Drawing is all well and fine, but a low resolution such as that, drawing is rather limited anyway! Precision is a very valid point though, I have very stubby fingers!

you can calibrate 3ds to use your fingers...
i use my fingers a lot on 3ds but sometimes you need precision which is where the stylus comes in..

I think that's kinda sad i have like 500$ to waste and i wont buy a vita or 3ds because theres no **** games i want.

To me Uncharted Golden Abyss == Resident Evil Revelations in terms of gameplay quality. The only reason I prefer Resi Evil slightly more than Golden Abyss is the insanely good RAID mode on RE:R. I would say right now Vita and 3DS have pretty similar quality of librarys right now (in my opinion), that being both have some awesome games.

Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Escape Plan, Super Stardust, Lumines, Touch my Kat-what'sit-called, Modnation Racers, erm, that's pretty much it. But that is still a similar number to the 3ds.

Don't judge a game by it's cover. I have played through both titles in question extensively.

Don't get me wrong, Uncharted is no killer app per say, but it's remarkably good for a launch title. From what I understand from some of the lower review scores for Uncharted game suffers from uncanny valley, in that these revirewers directly compared Uncharted to it's console counterparts, highlighting it's shortcomings, rather than highlighting the positives (such a cinematic game on a handheld for instance.) Meanwhile Resi got away clean from this.

I'm not saying Uncharted was wrongly reviewed, it is by no means a 9/10 game, I'm just trying to offer a potential explanation as to why in some cases Uncharted got mediocre reviews (such as here on GS).

Sales =/= Quality. PS Vita has superior hardware to the 3DS that is fact. Software is subjective since everyone has different taste.

A couple of things after finally getting a chance to watch the video.

• "The 3DS doesn't really bring anything new"

They've completely ignored the 3D aspect of the device. I don't care if you think it's a gimmick, that doesn't matter in a comparison of the two devices. Glasses free 3D in gaming is a big deal, as there isn't any other device on market that offers a similar experience.It's stupid to ignore one of the 3DS' big features in a comparison video. Saying "well, if 3D is for you the 3DS makes sense" isn't good enough, they're undermining a key feature.

• Why are we still using a stylus?

This one is weird, since there's a number of people that still prefer resistive touch screen technologies for gaming more than capacitive. There's obvious people that prefer capacitive but, for me resistive is far more precise for gaming.

• Vita has a ton of games like Rayman Origins, 3DS is just now starting to get original content

Ummmm, the Vita's launch line up has been full of ports/multiplatform titles. If you're going to say that the 3DS has only now just begun to receive original content as some what of a negative, you should state the same about the Vita having a ton of multiplatform releases on their console - Lets be fair here.

• eShop titles feel dated

Pushmo. Mighty Switch Force. Mutant Mudds. Sakura Samurai. Dillion's Rolling Western.

A better comparison would've been something like

• Vita has better hardware
  • However, proprietary memory storage and games retailing for up to $49.99 might be an issue
• 3DS has great hardware as well with a 3D screen
  • Less powerful than a Vita, but games are still $39.99 (too high), but include on board memory and a 2GB SD card
• Games
  • Vita has launch titles and is still waiting for a few more original hits
  • 3DS has a head start and has a solid line up worthy of a purchase at this point -- and more titles are coming shortly
• Battery life
  • Both suck
• Price
  • If you're a hardware junkie, the Vita is absolutely worth the price. However, it's still lacking in content so you might be better off waiting a year for the library to build up
  • 3DS is $169 now with a solid line up ready for consumers who want something more affordable that offers something new by way of glasses free 3D

I find my analysis to not undermine any of the platforms at all. No console or platform has ever been amazing since launch and Vita isn't going to be one of those platforms either, the content is still lacking in terms of compelling, system selling software. After a year, more content will make it more worth wild definitely. The 3DS was in this same exact spot a year ago.

Vita is much better tech wise, but the 3ds has a better library at the moment(yeah, it's my opinion... deal with it :x :P ).

So, it was the same for DS and PSP. Yet, DS crushed the PSP. Power means nothing over that of the software.

Not saying the PSV is bad by ANY means. But to think it will beat the 3DS by power alone is a little crazy...since we have seen time and time again that power means nothing. It about the games and experienced offered.

I'm sure the Vita will do fine; along the lines of the PSP, but I don't think it going to beat the 3DS in terms of games. Resident Evil: R is one of the best handheld and RE games I've played in years.

Here's the difference here. PSP had way more flaws than the DS did. I mean look... DS had an amazing library while PSP just has a handful of good games, not dozens of good games. Also the PSP is poorly shaped and the nub on it is "meh." Vita and 3DS? Vita launched with an amazing library already, thats a plus.

In reality it all comes down to opinion but I will never buy a 3DS I decided that much at launch. And this is coming from an owner of a PSP, DS Lite and DSi. The 3DS offers nothing I want. The Vita on the other hand... I like.

I expected the Vita to win in everything but Value and Games. Nonstop-Madness
