Back to the good old days? :O

Call of who?
this footage alone has literally and completely curb stomped CoD back to the stone age, hype is now through the roof.
Battlefield is rocking the building fellas, take your hats off while this monster take your life to a virtual level of rock
Man that looks so awesome and real looking. I can't wait to get Battlefield 3. The last Battlefield game I played was Battlefield Vietnam (not the expansion to Bad Company), so this will be a HUGE upgrade for me.
Looks really amazing. This will set a new standard for big budget shooters, at the very least in terms of graphics and gameplay variety.
Okay, okay, that is some of the most awesome footage of a game evah !! :D
So now, how much should I expect to pay for a PC that can run this sucka the way it's meant to play ? Serious question.
CoD fanboy in denial :D Multiplayer footage MW3 has not been released yet so calm down and reserve judgement until multi for both games is out. The trailer looked cool don't get be wrong but I have a feeling Cod has something under its sleeves.[QUOTE="Golden_Boy187"]
And it still won't be better than MW3

Although I would agree with you about reserving judgment untill more info is out if we were comparing BF3 with another franchise, but given CoD's track record, I doubt there will be any significant changes. hell CoD4 to CoD: Blops has experienced very small and minute changes, both graphically and gameplay wise. Hell personally, I still feel CoD4's MP is significantly better and more balanced than MW2, BLOPS, and WaW (I did enjoy WaW quite a bit though, but thats cuz I really like WW2 as a time era, its campaign was also fairly good, certainly better than MW2's and BLOPS's)[QUOTE="Golden_Boy187"]

After seeing the CoD horde mode, I don't think they have anythin gunder their sleeves for the multiplayer. Any major changes to it would do more damage than good. If you're expecting them to innovate, you're playing the wrong game. CoD is a cash cow. Minimal R&D, maximum profits. Simple as that. It's up to other games like BF3 and Red Ochestra 2 to do the innovation as the cash cow continues to be milked.
[QUOTE="Golden_Boy187"]Saying it wont sell better than the overhyped and praised MW3 would be true. But as a game as a whole, in terms of quality and the value you get from it, BF3 will be far superior to MW3. Hell MW3 is the casual FPS, made for casuals and kids who cant play an FPS that actually takes skill, or who are your average "Wii" gamer who also has an X360/PS3. They pay the same amount as you 'hardcore' 'elite' for their games so what makes your opinion better? Those are the real customers in gaming as they don't moan about 'consolisation' like the 'hardcore'. 'kids' well I, along as some friends, ain't kids because after a day of work who wants to sweat on BF when games are meant for relaxing? And it still won't be better than MW3

Are the Jets only on the PC. I'm not sure they would work with only 24 players

I'm sure they're on console versions as well. Dice would've said something if it weren't.

Hey a gamer can have a dream... They may surprise us have faith. I agree with the other fella what is BF innovating? seems like improvements not innovations to me.I'm not going to lie though. If MW3 added vehicles and jets...that would change the match up between Battlefield and COD.

Jets are on PC and Consoles. Jets have a bigger playing area than other vehicles or on foot. Let's say the map is normally 1500km big, but Jets get to go past those 1500km boundaries (they have their own boundary limits), so on jets the map would be as big as 2000km.

I was just thinking that it will be harder to do well with less people. You can't really have just one jet per side. You need it to be at least two or three to be any fun, and at that point your player count starts to seem real small

I think they did say Jets were PC exclusive a while ago.Link? I haven't heard about that. I'll be very disappointed if it's true.
.... why are you acting like this is an exclusive club? anyone can go buy a pre-built rig or go learn how to build one if they wanted too, this isn't exclusive to anyone.Console gamers are not getting any of this
feels good man, they dont deserve it anyway

Have you ever played Warhawk? Notice how the map is small on the ground, but once you get on an air vehicle the map expands and you have more room to fly. That's exactly how it works here.
