Because you don't have a good HDTV.On my HDTV it looks like those photos.But notice also that if you don't adjust correct the picture settings then it really can make a good game to look very bad.

You do know that all of that is based on how linear the game is right? With less places to explore, the less the devs have to create in terms of detail, so they can focus more on the areas that the player can actually go in.

However, Stalker is a pretty open world, so if the devs went and detailed everything like mad it would have taken them a decade.

You do know that all of that is based on how linear the game is right? With less places to explore, the less the devs have to create in terms of detail, so they can focus more on the areas that the player can actually go in.

It's not me that's finding most of the flaws. But, I am playing the game on a 32" 720p TV at a res of 1280x768. The only one I noticed were the flat textures underneath the transport which are noticable from certain viewing angles like the one I posted.

Stalker even looks better in motion.

It's in my list of best looking games that easily surpass anything on consoles.

Metro 2033, ARMA2, Mafia 2, Stalker games, ME games on PC etc all look better then U2 and GOW3
