Another ps3 multiplat title bites the dust: 360/ps3 Mafia 2 demo comparison pics

I know these are just the demos but still people this is just embarrassing for the PS3. I mean the difference in the grass really jumps in your face. Also from what I'm hearing on the 2k forums it has poor shadows and overall the PS3 version is a pixelated mess compared to the cleaner 360 version.

Seriously if you own both a 360 and ps3 I really don't see how anyone could spend their hard earned 60 bucks on the watered down ps3 version. People can make fun of grass, foliage all they want but for me personally it's the little things...the little things man that make the difference for me. You must admit the differences really do stick out like a sore thumb...or in this case a green thumb :lol:

anyone else feel the ps3 version looks better? the colors are more vibrant, but i was still going to pass on this game.

Looks the same, except that the maintenance man cut the grass prior to you playing the ps3 version.

And after looking at it again, the ps3 version does look better like another poster said. The colors are better, the trees in the one pick looks better (more fuller), and also the guys jacket and pants look alot better in the top pic for the ps3 version. Also notice that container next to the car in the top pic, its alot clear and more detailed aswell in the ps3 version. Heck you can make out the roof top of that far off house in the top pic aswell for the ps3, which in the 360 version it looks like a white blob.

But the maintenance man did cut the grass though lol.

As much as you want to make yourself feel good I hate to break it to you but there IS a difference and as far as that exclusive mission stuff goes I see that as nothing more than a bone thrown to the dogs....uuumm I mean cows to make up for the poor graphical quality compared to the 360 and PC. I can live without the extra missions and I wouldn't be surprised if it was released for the 360 later down the line.

...and it's not just the grass. I hear that it has poor shadows and is overall very pixelated with really bad frame rate hiccups.

I cant believe some ppl are saying that they see on diference! I havent seen a bigger diference in a long time!!!

This reminds me of RDR, maybe the PS3 does have a harder time running open world games?

Also notice the brick work in the ps3 version on the road in the 2nd pic. That is alot more detailed than the 360 version of the brick work. The brick pattern is right over the guys left shoulder in that pic.

Wow is this how people spend their time? the game runs and looks beautiful these comparisons are so ridiculous, seriously the grass, i'm sure there are areas where the ps3 looks better and i'm sure they are areas where the 360 looks better, but who cares the game was pretty fun. Grass, man system wars has become a joke now, but then again in resident evil 5 i remember it was a dirt pipe that was compared between the 360 and ps3, TC you go ahead and get the 360 version because the grass isn't to your liking, but guys are you really harping on the grass, this is sooo crazy, i'm sorry but man, the grass? wow

It is obviously fake, there is no way 360 has all that grass and PS3 has none, that would be the most huge difference in a game ever, it is just not true

Grass adds vertices and much bigger bandwidth is necessary thus ps3 version looking the way it looks.

in another video comparison i thought the versions (PS3 & 360) looked really close... however both looked really bad compared to PC..

Note to Sony : Exclusive DLC is all well and good.But when PS3 mutiplats are still noticeably inferior 4 years on,AND you expect your customers to pay the same amount as 360 owners for said inferior product,well thats just lame.

i have to laugh at the DC in this thread, 'it's only a slight difference' really? seriously? the whole ******* lawn is missing, in nearly all multiplats the differences are hardly noticable, but this iw worse than RDR, seems to me the Ps3 version needs all the exclusive DLC it can get just to make this game on par with the 360 version, this has got to be the hugest difference seen in a multiplat since bayonetta,loldelta3074
