a little longer.

Better question.. what makes it consolized?

Looks just as diverse as the original.

blitzcloud

that is my point, jsut look at the upgrade tree, and all the hacking stuff, looks absolutely awesome.

You probably would/did ( insert sexual ecstasy here ) when you saw FFX tree?

not a fan of Final fantasy after 6.

Like I said it is made with consoles in mind so I don't need to wait to know how the game will turn out.

Yeah consoles never have deep gameplay or anything good on them .

Name me one console game with deep and complexgameplay?

Baten Kaitos 1 and 2

The World Ends With You

Bad Company 2 (I play it on PC though)

Metal Gear Solid 4 (a lot of choices of sneaking, going rambo, tons of guns...sound like anything else?)

LBP (the level of customization in this game is mind blowing)

GT5

Do I need to name more?

Yes because all the games you mentioned are neither deep or complex

No it would be to much for you to handle since you think fire emblem is deep and complex.

No offence though :)
