Get about 2$ diffrence with lower visuals anyway. Only elitist geeks with 2 titans will care. The rest of the world will not.

would having windows 7 32 bit really make a different compared to windows 8 64bit?

lostrib

No one should be using a 32bit OS anymore

Half the TOTAL PC market share is Windows XP 32-bit machines.

Windows XP owns a 37.47% Desktop Operating System Market Share.

Only Windows 7 is higher, with 44.82%

Every other OS is MILES behind.

you can easily figure it out if you look at your system properties, or if you open task manager and your PC can actually see all 8gb of RAM

Yes, yes you should. And get Windows 8. With the new changes it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, and you do get better performance in games and such. It usually results in having lower dips in framerate compared to 7.

XBOUnity--did you have someone else build it for you or did you buy it? Because if someone built it for you or you bought it, the chances of it being 32 bit are VERY low. No system builder who knew what they were doing would buy an 8Gb RAM kit when they're using 32bit Windows, which only uses up to 4Gb.

I saw the GFX 660 Ti at best buy and thought it was a good deal. Then I see that is what is *recommended* for BF4. I hate running right at rec. I like to go a few cards past. sucks to be me.

well the 7950 Ghz edition cost $30 more and has 1GB extra, you can't go wrong with either card, but i say better save that money and pick a more powerful one later on..plus a better CPU if yours is going to get crippled with the time.

I should be fine for recommended but my GTX 590 is probably getting a bit long in the tooth to max it and still get good frame rates. Who knows though with new drivers after release it may still do well.

Was there any doubt?

I also have the GTX 570 but I have 2560 mb dedicated memory, and it says total graphics memory at 4095. probably won''t make a difference though, medium here I come.. at least it'll be like the Console versions.

The 3GB requirement is probably a way to promote AMD's Hawaii, since they're coming out soon, and I believe even mid-range cards will have 3GB.

The standard 660/7870 comes in 2GB anyway, I don't think a 3GB 7870 even exists.

Recommended probably means High @ 60fps, but not locked, probably using a mix of medium and high you can get locked 60fps.

[QUOTE="wolverine4262"]My GTX570 only has 1280mb of VRAM, so Im guessing Ill be lacking aa. :( [QUOTE="Sagem28"]

Looks like I'm good.

FLOPPAGE_50

Was there any doubt?

I also have the GTX 570 but I have 2560 mb dedicated memory, and it says total graphics memory at 4095. probably won''t make a difference though, medium here I come.. at least it'll be like the Console versions.

the only difference is that on consoles it'll be pathetic 720p and on pc its the juicy 1080p+

My 660ti is 1 GB short on GPU memory to meet recommended specs.... Will not upgrade until Titan has a successor though.

I'm sure you'd only need that much memory with a lot of AA on.

Never saw a point to upgrade my 580 all these years and the titan had me tempted. I think I can still hold out for a couple 880s. Ah my next build is gonna be fun.

silversix_

get the inferior 720p ps4 version then.

lol you didn't see me b*tchin about the poor ps4 port? They aren't getting my money if its really 720p/medium setting... Also, do you seriously think it'll be better on the inferior console, Xbone? No so its shit on both sides.

why would i bring up the xbox one ? i know you are not getting it, that's why i told you to pick the other inferior version.

That's kind of what I assumed considering they're partnering with AMD and what do you know, AMD just happens to have a line of GPUs with EXACTLY 3Gb of VRAM  . I have a feeling the extra VRAM is simply if you want to enable super **** high resolution textures which wouldn't even be discernable from the 1Gb textures unless you're using a 1080p+ monitor or standing 2 inches away from the object.

Wow, 3 gigs of vram... :o

Consoles have pushed PC gamers quite a bit with that vram.

Outside of Windows 8 I should be good on the recommended front. Though it will take some really impressive looking gameplay for me to want BF4.
