Arguing against PC = POINTLESS

Why is EXTREMELY POINTLESS..??Most of the PC games they don't look better than Uncharted 2 and God of War 3.Only a few games on the PC looks better....like Crysis.AtariKidX

I am just trying to make a ridiculous example of how taking only the best of the best screen caps can be very misleading...

and if a game came out tomorrow... that even the best computers couldnt run on the lowest settings.... im sure, somewhere out there... some guy would bring his PC into a freezer, grab a couple impossible shots at an unplayable 1fps... post em online, and people on gamespot would be using them. :P

i have a $600 graphics card (8800gtx) and my screenshots generally arent horribly impressive....

You gotta remember the majority of pc gamers arent gaming on a PC that was built this very day... some like myself spent $600 around the time of the PS3 launch on their gpu, and the graphics arent night and day in comparison to some games.

Alright so every thread I go about PC is just "PC IS THE BEST FACT" and "PC EXCLUSIVES R DA BEEEST" and "*Post Crysis pic* WIN" and "PC GRAPHICS ARE SO AMAZING" and "KEYBOARD AND MOUSE R DA BEST!!!! FACT!" and then another 10 hermits agree on these and post 30 pics of pc exclusives. If the PC is the BEST in EVERY aspect(SUPPOSEDLY FACT), then why even discuss about it in SW. If you like consoles more than PCs you will get shot down by every hermit on the forum and that's it, noone can win an argument against the PC

So if the PC is the best then arguing about it isEXTREMELY POINTLESS

I prefer the PS3 over the PC, okay? I don't own one right now, sure, but I would pick a PS3 over any gaming PC(even if it was $5000). The only reason I was on the PC side was because of how stupid the comparison was.

I think people tend to believe that higher resolution makes for better graphics. Potentially yes, but most of those pc screens just posted look terrible. Sure they are sharp, but the geometry is just plain lousy.

You do know that all of that is based on how linear the game is right? With less places to explore, the less the devs have to create in terms of detail, so they can focus more on the areas that the player can actually go in.

However, Stalker is a pretty open world, so if the devs went and detailed everything like mad it would have taken them a decade.

Well those Stalker screens are honestly the most lousy, inconsistent screenshots I've seen, recently. I'm fully aware the pc is more than capable than any console available, but lord, those screens look garbage.
