Welp...
Cnet PSVita vs 3DS

It's not that big to be honest, slightly bigger than a PSP.Holy crap the Vita is bigger than I thought :?

I'm calling bs because the guy narrating the video said about a month ago that he thought the Vita was a total failure and wouldn't even get released outside of Japan. In the fourth round they didn't even mention Mario Kart 7 or Tales of the Abyss. Video was crackers.

Wait till you actually touch it and see the screen.. you'll be holy crap even more :P
Wasn't the guy narrating the video just giving the overall opinions of the two reviewers anyway?I'm calling bs because the guy narrating the video said about a month ago that he thought the Vita was a total failure and wouldn't even get released outside of Japan. Same. Kind of surprising to see the Vita win the games round, even though the consensus here says otherwise. Hardly. The Vita rivals the 3DS even at launch.[QUOTE="Nonstop-Madness"]I expected the Vita to win in everything but Value and Games. Bigboi500
Why not? The 3DS has been out much longer and yet lacks a significantly better library.i stopped watching when psvita won the the game library fight...
like...seriously?

wouldn't it also put the 3ds at a disadvantage? The hardware is clearly better with the Vita, but it's the price and the fact that there are tablets and smartphone out there which put the Vita at a major disadvantage.

[QUOTE="Wasdie"]wouldn't it also put the 3ds at a disadvantage? The thing is, is that the 3DS is unique and different from that of a smart phone or a tablet. The hardware is clearly better with the Vita, but it's the price and the fact that there are tablets and smartphone out there which put the Vita at a major disadvantage.

the 3ds library is better than vita...lets not bring out the list.. its been out a year!
cnet thing is bull..
[QUOTE="infinite884"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]wouldn't it also put the 3ds at a disadvantage? No. Because the 3DS is cheaper than tablets. The Vita is near price range of many tablets. when it came out it was 250, lets not act like the thing was super cheap from the start. The only reason it got a price drop was because people were content with their smart phones and tablets and didn't see a need for it. The price got cheaper, people were more comfortable with spending it for it.The hardware is clearly better with the Vita, but it's the price and the fact that there are tablets and smartphone out there which put the Vita at a major disadvantage.

not mad... i mean they gotta get their views and i suppose its good for the industry to promote the lesser selling handheld...so more power to them..
im just speaking of us gamers who know better..
graphics? 3d>2d for me.. but i do enjoy good 2d...so vita is very nice too.
that asian guy with the mowhawk...not impressed.
So, it was the same for DS and PSP. Yet, DS crushed the PSP. Power means nothing over that of the software.
Not saying the PSV is bad by ANY means. But to think it will beat the 3DS by power alone is a little crazy...since we have seen time and time again that power means nothing. It about the games and experienced offered.
I'm sure the Vita will do fine; along the lines of the PSP, but I don't think it going to beat the 3DS in terms of games. Resident Evil: R is one of the best handheld and RE games I've played in years.
PS Vita dual analog sticks, a 5 inch screen, and better graphics vs Nint's 3.5 inch screen, one analog stick, and sub graphics. It's no contest, but people will still buy NInt's more. Just like the PS3 kicks the Wii's butt technologically and is a far better system and the Wii far outsold the PS3. I can't figure out why all of a sudden Sony is being outsold by crappier systems?! It's puzzling!
I sense a strong Sony bias over at CNET. Don't get me wrong here, I really, REALLY wanted to like the Vita, but it has too many flaws right now. -Those dual analog sticks everyone's raving about? Not enough throw, like half that of the 3DS Circle Pad. They're a bit better than the PSP's analog nub, but that's not saying much. For such a hyped selling point, it's a big letdown. -Too many proprietary accessories. Not just the memory cards (which aren't even that fast), but PROPRIETARY USB CABLES, too. Coming from the PSP, that's just ridiculous. -No save game management? WTF, Sony? For instance, if you have a game stored on the internal memory card, but need to delete it to make room, you have to delete its associated save too. Yet another way that the PSP is better than its own successor... As a result, even though I could afford it, I bought a 3DS instead this past week, especially now that its games are getting good. However, I do have to call out the 3DS' flaws too: -Circle Pad Pro? Really, Nintendo? That should've been integrated into the system to begin with. The only consolation I'll give here is that they're far better analogs than the Vita's. -Region locking, introduced back with the DSi. I see no good reason for that. -Less battery life compared to their older handhelds. At least the battery's relatively user-replacable/upgradable. In the meantime, I'm hoping that the Vita gets a hardware revision that has much better analog sticks, and by then, there will be killer apps and the accessories will have hopefully dropped in price (especially those damn memory cards).NamelessPlayer
Lol your Analog stick rant is a bit of bs, never experienced any of those issues.
sony is being outsold by cheaper systems, if the wii was the same price as the 360 or ps3, that sh*t wouldn't sale as much as it did. If the 3ds and vita would have launch at the same time with that 250 price tag then i would be very interested to see what would happen there.PS Vita dual analog sticks, a 5 inch screen, and better graphics vs Nint's 3.5 inch screen, one analog stick, and sub graphics. Let's not insult the PS1 now. You guys have obsiously not played games like Revelations on the 3DS it looks fantastic and plays very well too. The 3DS software line up IS superior so that of the Vita, theres really no denying that3ds has more titles that appeal to me right now like resident evil or mario kart.
but none have games that are good enough to make u buy either of them.
[QUOTE="Eponique"]
I stopped watching when the Vita won in games. Lol "Uncharted killer game". We'll look back on it like Pilotwings or Super Mario 64 DS.
clr84651
PS Vita wins in games because they're better games with far better graphics. Quality beats quantity.
They're average, or they're ports. Nothing on the level of Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 or Resident Evil Revelations yet.[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="finalstar2007"]Let's not insult the PS1 now. Lumines, touch my katamari, i'm sorry but those 2 games sh*t over the 3ds line up, at least for me.

The 3DS you still use a stylus! Are you kidding me, touch screens use fingers, my cell phone is touch screen by my fingers. Nint is caught in the past and can't keep up with Sony Technologically. The PS3 outperfoms the Wii and the PS Vita outperforms the 3DS! Period!

Nothing on the level of Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 or Resident Evil Revelations yet.To me Uncharted Golden Abyss == Resident Evil Revelations in terms of gameplay quality. The only reason I prefer Resi Evil slightly more than Golden Abyss is the insanely good RAID mode on RE:R. I would say right now Vita and 3DS have pretty similar quality of librarys right now (in my opinion), that being both have some awesome games.

Well then you're going into opinions. But really those two games are better than Mario Kart, OoT, Revelations, MGS, Mario 3D Land, Dead or Alive etc? The 3DS software kills it if anything because it's been out longer, but those two game by no means **** all over the 3DS softwarePlease Log In to post.
