Shit post aside, I'd be both surprised and happy if MS has a better showing. Sonys showing didn't floor me, but relative to how those things usually go, it was pretty damn good.
At the very least, will be better than that recent PC gaming show for sure.
MS should 1up Sony at the intro. Lead in with Skyrim to counter Sony starting with GTA5.

@sakaixx: how does what MS do affect Sony? MS wasn't competitive this gen and Sony had one of their best gens ever. Don't understand this reasoning.
When PS3 did badly Sony releases some of the best game of its gen alongside then a really good subscription option in PS+, online is free on PS3 btw but PS+ offerings and game discount was quite attractive so getting it was a no brainer. So Xbox being competitive will hopefully make Sony more consumer friendly with its offerings.
I personally think some games on Sony side is a bit formulaic this gen. I love Horizon like the next person and the games are really damn good but they need a bit of maybe innovate more. I kinda miss when Sony publishes unique games like Puppeteer, Tokyo Jungle, JRPGs and even experimental games like MAG. Sony were more adventurous last gen.
Only thing Sony is scared of is releasing too many AAA exclusive heavy hitters too close to one another where there is potential to overshadow one of their exclusives.
A company that doesn't win generations, has no exclusives, has gotten their asses handed to them for several years by Sony is supposed to....make Sony afraid?

If your a one system fanboy then of course you would think Sony’s show was better because you are emotionally attached but as a real console gamer with both systems and with no unhealthy feelings towards my tv,toaster or gaming machine then MS may show more games I’m interested in,and thru gamepass I can play the ones I’m on the fence about without a huge outlay

The series X has 16CU bigger GPU checo alone on PC what that equate un price difference,sure MS and sony dont pay the same amount you pay but still one GPU will cost more than the other.
You mean the show that everyone praised over MS' previous trainwreck show that they had to apologize for? Yeah, I don't think sony is worried at all. In fact there are rumors that Sony's going to reveal prices and release dates a week or two before MS's event.

Depends on how much Microsoft is gonna be focused on the Xbox division. Are they gonna go all in or are they just gonna throw that division under the bus like Mixer if they don't see a good return in two years time.

Clearing some miscommunication for a single game is not the same as having a whole show having to be apologized for because it looked like a glorified zoom meeting with next to no gameplay reveals.
I thought Sony's presentation was strong. Their lower predicted output though I imagine could be price related, or could be Covid related for economic reasons.
I imagine if Sony is worried about anything it might be mainly price related. Neither company has been compelled to announce price first. I am sure neither wants to take more of a loss than they have to but also don't want to price with room for other to undercut them.
I would imagine they are less concerned about Series S price than they are about Series X pricing, since that will be the system they'll need to price the PS5 relative to.
I would imagine what they'd be most worried about with price is MS pricing the Series X at $400. I don't think MS wants to do it but I also think they don't want to give Sony room to undercut them.
Even if that were the case, sure Sony would still perform better in worldwide market, but they could potentially lose ground in their share of the market.
@Zero_epyon: Neither show had huge swathes of actual gameplay. Most of what Sony showed was pre rendered "gameplay", difference was ms made the mistake of saying they would show gameplay, while sony didn't.....or did you think the ratchet and clank vid was real time gameplay?
