[QUOTE="Bread_or_Decide"] Did you guys REALLY just want another hum drum platformer? Think about how boring that would've been.
ESPECIALLY after mario galaxy.
fishfake
in banjo the solved that problem by getting specific moves, so why not make new ,funny and original moves+ HD graphics+ good new puzzles ?
How much more origanl can you get then building your own vehicles to collect things? People need to stop vrying and just wait and play it before you judge it. Every preview from Banjo said it was great.
"Rare would need to do something special to win over a skeptic public. At the end of the day, it was easy to read the smiling faces of the other visitors: This is the game that we've been waiting for Rare to deliver since being bought by Microsoft."-IGN
"Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts is looking like Microsoft's first real success in expanding its first party offerings beyond the action and shooter genres. This is a game that all gamers can get behind. "-IGN
Those are some really great compliments for the game. People are not being open minded and trying to see what RARE is creating. This is not a "TRADITIONAL" platformer but it's still a platforming game. Instead of learning new moves to accomplish certain missions or collect certain peices, RARE is give you the tool' to CREATE your own way figuring out how to collect things.
This is what makes the game much deeper than just learning a new move that "THEY" implemented for you to complete a mission. For example, Instead od doing a backflip onto a high platform to collect a jiggy, you can creat a Pogostick or Launch off a ramp, then part from it in mid air and glide towards the jiggy. Fot those who keep saying it's a racing game need to seriously take off their RARE hate goggles. RARE said that this game is NOT a racing game. Sure there may be some mission where you may race. Just like in Mario Galaxy where you ride the sting ray, or race the ghost threw the galaxy to get the star, or race on the turtle shell under water. It's the SAME thing.
At first I was a bit skeptical and kind of dissapointed as well, but then I tried to look at it with an open mind and realized that potential and concept they are trying to deliver. Creating your own way to platform. meaning that everyone will have different ways of approaching a jiggy, or music note. Depending on what you create to help you. You can create whatever you want, with limitless possibilites. Just wait and play the game for yourself before you start bashing the game to threads.
