Exactly. Yes, one day I'll get a PS4, when it has more games, but nothing replaces the PC.

I think I'm not gonna upgrade my PC for a while and I have a Phenom 2 and a 460 - I have to run a lot of games on mediumish settings already to get them at 60 fps. PS4 for $400 is a great deal and I'm planning on buying one a year or so from now.

No, not really. I'd prefer to simply upgrade my computer. I'll probably pick up a PS4 after it's been out for around four years, gone down in price, and accumulated a decent selection of exclusives. The only PS4 exclusive I find remotely interesting at the moment is Resogun. Killzone? Bleh. Deep Down? Capcom :roll: Infamous? Not interesting enough to warrant a purchase. Maybe in a few years, but not now.

Exclusives aside, there is NOTHING you can do with a console that a PC cant do the same or better.

I made the original comment and that was never the point at all.  It was part of a response to an ignorant consolite trying to paint all PC gamers as being hunched over some crappy screen with mono sound.  Obviously not the case.  

When I say "exclusives aside" I'm not dismissing them, to the contrary, I'm saying exclusives are what make the consoles stand apart.  They're what make consoles worth owning.  ASIDE from that the PC is the most flexible platform.  You can upgrade as much as you want, when you want.  You can choose whichever controller or control method that suits you or suits the game you're playing.  You can have a desktop set up, or you can have it on the big screen with a controller if you like.  The list goes on and on of course, but the point is that you're not limited by a closed system.

I'm not ragging on consoles at all, thats were I do most of my gaming (personal preference, I grew up on consoles and their exclusive franchises), but its a fact that a PC can either match or exceed everything that a console can do.

Been PC gaming for a few years now and i'm fed up with it. I'm definitely ditching it completely and riding with next-gen consoles for my gaming needs -- the downsides of PC gaming really aren't worth the headaches.

As for me, since I have both PS4 and X1 preordered, I'll just get various multiplats on PC and on a rare occassion an exclusive, but I will definitely shift my gaming towards consoles a lot more.

Lol nope.  PC gaming is doing great.  Also as usual I have both PC and console - so my bases are covered.  No need to "jump" anywhere.  Silly SW not thinking that is a reasonable option.
