um except it does? its a proven fact that beyond a certain distance the background stops being any sort of 3d *and as one can see the 3d backgrounds of this game look like total crap* and become high res GIFs the sky is a high res gif and quite a bit of distant buildings and foilage are high res gifs....as one can see by your pics so much graphical power is going into the cars that every thing else looks like trash.

TOY CARS
add motion blur to that pic and it will look better then those Gt5 pics
Wow, that doesn't even touch Forza 3 in graphics. :| I expected more from Polyphony. :(

It seems Turn 10 not only has created better backgrounds, but far superior models to boot.
Toss up in the graphics area too ;) (have we even seen GT5 REAL gameplay yet? I'm tired of all this CGI trash)Motion blur to hide poor textures ftw!!! Anyway, yeah GT5 looks better than Forza 3, but it's a tossup in the gameplay department which is where it matters.
tmatte
Yeah, I watched the gameplay vids. FM3 looks better than GT5, and if history repeats itself, it'll be the better playing game of the two to boot.

And my god, Forza 3 looks beautiful. I love Turn 10. No long wait and they put out the greatest racer ever made. You're my god **** hero BioShockOwnzYeah, I watched the gameplay vids. FM3 looks better than GT5, and if history repeats itself, it'll be the better playing game of the two to boot.

There's really no bigger graphics junkie than myself at Turn 10 and I'm constantly surprised by just how insanely next generation the game looks from a visual standpoint. Not only have the cars themselves gotten much more detailed, our 100+ tracks in the game provide some truly inspired locales to fuel your car passion. Much of the leap in graphical fidelity with Forza 3 was made possible by our game engine developers, whom, in the early days (think summer of 2007) set out to rebuild a new renderer and content pipeline for Forza 3. So just like before, Forza 3 runs at a glassy smooth 60 frames-per-second, with our physics calculating underneath the hood at a much higher framerate. New shaders and tech puts the finishing touches on an already handsome Forza Motorsport 2. Likewise, with the gameplay video, everything was captured in-game with no faked CG whatsoever. At Turn 10, we don't do bullshots.
From turn 10 themselves,
please do show us these video's as there are none that I know of that are directfeed, and of high quality.

You thinking that anyone would spend more than 30 seconds jokingly editing an image for system wars = fail
Wow, that doesn't even touch Forza 3 in graphics. :| I expected more from Polyphony. :(

Yes, look at that stunning background, look how realistic it looks. Why it looks to me as if someone has taken a photograph and pasted it into the background. Amazing. /sarcasm
The background and enviroment in Forza still looks crap. Neither are anywhere near to how good PGR4 looks overall. Car models are superior, yes, but I find it hard to believe everything else with the exception of the roads still looks terrible.

Ummm, it's leagues better than PGR4, and that's not saying much as PGR4 environments weren't as great as people make them out to be.[QUOTE="-RocBoys9489-"]New GT5 screenshot from PolyphonyNOW THAT, is the most beautiful car in the world, better than some weird citrogen, But no, not GT I work for Polyphony, it IS GT5.Tobin09

I guess when you want a game to look bad, it's easy to ignore the good stuff that maters, and base your oppinion on the bad that doesn't.
Where is the gameplay screenshots with 16 cars on track?
foxhound_fox
It is just a promo for the car, so the screens will be touched up to hell and back

oh i wouldnt be suprise when fanboys hyped the game up for its graphic and then when the game receives AAA or 9.0+ they rushed out to buy it. Play a few hours of the game, find it way too hard then quit. Learning curve for racing sim isnt that casual ;)

I don't want the game to be bad. That does look alot better though. If someone wanted the game to look impressive this is what they should have shown. When I see a picture of a car going along a road with a photgraph in the background I'm not going to be impressed. If the game came out and looked like this with the car models in that enviroment then it would look impressive, which brings me to the question, why is there no car in that picture?
